You get pretty much what you expect, fast food that is much better than average, but in no way good for you. The place is very clean and well maintained, they also have wipes available if you need to re-bus your table or are paranoid about germs. They are great with kids and tolerate noise and disturbances, highchairs are spic and span. The line can get long, and that is simply a byproduct of the market and the places success so come early for lunch if you want to minimize wait times. I suggest 1130-1145 if you have kids with you.

Entered at about 12.15. Paid at 12.23 and got the food at 12.42. Im not used to nearly half an hour waiting for a burger. The queue management was poor. The wait, for 2 burgers and fries... Unreal. TBH Ive eaten much better burgers and will not be returning, Id heard a lot about this chain, in the UK but its all PR no delivery. The chicken burger was smaller than at Smash burger and thatll be my Boston quick burger of choice from now on. In/Out in the Bay Area, Edzos in Evanston, Whataburger in Dallas, all much better eats.

Excellent fast-casual burgers in an industrial-chic barn. The extremely high prices of the food and alcohol ($35 for a split of 3rd rate pinot) reflect the Back Bay location. Dont go here expecting a bargain. I had read other reviews critical of their crinkle cut fries but ours were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Personal favorite burger is the Smoke Shack Double, a cheeseburger topped with applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper, and ShackSauce. Acoustics can be noisy but service has been consistently fast.

While I come here often, its more out of convenience than love of the place. The service is by far the worst of any restaurant I have gone to. On average, they have 6-7 people working in the back and one person interfacing with the customers. They are inefficient and get orders wrong all the time. You would be pulling hair to ask them to smile and show that they actually like working here. The food is good, but over priced to be honest. Unless you have no other options, move on because its not worth the hassle.

Rude staff. They rush you to order. The vanilla milk shake tasted like butter while the chocolate milkshake tasted like chalk and the fries werent fully cooked. Do not recommend. It is unfortunate since I had heard good things about this establishment compared to in n out and five guys. But in terms of quality and price, this comes no where near as close to the others as good a value. Might as well go to McDonalds since you know what you are getting.

The burger is as good as everyone says it is. Im usually disappointed when I try a burger thats received rave reviews but in this case, it lived up to the hype. Also, while I personally loved the signature shack sauce, its mainly mayonnaise so bear that in mind if you usually ask for no mayo. It was a little noisy, as other fast-casual restaurants often are and the styling was obnoxiously pretentious but Ill be coming back for the burger regardless.

Trash on the floor. Grease, food, dirt, and mud(?) On the floor of the kitchen. Overflowing receptacles. Missing food from my order. Unfortunately this was my experience at this location. The staff were nice and helpful, but the space was disturbingly dirty. Compared this to the Las Vegas location (immaculate, well designed interior, no missed food orders), and it feels like a different company. Hopefully this Boston location will clean up.

Overall I really enjoy Shake Shack and I think the space here on newbury is decent. The tables are a little close together, but thats not a huge deal. The issue is with the pricing, which is consistent at all Shake Shacks Ive been to. A burger with fries and a drink is well over 15 dollars. While the quality is decent, this is a fast food place and the prices should be a bit more on par.

Shake shack is the perfect place to go to get a greasy delicious burger. It reminds me of the In-N-out of the East coast made with less fresh ingredients. Still delicious, but pretty pricey for what you get if you compare to In-N-out. They serve custard which is okay, I usually stick with the beers on tap or the draft root beer. Perfect place to go for a late night snack or lunch

We ordered the shroom burger, cheese fries and chocolate concrete. All food items were delicious. Great quality and nice flavour. The burger was great, the combination of the crispy patty, the sauce and the bun was well thought out and well-proportioned. The prices in general were perhaps a little high, but not ridiculous. Restaurant decoration is stylish and suitable.

The restrooms are dirty and the bottom floor smells strongly of urine. The food is average, but overpriced. The Smokestack burger that I ate consisted of COLD bacon.... possibly this was due to the bacon sitting next to the cold tomatoes for a while which is very disturbing OR it could have been frozen which is just as bad. Overall, it is pretty sad for an eatery

Finally came here after all the hype that it got for opening. And lets say Im disappointed. Sure the burger is better than 5 guys. But its also more expensive and smaller too. Bgood is still my go to place for a good burger without breaking the bank. On another note: the shakes here are good too. But again, they are expensive and on the small size.

This is the most despicable and overpriced ripoff burger "joint" Ive ever been in. I had a double hamburger. The meat was hard as a rock and full of tiny bone fragments: $7++ My fries were cold and soggy: $3 My Raspberry Limeade was syrupy sweet and tasted like moldy canned raspberry: $4 STAY AWAY FROM THIS "FAST CASUAL" NIGHTMARE..

did not live up to the hype...restaurant is clean and hipster with a fairly big menu...good service, though a bit on the slow side...i was underwhelmed with the patty (a bit oily), buns (too soft, not toasted), and shake (too runny), but i suppose thats based on my personal preference...(i still prefer in-n-out, also less expensive!)

I order two patties, cheese with bacon in a lettuce wrap which is great low carb option. Shake Shack never gets my order wrong and the quality and presentation is consistent every time. I wish this location was larger as the line at lunch can be long and there is little space to sit. There is outdoor seating in the warmer months.
