This is going to get a bit long winded, but its really for the best because I know they can do better. Ive been living in NOVA for over 10 years and this place was once the pinnacle of pizza and cafe Italian within 10 miles or so. However, with the uprising of restaurants in the Gainesville area, they have only fallen. Their pizza which was once phenomenal, has slipped terribly. They seem to skimp on toppings and the sauce is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Pasta here is frozen for what tastes like weeks before being heated up. Their subs, specifically their named option "Mama Mias Steak and Cheese" just isnt up to the standard that it once was. The meat is dry and not fresh in the slightest. Im not terribly sure what has happened in the past few years, but this place has fallen. I went so often in the past that I had to give it a few more tries before laying this review out, but after my last visit I couldnt stomach it anymore. My last meal there was the manicotti and I physically could not finish the meal, it is unquestionably the worst italian dish I have ever had. It was not a fluke either, because the lasagna a coworker had a few months back was equally unflattering, but at least edible. Side note, their red sauce has way too much sugar. Please, get it together. Stop cutting costs or whatever you are doing and go back to being the place I would recommend to anyone who asked where there was good pizza in the area. Remove pasta from your menu if you are not going to do it justice. There is nothing wrong with being a sandwich and pizza place. To those looking for great alternatives, Bricks in Centreville has the best pizza in the area. Ciaos has the best overall experience. Its an additional 10 minute drive or so, but worth it.

My husband is a truck driver and we occasionally deliver to a business nearby. It was late and we were hungry so we called a few places around. A lot of them were closed some did not take credit cards and the others did not deliver. We called Mama Mia pizza and they were very friendly and said they could deliver and they accepted credit cards. we placed an order and our pizza was delivered hot and fresh rather quickly. we did order pineapple on our pizza which sometimes can be tricky since it is not a commonly used item. often you will receive something that is sour or less than fresh. Mama Mias pineapple was delicious. There was no shortage of cheese on our pizza and the crust was perfect. Overall the pizza could use a little seasoning but otherwise a perfect experience and hopefully we will get to order from here again in the future. Thanks for the delicious meal and take care.

Ordered Philly cheesesteak with fries. It was probably the worst cheesesteak Ive had at a restaurant. The meat tasted like the frozen beef you can get at the store (steak-umms), and the service was very poor - waitress was unsociable, never asked how our meal was, forgot the drink, and never came back to our table until, after waiting 10 minutes, we got up and went to another worker to get our check. Giving it two stars because, granted, I didnt try their pizza, and this is a pizza place. Also, it seemed pretty clean.

Always good, never a bad meal or service. Friendly people and atmosphere. Just a great little pizza place...pizza and sandwiches are great, the wings are fantastic...and as silly as it may sound, they have the best ice for their soft drinks! Its sort of nice that its off-the-beaten-path...

I love Mama Mia!! The food is so great and the staff is so kind. We love it so much that we go every Friday night. As soon as we walk in the door our waiter, Fati, is there with our regular drinks! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Wow really tasty pizza! Called an order in. The lady taking the call was helpful and friendly. She quickly took answered my questions and took my order. My Greek salad and pizza was ready when I arrived. Everyone was very friendly.
