Wow, this place was great... Up until the end when one of your bartenders (who was on the customer side of the bar) kind of ruined it for me and my coworker. We were talking with a local for the last hour of the night, at the bar, about things to do in the area because we are new. It was a few minutes past closing (sorry to extend our stay) and out of nowhere, one of your bartenders decided it was time for us to leave because she was sick of us and the company we work for. She was drinking... Maybe that had something to do with it; however, it put a bad taste in our mouth. We werent bothering anyone, we tipped well, and were just talking to a local/ regular (Cameron) about things to do in the DC area and one of the bartenders decided to talk negatively to us just because we worked for a certain company and said its time for us go because shes sick of us and seeing our company around the area... pretty aggressively. I dont know... The beer was ok... The imperial IPA was my favorite and we had a good time up until that point. I dont know what we did to make this off duty bartender mad but its not going to stop us from coming back for good beer. Sucks I have to leave a bad review. Beer was great, service was questionable....

I can only comment on the atmosphere, location, and ambiance of this establishment as I do not care for craft beer nor am I ashamed of it - though I receive quite a bit of grief for it. This brewery is established and has beer brewed on the premises. I dont particularly care for it but it seems that the patrons enjoy it so thats what matters, right? But lets be real, not everyone likes the beers offered. The ambiance is sort of nice. Theres a section of couches and coffee tables to the left as well as a bar area centered toward the back and some high tables with tall chars just to the right when you walk in. The bathrooms tended to be well-kept and clean (at least the mens). Theyve had a food truck every time Ive been there. Ive only been here because my company had a recruitment and office Happy Hour here. I wasnt very "happy" though because I dont care for the beer. None of it. The only thing Id want to drink there is water. The location is fairly easy to get to and there is usually ample parking. Id definitely recommend this spot for folks whom want to try out new beers but if youre looking for domestics or non-craft beers, head to a different bar. In fact, you can just follow me there! :) Cheers!

I went around when they first opened and was hardly impressed. Some of their beers were outright bad while their best ones were drinkable, but not much more. I tried two flights of beer and could not finish half of them as I considered them undrinkable and disgusting. Prior to this experience I had never had a problem finishing a beer because of flavor, despite trying hundreds (if not over 1,000) of different beers. There was a food truck in the parking lot serving decent food but thats pretty standard fare for a brewery these days. Since Ive only been once I cant discount the possibility that theyre improved their processes and the beer is subsequently better. But Im not exactly clamoring to go back.

Went here on opening night (4-26-14) and it was great! Theyve got an interesting atmosphere (high, black painted ceilings with rustic seating), a cool lounge area, huge bar, and best of all, all their brewery drinks right there on tap. One whole wall is a giant window looking in at the brewery operation. Food is provided by whatever food trucks are scheduled for the day, and you can bring that food back in to your table. No wait staff, just bartenders, beers, a rather imposing looking bouncer, and no BS. Definitely planning to go back.

Ive been back about 5 times and love it every time! The first time we were there, my friends and I hosted a surprise 30th birthday party and the staff was so accommodating about reserving tables for us and helping us set up food for our group in the corner of the taproom. I also got to enjoy the most recent Ugly Sweater Party, which was a lot of fun. We all enjoyed the live music by Loose Ties and every time I go back to Jailbreak I appreciate the staff, the selection, and the great variety of food trucks that come by the brewery!

I really love this place! They have a great selection of brews and they offer flights. You get 4 choices for your flight, and they are pretty nice sized glasses. You can also get growlers to take home. They didnt serve food, but there was a food truck out front with awesome NY style pizza - a perfect pair with the beer. Our favorite beer was the Welcome to Scoville Jalapeño IPA, but all of the brews we tried were pretty good.

Not sure why this place is so highly rated. Came here on a Friday night and the bartender was a dick. Acted like we inconvenienced him for asking for a beer. Double IPA was good, but not good enough to save this place. Q.Cumber beer & Carrot Cake Amber (ordered by our group) was some of the worst beers Ive ever had. If you like their beer, buy it from the store. This place aint worth a visit.

Decent well-priced beers in a cavernous beer hall. Friendly and knowledgeable staff were willing to offer selections if asked. Even when busy someone quickly took my order. No food on site and there are generally food trucks there (you can also bring in your own food too). A bit further out than i normally am, but if i was in North Laurel or Columbia for something id recommend stopping in

A nice cross section of craft beers for all tastes - no matter what your preference you will find something that you enjoy. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was nice (much more subdued than most traditional bars). My one recommendation, with no food service Id suggest offering free all you can eat popcorn and I would have had more beer (a win for everyone :).

Excellent atmosphere, knowledgable staff, and wonderful community member. Weekly events with trivia, music, and tech talks. Also, did I mention the beer? Fantastic. In fact, their Cafe Kavorka Porter with Cherries is one of the best stouts Ive ever had. And Ive had loads of beer. This is a must-visit brewery in Howard County.

This is a really great and unique bar. They also host a lot of great events, like a fund raiser for Ellicott City. Their beers are hit or miss, but thats true of any brewery. No food is served here, so bring your own or get some from the rotating selection of great food trucks that are always just outside.

Have been a few times. The tasting room is large and well furnished with tables, couches, bar seating. Even a few TVs and jukebox. Can get crowded during primetime, and the only food comes from food trucks, but Jaikbreaks website has the schedule Good rotating beer selection, and growlers filled.

Great tasting room for a fun brewery. Good selection of their beers with an occasional very interesting experimental cask beer available. They usually have great food trucks out front and dogs are welcome in the tasting room which makes it even better. Highly recommended.
