Absolutely delicious! I forgot all about this place. Last time I was here was with my son when he was 12. That was 5 years ago. My wife and I were on our way to the Texas Roadhouse but they were way too busy and Outback up in Glen Burnie was packed as well and then I saw this place and I vaguely remembered coming here so we decided this was dinner for the night. I wish I had taken some pictures of the food. It was and I mean every single bite, absolutely delicious. My wife and I had ordered sushi 3 different rolls, some dumplings and I dont know what (I just pointed at a picture and said I want whatever that is). As always I had the best company anyone could ever want we just had a great time talking about our day, the good and bad of work oh and of course the house HVAC system dying today (14 years old) and what a nightmare of an expense thats going to be. But hey as I told her this too shall pass. We had probably the best dinner weve had out so far this year 2017 here at Szechuan Cafe. We dont normally drink if we are out and driving so all we had was water but they do have what looks like a well stocked bar. We just had ice water. The staff was very attentive and just great. The lady Elisa was fun to talk with and they all brought a great atmosphere to the dining experience. Yes I know some people wont agree but I say you have to be happy in your own skin to enjoy the smallest things around you. You can nit pick anything in the world but why do it if there is no real cause to do so. This little place is clean, friendly has awesome food is a little more expensive than some other places that have sushi but I can say that this place is worth the price. IMO I say if youve not been here plan on a dinner come here, take your time, talk with your companion (NO PHONES), talk with the staff and take your time eating your food.

We were seated immediately... that is pretty much the only thing that went right. Our waitress appeared to have smelled something out of a dumpster our entire meal in regards to the constant look she kept on her face as she visited our table only 3 times. We asked very nicely for them to split the check. We were then, 10 minutes after asking for the check, given a single check not split, It was exactly $13.50 a piece tabs for 4 people (Maki Combo 3 rolls).... Not rocket science to split. I then took the check up to the lady at the counter, who told me she was to busy to split checks... having only 4 tables that were seated at 12:30pm on a Wednesday, I thought this was comical. I then only tipped 4 dollars which was 10% due to the extremely arrogant and poor service at which point the lady literally asked me to pay more tip. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA RIGHT. Needless to say, I will never be back, I will never recommend this place to anyone, and it would take an entire management change for me to even use there business as a landmark to describe how to get to Olive and Sesame. In times like we are facing today, it doesnt pay to treat the customer like this. If I could, I would reduce this to negative 4 stars.

We eat sushi pretty often in Annapolis and decided to try something new. NOT WORTH IT! Just go to Annapolis, you cant go wrong with Joss, Tsunami, or Nano....they are ALL really good. Also, it is very overpriced. One of the rolls we had was 16.95. I dont mind paying this for good sushi, but that is not what we got. The volcano roll was absolutely awful. The fish tasted like it had gone bad...not to mention it was covered with 1/2 inch of mayo. When we tried to send it back, the waitor actually said to us, "Sorry, its one of our most popular rolls." We told him we wanted something else because we payed 12.95 for it and we werent going to eat it, and he said "Sorry its not my fault you dont like it, next time dont get it." I have never sent anything back before, but I know if you go to any nice restaurant, they will take it back so that the customer is happy. I have NEVER had customer service this bad in my life! Needless to say, we will not be returning.

I was his first customer and ever since I have been coming and I will not ever stop coming here.Everything is done perfect. The restaurant is extremely clean . The staff and servers are amazing . The owner is awesome and actually cares about your experience . This is my favorite restaurants of all time . I bring my wife here all the time. We have yet to have a bad experience, the owner comes out to greet us talks to us like were family. He is very much into word of mouth reputation. That is amazing . The owner Tim knows me and knows exactly what I expect from a dining establishment. He exceeds this expectation every time. And he comes out and does sake bombs with us whenever he isnt busy when we are here.

I love eating here! The staff is VERY friendly and since weve been coming almost on a daily basis for the past year weve become good friends with almost all of the staff! Sushi is impeccable! Although on weekends you can expect a wait for your sushi order since they only have two chefs going things can get backed up. I cant find anything like their maki-combo anywhere else and is a great value!(13.50 for any 3 basic rolls) Even their chef specials are fantastic and moderately priced (between $10-$15) My BF and I usually split a maki-combo and then get 2-3 chef specials each, our total is usually around $60 before tips.

I am not one to complain about food or service but need to share the bad experience we had at Szechuan Cafe. We had a order for eight that was not taken correctly. When we drove back to get the order correct we pointed out that they assumed we wanted sushi instead of the entree the manager and owner were beyond rude. They asked I guess for YOU were should have asked if you wanted something that was not on the menu." The conversation ended "with do you want the food or not." Decent food but HORRIBLE customer service and we will never go back and tell our friends to stay away. Hello Olive and Sesame!

I normally really like this place when we go for dinner or get dinner takeout. But we went for lunch yesterday and we were not impressed. My companion ordered a Philly Roll (sushi) and they couldnt make it because they were out of cream cheese. The restaurant is beside a large supermarket... How can they be out of cream cheese? The lunch menu is limited to about eight entrees - evidently items that they make in quantity. However, we didnt think the quality matched what we get there at dinner time. So ,while its place we normally really enjoy, we were under-impressed with our lunch.

I have eaten here several times and the food has been great, but I did order carry out on a Sunday around 4ish and it was over 30 minutes for 2 rolls of sushi. I was so upset that it took that long to just get 2 rolls of sushi. The restaurant was no where near packed, but there were plenty of take out customers, so they probably should have been staffed better for a weekend night. Overall the food was great many of the times we have eaten there. The fantastic roll was ok, not our fav, and probably wont be getting it again.
