Best pizza hands down in Frederick. Comes with the WORST bartenders in Frederick. Always 15 minutes for them to "notice" youre there. Another 10 to get a drink. They ignore the servers too - so dont think that sitting at a table will help. Bartenders disappear and on on their phones ALL THE TIME. so while you are waiting for food (the ONLY reason to be there) you get thirsty because you cant get a refill. Then last night - ordered a pizza and a crab pretzel and the pizza came out but not the pretzel (bartender nowhere in sight, the other one on his phone). then a server annouces to the bar "did any of you idiots order a pretzel"... Really? Idiots? Being called an idiot was the last straw for this place on top of the DREADFUL service every other time (except for one tall guy who wears glasses - I wish I knew his schedule. I would go back if I knew he would be my bartender). Anyways, such a shame that this place does not care AT ALL about the service they give to the people who keep them in business.

We stopped at Il Forno for dinner on our way home from a camping trip. The pizza was excellent, as was their "garlic bread" (more like a white pizza). The patio was comfortable in the early evening, and so much better than going into an air-conditioned restaurant would have been. All of the above would have made us ready to eat there again. About a half-hour down the road, my daughters friend realized she had left her cell phone at the restaurant. It was getting late for a school night, and I really didnt want to drive an extra 60 miles (round-trip) with our camper. My wife called the restaurant. They found the phone and agreed to mail it to us, declining any offer of payment for postage and their trouble. The phone duly arrived a couple of days later. I know where Im eating the next time Im in Frederick!

The food was absolutely horrible. Shrimp Scampi means a portion of the recipe requires garlic, not a drowning in butter. In addition, the chicken parmigian on the bed spaghetti was so dry, I could have used the chicken to sand down doors. We didnt finish the meals because frankly it would have been a waste of calories. Our waitress was fab, but we feel sorry for her that she has to serve this slob camouflaging as Italian food. Italian food starts with a good red sauce, not just an Italian name on the front door. A horrible, horrible...oh did I say a horrible experience. Unless you are really pining for a slice of pizza take a shot. However, even that, I would say buyer beware....you have been warned.......

Saturday night was a zoo, as expected. There is no private parking so cross your fingers. I had the shrimp and scallops which were in a creamy mushroom sauce served over linguini and it was very flavorful and a large portion for the price. My husband got the clams served over linguini with a butter sauce and they were bland and disappointing. The chocolate mousse cake was delicious, similar to a chocolate cheese cake. The cream of crab bisque was good for a cream of crab soup but not as good as I would expect from a bisque. Overall, it was clean and we would go back again.

Its okay. Prices arent great and the pizza is just above dominoes/pizza hut. Sandwiches are nothing to write home about, but the calamari and soups arent half bad. Would have given more stars, but Ive ordered delivery 3 times now and the staff seems to think that answering the phone/taking delivery orders isnt part of their job. Plus always taking an hour and a half to deliver food 2 minutes down the street is a little ridiculous. $25 dollar minimum on delivery orders is kinda inconvenient too.

Been coming here for years. Recently service has been poor. Picked up 2 pizzas and drove 25 minutes home. Opened up the boxes and both burnt and black. This is 2nd it happened. Call and spoke with a female who didnt say sorry for serving this and didnt offer any resolution. I told her I guess Ill post on yelp. She replied good and hung up. So here it is....my 1st review ever posted on yelp. Ill also post the photos of the blacked burnt nasty food your so graciously served us.

Gave them a low review due to customer service. I enjoy their pizza and have not had one I did not like. They messed up my order though and when I called them back the person on the phone said they were sorry but I should have checked and hung up. Issue with that is I did not pick up the pizza and the person who did did not realize it was wrong. It is an honest mistake from both parties but I felt that was handled poorly.

Ive had authentic pizza in Italy and Croatia, and nothing comes close except Il Forno. My family and I regularly travel from Martinsburg, WV just to eat here. Compared to all other pizza Ive ever eaten in the US, this is by far the best. The atmosphere is very casual and there are no frills - dont expect a classy dining experience - just expect great pizza. Sometimes the best food comes from places like these.

Meh, I went a while ago, late night on a Friday and Ive never been back since. The entire place seemed dirty, the pizza was decent but not as good as the reviews reflect. Maybe my expectations were to high but overall I was unimpressed. The only reason Im writing is because I clicked on top restaurants in frederick and this came up as #1 maybe Im missing something.

I love their Old Bay wings and pizza -- my favs are Pizza Bianca, Four Cheese and Cold Cut. Their funnel cake fries are delicious and a really fun "dessert date" option. Ive come to this restaurant many times and have always had great service. Dave went above and beyond tonight to accommodate a special request. Great spot in Frederick - were glad we live nearby!

Best wait staff around AND the best pizza in Frederick!! Trust me!!! Red..As for the 1 Star comment...Ive been coming here for 7 months...and even on crowded nights (every night) I get treated like no other...service is outstanding..I couldnt even get a seat and my drink was there!! If they dont notice, say something!!! Red...again, one of my favorites :)

Location is so-so. Its in shopping plaza. Decent parking. Pizza is great. Best non-chain pizza in Frederick. Cannoli is very sweet. Still good though. The restaurants interior is nothing fancy. And it shouldnt be. Its a typical pizzeria design. Service has been excellent the times I went. Pricing isnt bad. Expect to spend probably between $15-20 here.

We order from Il Forno weekly. But weve noticed the quality drop over the past few weeks. We get the same order, pizza and wings. Last night the wings tasted like fish. The pizza was burnt on one side, completely inedible. For what we paid (almost $40 for a pizza and wings), youd think they would pay more attention to the quality.

The only place my family orders pizza from in Frederick. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ilfornos carry out service is always punctual and we havent had any mistakes so far. However, I mostly eat at the bar. Their beer selection is always being updated with cool craft beers as well as all the classics.

Worst Pizza place i ever been to... i ordered a pizza and order of wings. when it was delivered my pizza cheese was soo hard and wings were sticking together. i called the store and asked for fresh food and the guy was rude and did not want to help me on this matter.. no one order from here ever
