Restaurant refused to honor Groupon for party of 2, even though I was a party of 1 due to a friend unable to attend. I was prepared to order and eat one appetizer, two entrees, and one desert, per the Groupon offer, but after I made my selections the waitress returned and informed me regrettably that the manager hiding behind the bar decreed that there had to be 2 people in the party. I reviewed the Groupon terms and there were no restrictions that the party *must* be for 2; they only have rules if more than 2 people are in a party. I wouldnt come here again because this business practices in a manner that reminds me the worst of my Asian culture, all about money and no sense of customer service and not seeing the forest for the trees. Did they ever think that if I liked my dining experience maybe I would want to have my birthday dinner here? Too bad, that option is now off the table.

On a day where it was 92 degrees outside you would expect the restuarant to have an adequate air conditioning system going but instead we sat there sweating as we eat. The heat made sushi gross and unappetizing, water served wasnt even cold, the seafood dish was bland, and too much fat was left on steak. After dinner I was hoping that desserts will redeem my impression of the restuarant but again i was dissapointed to find out that just about half of the items on dessert menu wasnt even available. Do not reccomend it, if you like Thai food, try Brown Sugar instead where prices is better and food is much better and at least youll be comfortable as you eat.

They dont even value their customers, that they setup a stupid groupon discount to trick their customers. The Groupon discount said to be buy $45 to get up to $94 value, but the limited you to have only one Starter, two entries, one desert for two people. I mean this is for two people, one starter, one desert? Of course not enough, right? So you started to order something else thinking that you have up to $94 value to spend. But turning out that you are trapped in the ridiculous rule and end up paying a total amount (Groupon Price + Difference) that is more than the $94 value. Im sick of company like this to make you feel stupid of honoring your purchase.

What a joke. This was my second visit to Typhoon. The food was good, albeit a bit overpriced on Sunday for the tiny portions. The problem was the waiter, or lack of waiter. He didnt exist. He had two tables, and just sat in the back. I had to fight to get drink refills. Then they charged for each ice tea refill without telling me. The service was miserable. My suggestions, even though the food was decent, would be to stay away from this place unless you want crappy service.

This is one of the best Asian restaurants in Boston. Love the decor, simple and chic with a wall of liquor display, and a long wall of stone tiles. With the ivory table clothes and candles, the romance fills our dinner every time. The pan-fried salmon with chili salad is my all time favorite. My husband always go for their sushi. The drinks are also very tasty. Their scorpion bowls are our addiction. The staff makes us feel at home every time.

The decor was actually nice! I dont know why people didnt like the style of it. However the food doesnt match up with the price. I also bought the groupon and it totally was not worth it. I paid $45 for the dinner for two thinking that it would be great food but it was really a disappointment. The waiters and servers were very nice but they didnt seem to have much knowledge of the groupon. The food is definitely not worth the money

Worst service ever, after 15 minutes of waiting a server stopped at 3 surrounding tables, each with diners mostly finished eating, and left without looking at us. Every request for food, drink was preceded by our complaining, never offered - except the check. That came with an 18% tip built in. Food was adequate, cocktails paltry. Avoid this place, youre better off at Chipolte.

The food was good - shrimp rangoon (thankfully they replaced the first plate because of a hair), crispy pad Thai, kung pao lomein and tiramisu. We went there with a Groupon. So they snuck in a 18% mandatory tip for just the two of us. If you do something like this, at least let the customer know before they leave you an extra 20 % tip.

its horrible. Please do not waste you money. We ordered the Crispy Pad Thai and Thai Steak. The crispy pad Thai was nothing but instant noodles and tons of salt, we could not eat. The steak did not taste at all. Over all, it is very expensive and not worth it.

Really good sushi and scorpion bowls! Not super busy and very clean. Great service too. Found them on groupon and have been back a few times since.

Be very careful about sushi at Typhoon, I ate here and really regretted it - particularly for the next 24 hours.
