This has become a family favorite. First and foremost, they have excellent selections of food for the both the vegetarian and the vegan in our house. Second, the food is fresh and delicious. Third, this is a locally owned small business, and we love shopping at places like this! This is a "Chipotle" style fast food place in which you start at one end of the counter, work your way down adding toppings and sauce, and then pay before sitting down. The seating area is quite large and frequently pretty sparse, but they do a decent amount of business. Dont let that throw you off! Theyve only been around about a year or so and have only gotten better with time. They do rice bowls, salad bowls, naan wraps, and now naan pizzas. Ive only ever ordered rice bowls and naan wraps because theyre so good. The signature sauce is supposedly the spiciest, but I would say its a "medium" spice. This restaurant is certainly worth the visit!

wow - we were very impressed by this place and really wish we had one in McLean. The concept is like an Indian Chipotle. We had 3 rice bowls, one with paneer (cheese), one lamb, one chicken. The sauces are delicious and fresh, the meat was perfectly cooked - even our kids loved their paneer with rice and chick peas. If youve never tried Indian food, this is a really good place to start as its not too spicy but has a delicious combination of flavors. Indian food is our favorite and this did not disappoint. Delicious, healthy, fresh, affordable - I REALLY wish it were closer than 20 min from my house. Seems like a family business too - wish them the best of luck!

Since their opening, we’ve been visiting the Banyan Tree and the food is always great! We love the freshness of their selections and that homemade taste, something that is missing nowadays in a lot of eateries. And believe me, my wife is a particular critic on this, in view of her vast culinary experience in the catering business. This is an admirable family venture with the sole focus to offer you flavorful and delicious food with great welcoming service. We are looking forward to have them around for a long, long time. I figured I try this new South Asian restaurant in Fairfax. Pros- Only thing i can say good about it was that the store was clean.Cons- very high prices(compared to similar restaurants ), but what had struck me as odd was the fact the food handlers were NOT wearing gloves(gross).I can`t even describe how incredibly disgusted it was to see there bare hands literally touching the food that I just went next door to Chipotle.

Very good food and atmosphere is family friendly. It is an Indian chipotle, the prices are the same and the buffet line style. The food is good tasting, healthy and they give big portions aka lunch might cost you 8$ but it will be some of your dinner too. I never finish the whole bowl in one sitting. If you want a place for healthy fast food in Fairfax, I highly recommend banyan tree. They also have free Wi-Fi.

Nice take on fast casual Indian food. Prices seem a little high for fast casual when it comes to the red meat options. The good news is that the vegetarian and chicken options are quite good and the pricing system is very clear and honest. The sauces are excellent, the naan is fresh, and the samosas are very nice. Service and atmosphere are clean, friendly, patient, and fast.

This place satisfies, both food and customer service wise. The owners are delightful, friendly, and great food enthusiast (when you spend the time to chat with them.) I always leave filled up on food and great conversation. The lamb is very tasty and I love their Indian pizza. (and the beer selection) and…well just drop by and you will find your own favorites.

Delivery ordered the Tikka Masala. What I got for my $50 was a tiny amount of spiced chicken sat on dry rice with about a teaspoon of sauce and luke-warm samosas. Next time Ill stick with Curry Mantra where you get tons of sauce. The flavors were promising, so it is a shame there was hardly any to no sauce.

Absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly... The garlic naan is made fresh on order and all the suaces taste authentic. A little pricey but well worth it. I hope they are successful in the future because the food is great and it has a lot of potential
