A friend and I came for drinks and an appetizer. The drinks were very good and the nachos werent bad. Our waiter was very nice and attentive! The only issue I had was I placed an order to go to bring home to my husband. I told them more than once very adamantly no pickle in the to go box, as he cant eat any of it if the pickle touches it. Well, I bring it home and he takes his first bite of the fries and with an awfu face digs under his fries. Underneath hiding, there was the pickle. Thanks, I love throwing money in the trash.

Great affordable local family owned and operated restaurants have disappeared in the Frederick area. Overpriced mediocre franchises have all but made them extinct. Village Tavern has stood its ground with excellent food, affordable prices, welcoming family atmosphere, friendly staff and loyal customers who appreciate all of the above. When we go out to dinner its straight to Walkersville and The Village Tavern.

My experience at the tavern was wonderful. The waitress was very attentive kind and the food was on time. Great drinks served delicious dessert presented and overall friendly environment. This is a great restaurant for family and friends. Very relaxing atmosphere and they always have great music playing. I highly recommend giving this restaurant

Very pleasant. Good was very good and?quantity of food was sufficient to make me full, not uncomfortable. Wait staff was very busy but still managed to check in. Very good experience. I will definitely go again.

Excellent diner fare at a good price point. I was out in the area for work and decided to give this place a try. The food was great as was the service. Will definitely eat here again the next time Im in tow.

Wonderful staff and the best crab dip in Maryland! Be prepared for a wait if you get here right at dinner time... The place is usually packed from 6pm until 7:30 or so especially on a Friday night.
