Disappointed all around. The best part of the "burger" was the bun and the toppings. I ordered online to pick up. The website told me estimated pick up time - 30 minutes. I got there 30 minutes later to a near empty restaurant. Dont know what would take 30 minutes to make my fairly simple order of Bacon Cheddar Burger and cheese tots. Well the order must have not taken 30 minutes and was sitting on the bar there for me when I got in there, and 2 minutes later when I got to my hotel room, the burger and the cheese tots were cold. Burger was warm, the tots were legitimately COLD. Other reviews say how huge the burgers are. Mine was not so big. It is not one of those big fat juicy burgers that is round and dripping with juice. It was one of those flat thin burgers that reminded me of those frozen pre made burgers that were served from the food service, thrown on the grill frozen and just cooked from there. The website allows you to choose your burger either medium or well-done. I put in the notes on my order medium rare. The burger was not hardly cooked. It wasnt medium rare. It was basically seared on both sides of the thin wimpy burger and then raw on the middle. The meat quality was poor since it was raw, I had to pick out all sorts of grisle and uncooked meat. Then the Bacon Cheddar burger further disappointed. There was no bacon on the burger. I think the cook was perhaps confounded by the infrequent "medium-rare" request and forgot about topping the Bacon Cheddar burger with bacon. To my dismay, the cold tots, numbered only 11 in a paper container that looked not so different from a fast food restaurant. With the paltry serving size, the cold 11 tots looked pathetic in the large container. The sesame brioche and toppings on the burger were satisfactory. The raw white onion on top was nice flavor and mild, and sliced nice and thin. The butter lettuce seemed fresh and clean. The cheese was melted and the bun toasted. But boil it all down and you have a burger that is 3x the price of a fast food burger, that is not even as good as a fast food burger, and all for what? Cause there is a burger fad that these guys had a vision to create the perfect burger? I can see what they had envisioned, and perhaps another location of theirs has it mastered, but the location in Back Bay, Boston missed by a long shot. Save your extra $10 and get a better fast food burger at any of the crappy little chains.

I went to this restaurant because the Boston University Huntington Theatre Co has a pre-show reception for Invisible Man on Jan 11, 2013. We had our own private room in the back. It fits about 30 people standing room only. The restaurant provided free appetizer (for the attendee, maybe The Huntington had to pay for it) and provided a cash bar. They had about 8 different types of beers on tap, the drink range from $6-$8, and mixed drink is around $10. The appetizers were onion ring, guacamole and chip, and mini-tacos. The food kept coming. One thing I would suggest is to get a fork to eat the bed of lettuce and tomatoes the mini-taco it came on. It is tasty and nutritious! We can still order one of its many types of burgers. The beef patties were thick and juicy. They even had Japanese sushi. Two wait staff took care of us and each of us had paid with individual checks, so they really had great memories. Everything was easy about this event, it is easy to find, there are parking garages nearby, and order and paying were quick. If I was going to host a party, I would definitely consider this place.

went there back in june while i was at the convention center in boston. very late lunch so place was empty. sat at the bar and was really slow to get the attention of the bar tender who was busy cleaning up the place . unfortunately this place does not live up to the hype of the new wave of burger places. for the money it just doesnt rate as good as any of the other chain restaurants like joes american or 99s, or even Unos takes a lot longer to get seated and served than a 5 guys . my burger was bland, the toppings were sparse, and the bun was undersized for the burger. the texture was too soft and squishy and didnt get the gratifying sink your teeth in it feeling. really, just fancy names for sandwiches and descriptions of toppings can go so far. nothing is better than a burger made by hand ,seasoned, and grilled at home with good ground beef and a generous bun with home made toppings. for 15 dollars for a burger and fries plus tax tip and beverage i want to really find gratification. dont really see a reason to try again.

Im a vegetarian so this might be a weird place to stop and have lunch, but my friend and I had heard good things so after I checked to make sure there were a few options, we grabbed a seat on the patio. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she got their famous burger while I went for the veggie burger (surprise, surprise). We were sad to see that the burgers didnt come with fries (especially since they were both a little pricey, hers $11, mine $8). We ordered the classic fries anyway (kinda the reason wed gone) and I must say they were delicious. Pricey, but yum yum yum. Also the veggie burger was really good! Made from shredded beets, sunflower seeds, and a bunch of other things I bet, I really enjoyed it. It was quite large, and by the end I wasnt enjoying it so much so I would recommend splitting or taking half home. Overall Id return for the veggie burger, but the prices might just keep me away. They do have an extensive beer list though, and those prices were pretty reasonable too (for local, restaurant beer).

I was looking forward to having the "Best veggie burger in town" here and was disappointed. Service left a lot to be desired. We were seated quickly (went for a late lunch at around 3 pm, not a busy time) and waited over 5 minutes for the server to greet us. He was not at all friendly. Everything was overpriced ($12 for a very basic bloody Mary that lacked flavor, $17 for a salad with a veggie burger patty). I did enjoy the veggie burger, but it was not the best Ive ever had. Salad was a good portion size. My boyfriend got the 5N burger and said it was good but nothing to write home about. He got the tomato avocado salad, which was just a small bowl of sliced cherry tomatoes and a couple pieces of avocado, again overpriced. Overall, the food was not spectacular and the service was poor. We will not be back.

We used to live across the street from this place when it opened, I think in early 2011. We ate there frequently and I usually ordered their ahi tuna burger, which was great. We moved away from the immediate area mid-2012 and since then have only eaten there occasionally. Last night was our first visit in awhile, and I ordered my usual ahi tuna burger, rare on a multi-grain bun. The service was fast but inattentive. When it arrived, the tuna was almost well done and on a white bun. It was edible but a far cry from what I remember from previous visits. Because we were on our way to the symphony, I didnt make an issue of it or send it back. However, the waiter asked me twice if everything was ok. I answered No both times, but he ignored my answer. This restaurant is going downhill.
