Cafe Mezz is one of my favorite special occasion restaurants. They use organic sustainable ingredients. Ive been going since before they had the switch to organic sustainable ingredients and the food quality has always been there and continues to be. You get amazing Italian dishes, both classic and their own spin on things. The come out piping hot, with great presentation and the perfect mix of flavors. Its on the pricey side, but its also on the fancy side inside and in quality and presentation. You get high end restaurant presentation without the high-end price and serving size. So, yes, its pricey compared to typical Italian. But you do get better food, better presentation, and good portion size (youll finish it and be full). The only complaint I have is that its easy to miss coming southbound and requires a U-turn if coming northbound. But its worth the U-turn! The restaurant has a classy look and the food to match!

Elegant, delicious hidden gem! I loved this Italian restaurant and so glad I found them as I never knew driving past it on Ritchie Highway. Walked in to a nice dining room with white tablecloths and separate bar area with longue that looked nice.Service was wonderful, especially since we walked in 40 minutes before closing due to early Sunday hours. Loved the farm to table concept for an Italian restaurant and food tasted fresh and very authentic. Everything we ate we enjoyed from the rosemary bread and olive oil dip to entrees. Very affordable and good portions. Brussel sprouts appetizer was crispy and perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend had a pasta with the vodka sauce and it was outstanding.I had risotto which was cooked perfectly and topped with shrimp, and filet mignon tips. Wine flight was a great price at $12 for 3 almost full glasses of wine! Overall wonderful dinner and we will be coming back!

I was at Cafe Mazzanote for brunch last Fathers day. The experience was very disappointing. The food was subpar at best. The restaurant was dated and the walls were noticeably dirty. I ordered the frittata Toscana which was noted "frittati" in the menu and it was inedible, probably the worst food Ive tried in years. They served it with slices of heated sautéed potatoes that was obviously been sitting in the fringe for days. I could not finished it. They even threw 2 slices of bacon with it but even the bacon was not freshly cook. Tenderloin Benedict was not cooked properly also serve with the old heated sauteed potato slices. Very very disappointing. Not coming back and will not recommend it to anyone. Hope this helps. Thanks, Rob

At best, this place is over priced and over hyped. At worst, a waste of time. The food is good. Not great, but good. I enjoyed my dish, but I could easily find a better one for cheaper at a lot of places. The presentation was not lacking, but the flavor was. The atmosphere is really nice with good lighting, cloth napkins, and paintings on the walls. I wasnt at all impressed with the service. Not sure what our server was doing, but he took a pretty long time to come talk to us and get us bread, etc. For the price, I would expect some pretty high class service, but you would get better service at an Olive Garden. And there was some big guy standing in the archway from the dining room just staring at customers. Pretty disappointing.

only at certain tables..but they dont bother to tell you that..Asked to be seated in the lounge-the hostess said -sit wherever you want ..so we did..When we later received our bill they had not given us the Happy Hour prices for the appetizer-nor for the drinks. When questioned, the waitress said that only the tables WITHOUT table clothes were "Happy Hour" tables! They did take the half off for the appetizer then, but did not take the dollar off on the drinks. We didnt ask again . I just wanted to get out of there. We have been going to this restaurant for years..usually in the dining room for full entrees. I feel burned -I have spent my last dollar at Mezzanotte.

I visited Cafe Mezzanotte not too long ago. The food was exceptionally good. This place gives you enough for maybe seconds or thirds the next day. Suggestion - As for a To Go Box right away. They provide this bread with oil and vinegar/tomato that had my wife and I asking for more. We sat in the Bar and Lounge area, but next time well try the dinner room area for that sexy and romantic evening. Ladies and Gentlemen, if you want it set-up right. You cant go wrong with Cafe Mezzanotte... Call ahead and make reservations because it will make it easier. My hat goes off to the bartender for making it such a special evening. Thanks!

My wife and I have been here quite a few times over the years. The food is very good and the service is wonderful. The facilities are also very nice and clean. Its a bit of a pain to get to if youre traveling north on Rt. 2, but thats no fault of the restaurant. You just have to make a U-turn. A minor inconvenience. As for the food, Ive never had a bad meal there or left hungry. My wife is a big fan of the gnocchi. Ive liked everything from the pasta dishes to the Italian staples (lasagna, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana). The food is a great value at what they charge. Its great for a date night.

The food was absolutely delicious, as well as authentic. However, my wifes entree was cold. The wait service was atrocious; our waiter who seemed to have been waiting on the entire restaurant was aloof and slightly rude. Our entire visit lasted approximately one and a half hours and our waiter spoke to us two times. Once when he took our order and once when I inquired about the dessert menu. The staff, especially our waiter was cold and distant. The nicest person in the restaurant was the Latin lady who was busing the tables. We will never return!

Cafe Mezzanote is our favorite restaurant for special occasions and celebrations. As usual, the food was delicious. Their menu is very creative, using locally sourced farm to table ingredients. While their prices are in the upper range for this area, the quality ingredients and fine preparation make the dining experience well worth the pricing. My wife requires a gluten free diet, and one of the main attractions for us is that they offer gluten free options for all their pasta dishes. We will be back!

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Waited forever, food was terrible, and service miserable. Spoke to the manager and he could have cared less. Other tables around me gad it even worse. I literally watched people walk out it was so bas. The restaurant use to be good, but has gone down hill fast. I tried to contact the owner after the meal and no response back. This place will be out of business soon.

A rare gem in the Annapolis area, a restaurant that makes delicious food and with ingredients sans chemicals and pesticides. I love Mezzanotte for the consistency in delicious food, quality, and great service. My only wish would be that they could open more restaurants one day and with more green space, which I know they also value. Hope their great efforts pay off well for them with continued support from our community.

Disappointed. We were seated immediately 7:30 on a Saturday evening, but waited forever for our main course. For the most part, 3 of the 4 meals ordered was good. What I dont understand is, how can an Italian restaurant miss the garlic in the marinara? The bland marinara made the chicken parm one the worst Ive had in years, with a $19 price tag. If you go, I suggest the Alfredo sauce, and the fresh fish of the day.
