Honestly, I dont understand how they have such a high rating. First, when we (my family and I) walked in, people just stared as if theyve never seen people of another ethnicity before. I am not racist but I sure as heck know when other people might be. The same thing happened a bit later when an African American family walked in. Now for the food....the food *insert laugh*. So far, the worst Ive ever had. The main courses we had of course had seafood- tasted as if the they had just come out of the bay/ocean. The sides- mashed potatoes and some sort of yellow rice- were definitely from a box. I mean you could practically taste the card board. Their "famous crabcake" was the only decent thing but just barely. And another thing, the food was pretty much cold as if it was already plated and waiting which doesnt make any sense because most people already had their food. The staff seemed slightly rude but our waitress seemed to warm up to us AFTER she heard me sing an old song from the 50s. This outing was for my Fathers birthday and I know he was disapponted, as we all were. Overall the food does not live up to the hype, the prices would have made sense if the food were any good, and needless to say, we wont be going back. But, to each their own.

Strictly diner food with white table cloths and dressy wait staff. Crab meat from a can, grizzle on the steaks. Overpriced, and lot of senior citizens. One of them raved about the place and I felt sorry for them. Maybe they got a deep discount, or perhaps they just lost their taste buds. I gave it more than one shot, but 3 times a bad meal will keep me from being a glutton for punishment. I see the good reviews come from Greek sounding names. I am suspicious because this restaurant has a Greek owner (who is very nice, truly) with a very big family. Maybe he needs to eat the food he serving? I am with the reviews who say they do do not understand why it gets a high rating. I do not get it either. Maybe you can buy good reviews if you are are well connected? This is why I like the Google reviews. Sure you can have your friends and family go in and say nice things, but at least you can also see some more truthful ones.

Came in on a Fri at noon over Labor Day weekend, lunch out with a bride-to-be. Place was empty. Had a larger party, but half was children. An hour and a half later, the childrens pizza and chicken fingers came out. Still no adult food. No one came to talk to us. The owner was in the restaurant. After getting up and leaving with no food, still nothing from the owner, manager or waitress. A drink was knocked over during the 1 1/2 hrs, no refill offered, the busboy had to be summoned to help clean it up. No refills during our entire wait. Absolute horrendous service. Owner should have done right and comped the tab. Thankfully my mom was paying or I would have walked out. I cannot describe how disappointed we were. The best part were the children who were gems the entire time. I wished they were a little more ornery, maybe we would have been served!

My husband and I had my sister in-laws and brothers wedding shower at By The Docks Restaurant and it was FABULOUS. The food was great and very delicious to the taste. The Guests were so satisfied and had such a great time, they were very thankful with gratitude to be a part of the event. The waitresses and waiters were very attentive and helpful with setting up the event, bringing the drinks, taking the orders, bringing the food, and eager to help in any way they could to make the wedding shower a great success. I would highly recommend By The Docks Restaurant for any event or occasion that you may have. You will not be disappointed with the food or the service. We give By The Docks Restaurant a two thumbs up and Three out of Three stars. We want to say Thank You to the owner and the staff for helping to make our event a memorable one.

Stopped in to have Breakfast from there breakfast brunch buffet. First of all I have to say that the restaurant is lovely. Know to the food. The Food was uncovered and cold. The web site boosts all these different types of foods and meats. There was no grits, oatmeal or even omletes. However, if it was something I wanted there was no information stating that I could ask for it. The scrammbled eggs were getting old and dry. The bacon was half cooked and cold. The french toast were old soggy and just way to sweet. The biscuits for the gravy were just sitting out in a basket and hard as a rock. The Seafood Ravioli with sauce was actually cheese ravioli with over cooked shrimp and scallops in a rather good sauce. On a whole I will not be coming back for brunch at By The Docks Again.

I am so disappointed and baffled by the customer service at this restaurant. I planned a birthday party dinner several weeks before the event. They were supposed to contact me a couple days in advance of the event but never did. I had to contact them. On the day of the event they were completely unprepared for our group but we still gave them a hefty tip because we felt bad for the server. After the event I sent them an email specifically directed at the manager concerning the service. There was no response. I followed up and still there has been no response. I find this to be incredibly rude. The food was great, but I wont go back there. I will also share my experience there with my friends and family.

One hell of an experience ... our server Jade tried to get over on us by holding on to 40$ that someone who came with me gave her for their bill (they left for an emergency) and didnt tell us when the bill came out that she had the money. Then requested to speak to the manager..... who was very rude and nonchalant... to get our bill reprinted minus the items that were already paid for btw they made it a big deal to get a new bill. We managed to get things squared away with our other server Katie who was awesome. Cant give 1 star because food was good and our service in the beginning was good but they dont handle parties well. We spent over 600$ at this restaurant and it no way i should have had a hard time there !

Since the change in ownership, the entire place has gone donwhill. Service is pretty bad, the crab cakes, which was the only reason to really go, have been replaced with filler and lower quality, sure there are a few piece of lump meat, but so does everyone else. It looks like stuffing in the middle of it. Very disappointed. They even increased the price for an inferior product. Give it back to the old owners, let them engaged in illegal immigration and human trafficking and lets get a decent product back in the place. For now head across the street to the landing strip...its a hole in the wall, but the crab cake kicks this places butt!
