In my search for some good BBQ in Southern Maryland, this deserves a place near the top. It’s a really tiny looking building, with only about 4 tables and just enough room to get and sit down at them. The menu is pretty large, but I came for a pulled pork bbq sandwich so that’s what I ordered. The sandwich was surprisingly large with lots of bbq, and topped with coleslaw and a little sauce. The sandwich tasted great, though it could have used more sauce, and the slaw paired with it perfectly. They had a special that day of fried pickles, so I had to get some to compare to what I’ve had back home. The lady behind the counter gave a look when I ordered them and said she doesn’t like making them (why put it as a special then?). They pickles were the chips (best way to have them) and not spears, and came with a ranch style dipping sauce. I’d give it 3 out of 5. I do want to come back and try the ribs to get a full bbq experience and rating. I saw that they also serve the whole hog, which I’m curious about and will ask next time. I recommend coming out to try this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Sandwiches were large and pretty tasty. The pulled chicken BBQ wasnt dry and the pork BBQ was cooked well too. Both needed more sauce, but that was easily obtained. The mac & cheese was peppery and pretty tasty, but the hush puppies were a bit of a disappointment. They were over-done on the outside, but mushy on the inside, and they were too sweet for my taste.

Im on the fence about the place, the food is good, but my order gets messed up every time I go there, and I always get the same thing, bbq fries with cheese. Its always something wrong, undercooked fries, no cheese (even though I was charged for it), Ill give it another chance, but I have my doubts

Between 4 of us, we ordered several kinds of BBQ and sides. All of it was delicious, except the pasta salad which was just ok. The BBQ beef sandwich and fried pickles were really excellent. Large portions for a good price, friendly service.

Love this place! Just good down home eating like going to grandmas on Sunday. Were talking BBQ pork, chicken, ribs, fried catfish, homemade sides such as collards, baked beans, cornbread and hush puppies!

We had never been here before but we like supporting local businesses. The employee was very polite and patient. The chili and hush puppies are homemade and yummy!

Hole in the wall place. They have good sandwiches and other home cooked type of foods. Like a mom and pops place.
