I live just down the street, so I was excited when this place went in. Coffee, bites, craft beer, and outdoor seating? Yes please. A few weekends ago, I took the plunge with a friend of mine who was visiting from out of town; it was a perfect afternoon for outdoor drinks, and there was a happy hour sign with a tempting wine by the glass deal. 1. I went inside to get seated. At least 4 employees looked at me and walked away before someone had to tell someone else to help me. 2. We asked if we could sit outside; they said yes. We went to sit at an ideally shaded table that they had set up. We were asked to choose a different table (not in the shade) by the waiter because it would be more convenient for him. We dutifully moved. 3. We asked about the wines on the advertised happy hour sign. We were told that happy hour was only on week days. We said that it was the sign that brought us there and would they honor it. The waiter went to check, but said no that they would not honor the happy hour. Needless to say we left. Not honoring advertised drink special. Check. Poor customer service. Check. Setting up lovely shaded seating only to be told to move. Check. Plus, look at the menu--way overpriced. That said, the prices are standard for this town, so even though they are ridiculous, they dont figure into the rating.

We were looking for a fabulous spot for my birthday dinner. Well, we certainly found it. Between us we had the brussels sprouts (small portion but yummy), the chicken pot pie which was perfectly made ... not too crusty and the sauce was to die for, grilled rockfish (cooked to perfection) over cauliflower puree and haricot vert and cornish hen over wild rice. Meals came out hot and all at the same time. Staff and owner are incredibly friendly and hospitable. In fact, when the owner learned it was my birthday, he insisted that we have the inside out Smores Brownie on the house!! Although I live in Falls Church, I will definitely make the trip over to Silver Spring to try some of the other items on the menu.

I enjoyed my meal here. The custom Bi Bim Bap bowls were great - especially for vegetarian and gluten free options. The dumplings (mandu) are perfect. Perfectly fried dumplings - not something you see at every Asian restaurant. The bulgogi was good, and I especially enjoyed the zuchinni fritters - what a fun way to make a gluten free fritter! My only gripe was the service. It was totally fine & acceptable, but it seemed like the staff were getting their feet under them. Tons of potential to improve, and I will definitely go back. But, they didnt bring water to the table, just the drinks we ordered. Im a water person, so take that FWIW. Overall the service was totally fine, just some room to improve.

Ive had BimBim Bap in many places. I have to say my first surprise was going in and the cook wasnt Koren. My friend had the glass noodles and they were gummy and kind of gross. The mushrooms werent cooked in mine and also gummy. We watched the woman cook and she seemed to mix up our sauces. Also everything was prepackaged and not fresh. I watched her open a prebox of garlic and mandolin half the clove then throw the other half ( when she ran into the risk of cutting her fingers instead of using a mandolin cover) in the trash. It wasnt horrible just not a place Id come back to.

Man I was really hoping this place would be good. Flavors: 3.5 stars, the food was tasty but didnt wow, particularly the zucchini fritters. Price/Portions: 2 stars, everything was just a little too expensive. The most enjoyable thing thing about bibimbap is the assortment of topping; here youre pretty limited unless youre willing to pay $13+. The fritters felt like a rip off, the 8 pieces we got cost us $6. On top of that, no banchan with the meal

Solid addition to this Downtown Silver Spring locale that blends functioning auto-mechanic shops with reclaimed auto-mechanic shops. We opted for a small plates format (all less than $10 each) instead of the Resto Week menu: including crispy brussel sprouts; risotto; fried oysters; and quirky memorable mixed drinks, like the "beetlejuice". Dessert was the winner: Bruleed Figs, and the "Smorte" (smore + tarte), paired with house-made Limoncello!

Liked it when it was Sligo Cafe. Loving it as Bibim. Went on a chill Monday for dinner, just barely missing happy hour ($6 soju, $5 rail and drafts). My partner and I started with the wings. We did soy garlic but will probably go hotter next time. I had the spicy pork ssam and he built his own bowl. Both were outstanding. Prices seem right. Service was attentive. Would come back for happy hour and patio drinking one afternoon

The food is great and the happy hour prices are excellent. The happy hour drink specials are decent, but some cocktails are a bit pricey. Several of their entrees looked promising but we stuck to the happy hour menu because it was cheaper and there were many small bites to try.

Bibim is Koraen restaurant and they sell Bibimbap, which is one of famous Korean foods. I, myself, as a Korea, tried bibimbap at Bibim. They are nice, but they are not authentic Korean, rather more westernized. Still they are very tasty, but pricey. I may come back again.

Unique ( for the downtown area) food, good drinks, and plenty of outdoor seating make this place great for groups and dates. Dogs are welcome outside, and the signature Bibim is work the trip. Crowds are never to much, the music is right, and the food is worth it.

The food was good, but the service took too long. We waited about 10 minutes before a waitress checked in with us. And it took a long time to get our food. Not the best if you are starving and hoping for a quick meal.

Food was pretty good, but Ive definitely had better. Beef was over cooked and spicy pork was almost completely fat. Vegetables in the bibim bowl tasted fresh. Waiter was very friendly and service was good.

We really enjoy having dinner at Bibim in Silver Spring. We often get the build your own Bibim bowl customized to our liking. And the Pa Jeon is excellent as well.
