Vitos is doing a hopping business, in part because its BYOB and in part because the food is a reflection of the excellent cuisine that used to be on offer at Boccaccios. For a special event, we arrived last Saturday for our 7:30 reservation made a week in advance. The chilly, chairless center area was crammed. The cavalier hostess told us that there were four tables ahead of us. Those four were actually seven; I counted. We stood for 50 minutes. "We always overbook on weekends," she announced. Once seated, the young waiter was agreeable and unassuming. The appetizers were appealing in a traditional Italian way, but nothing out of the ordinary. We had three veal dishes, of which mine, Francese, was soggy and swimming in an oily sauce. One of our party had Zuppa di Pesce, and he raved over that, evidently the most successful dish. For a side, a bowl of regular spaghetti with a slop of marinara on it, whether or not that complimented the dish. In my case, it did not. The desserts were not homemade, I think, but acceptable. Had the food been from heaven (for a dinner that certainly cost $200 or more with us bringing our own wine), the egregious reception and the 50 minute stand before being seated killed it for me. By the time 9:00 arrived, the place was dead. The management, if there is any, doesnt seem to understand the concept of a reservation. Vito reputedly was sous-chef at Boccaccio, but thinking of the beautiful service and elevated food served there, he did not pay much attention. Rather, they were greedy for what business they could get, and they were getting a lot. They wont, however, be getting mine again.

I was between LIKE & LOVE. Every time I go here, I have a wonderful meal. The seafood has always been fresh and doesnt taste over-seasoned, like many other restaurants do with salt & garlic. This food is always piping hot and delicious. I love that it is BYOB, as it makes it more of "during the week" spot. Appetizers are always delicious including the charcuterie plates. My husband and I feel very comfortable here but a word to the wise - try going during the week instead of a busy weekend, as the place isnt that big. Yes, I have tried to go here without a reservation and was turned away because it was too busy, but so what - they are doing good business on some nights. As for one of the reviewers that gave it a terrible rating...I seriously question the validity of your review as you gave Hightopps a better rating and their food isnt good at all. Hightopps can be a fun bar but their food is sub-par. Vitos has a wonderful niche in the county and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Thanks Vitos!

The Cioppino was absolutely perfect! Made with Rockfish and the other frutti de mare, the entire blend of sauce, spices and ingredients were a veritable Cornucopia of deliciousness! The home made Tiramisu was the lightest and most delicious I have ever eaten. The coffee was fresh and not acidic adding another level to the dessert and the meal. Billys service was right on the money. Totally professional and respectful. This was our first trip to Vitos, but it wont be our last. If you want a FABULOUS meal come to Vitos.

I grew up in northern Italy and have rarely had pizza or tiramisu outside of Italy that brings me back to growing up. The brick oven pizza is amazing and the tiramisu is not too sweet like it is most places that try to make it from scratch. Believe it or not, the cannoli are even better than the tiramisu--crunchy shell and amazingly creamy chocolate chip cream inside. You can not order a bad dish here, and there truly is a Vito, and a Tony making the pizzas!

Fantastic experience. Everything is just marvelous. My wife and I brought her cousin to have lunch here, she has celiac disease and the chef made a special platter with special sauce just for her. The calamari and pasta are outstanding. I will be common back here for my birthday. We love this place. Thank you chef Luca and staff for such a wonderful dining experience. Professionalism and amazing cuisine at its finest.

The late lunch we had today was excellent in every respect: appetizers, entrees, desserts, the wine and cappuccinos; all made more delicious by the gracious service of Ali. In fact, we have never had less than a great meal at Vitos. This restaurant, tucked into an unassuming little plaza on York Road, is a great find!

Vitos is good - and consistent. Only reason I didnt give it full stars is because they have a lot of hidden or add-on fees that borders ridiculous sometimes. The food is not phenomenal - decent and consistent, but things like $10 for them to uncork the bottle of wine you brought to the restaurant is dumb.

Wait staff(Rachel) made my family feel very uncomfortable. From the name, description and photo it appears to be a relaxed atmosphere, not the case. I would not recommend this place to anyone who likes to be treated like a valued customer.

Great food, excellent service, like an actual European restaurant. BYOB is welcome and reasonably priced but their wines are good as well. They take care of our family every time we visit. This is a great unexpected find in Baltimore County

Food is usually exceptional but owner was not very responsive the time we did get a crab dish full of shells. That was very disappointing as we go there a lot.

Made reservations for lunch and it probably wasnt necessary as there were only 2 small parties there when we arrived. Food was good, service was okay.

Pizza was really good, everything else was okay. Minimal beer selection but they seem to have a decent wine list.
