I was expecting more based on the reviews. I was pretty disappointed. This isnt NY style pizza, crust is too thick. The cheese is low quality, hence why the cheese pizza is so oily. Speaking of cheese, way too much. So much it doesnt really chew, it forms a big clump. The sauce is fair, nothing spectacular. The saving grace is the blue cheese, absolutely amazing. Like too amazing.. Crust is good and as a major bonus, its pizza oven and not they conveyor belt pizza crap.

My first test was plain cheese pizza. I figure if you can impress me with just that, that says something. Anything they add to that should be fine! It passed all my pizza tests with flying colors. It folds just right, the crust is crisp with a good chew, and its thin without being a cracker. The sauce and cheese are perfect and the right amounts. The owner was very friendly! Im going back for the Sicilian next time! :)

Growing up all I knew was GREAT pizza. When I first moved to Pasadena I was overly saddened by the lack of good pizza.... until one day..... 1978 opened. I was thrilled for two reasons -- the owner is Italian and hes from N.J. The real deal! The pizza is some of the best Pizza Ive had--- including the 2 years I lived in NYC! Ive been eating here since they have opened and I have NEVER been disappointed

Please do not eat here. It will ruin every other pizza place around for you. This pizza is so good. The Grandma pizza, the specialty pizzas, the calzones, so so good. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the service good. They do not deliver, however you can place an order over the phone and it has always been ready when they say it will, usually 15-30 minutes, even on a game day.

They close at 11pm on Friday apparently. I get there at 1035 and ask to order a pepperoni pizza they tell they getting ready to close sorry. They try to offer me a veggie pizza that they had. Customer service is important these days but not to these guys I guess. I will never come back. Oh and I went to Szechuan cafe next door and got food which was very good.

The only NY style pizza I like better, and is 5 stars is Roccos in Glen Burnie. But if you are looking for an artisan pizza they have that, the atmosphere is nicer, they have a larger food selection. So I do occasionally eat here. Also the owner seems very nice, they have daily specials......so give it a try....youll enjoy!

This place is LEGIT. My wife and I are on a Ketogenic diet, so we dont do wheat, pasta, or carbs in general. Hell make a pizza bake for us in a baking dish with sauce, cheese, and all the toppings with no crust/dough. Its fantastic. The food is delicious and the staff is very accommodating.

It was just alright. Sauce was the highlight but there was so much cheese you could barely taste it. The crust at the start of the pizza was too thin and couldnt hold even just cheese. It was better towards the outside. Has potential...just ease up on the cheese.

Who ever heard not taking your name for pick up ? Giving you a number instead ??? I dont care how good the food is thats ridiculous ! What if I cant reach my wife after ordering ? She goes to pick up and doesnt know her number ? I wont be ordering there again !

The only thing better than their courteous friendly service is the food. So many times my wife and I passed by this place while shopping and viewed it as just another fast food type pizza place. Boy were we wrong this place is outstanding!!!

Great pizza. What tips this from a 4 to 5 star is the price. Monday get a large cheese pizza for 8.99 cant beat that. Garlic knots are great. Sauce has basil which kicks it up a notch. Not really anything to say bad about this place.

Seriously the best pizza in Pasadena if not the best in Anne Arundel County, hell maybe the best in Maryland -- even the world. Prices are really good, the staff is super nice, and its BYOB if you want to eat in and have a few.

Specials are resonable, pizza is fantastic...and they sell all sorts of pizza by the slice not just plain cheese. Staff and owner are pleasant and friendly. Already have been a repeat customer and will go back!
