Trattoria Amore is one of a group (not really a chain, per se) of Italian eateries in Howard County. It is owned by two brothers who grew up as sons of a baker in Naples, Italy. I live in this neighborhood, and am very grateful to have this as my go-to for good pizza. Its legit, Brooklyn-quality pizza — the best in the county, IMO. They have daily lunch specials, too. The other food is very good, and done at reasonable prices. Of note: their spaghetti carbonara is fantastic. But the staple here is pizza. (And you can get a large cheese for $7 on Monday nights — a steal, but youll wait in line a bit if you didnt call it in first.) Being run by Italians, this is also a hub for soccer in the area (we are a huge soccer town) so there is always a match playing on the TV here. And it is the place to be during World Cup — *especially* if Italy is playing! Great food, atmosphere, and people. I cant recommend it enough.

It wasnt the food that was bad, it was the service. When we walked in to order, we were immediately greeted with a bad attitude. The gentlemen at the counter asked us "what do we want?" and when we ordered two cheesesteaks, he said "you want a tube steak?" and starting laughing in our face. NEVER been treated with such disrespect in a food establishment. When our food arrived it was completely wrong, and all we wondered was "why?" what the heck was wrong with these people to so blatantly disrespect us to our face. We had our four year old son with us too. We ended not even eating the food because we thought they did something to it. Terrible people and we will NEVER return.

I dont know whos writing these reviews, but theyre either being paid to write them, or theyve never left Ellicott City. Ever see those review where the person blasts the restaurant and you wonder what happened to make them write such a bad review? Thats what happened today. We ordered a slice of cheese pizza, chicken Parmesan, and pesto gnocchi. The pizza was salty, and the entrees were MICROWAVED. You could tell by the hard edges and soft center of the chicken. If you want microwaved food, go to the Giant in the same shopping center and get some California Pizza Kitchen. That stuff is way better than anything at this place.

Pizza is pre-made and sits on the counter to be re-heated by the slice when ordered. Salads are good. Subs are made to order as long as you order them their way. Whether you ask for lite onion or extra lettuce, the subs are made the same way. This is done to keep it simple for the kitchen and to keep the production line moving. The owner is arrogant and rude. Always smiling but never going to “customize” your sub. Stopped dining here. Plenty of better lunch options close by in Columbia and Ellicott City.

BEST pizza around. I come here all the time with friends and family and we always love it, they have the kindest staff. I have had a variety of pizzas from here but my favorite is the buffalo chicken it is AMAZING. They always play Italian songs and it just adds to the cozy atmosphere. If you are looking for reasonably priced Italian food and a family friendly environment this is your new favorite place to eat.

Got the gnocchi al pesto. Literally the worst pasta Ive ever had in my life. The sauce was congealed and had no taste (and basically no basil - mostly weirdly textured oil and some sort of dairy add in) and the gnocchi was rubbery. Its possible their pizza is good because the place was pretty full for 1:30p on a weekday, but personally I am never going there again.

SOUL FOOD. Amazing! Best Italian food in town. This is a mom n pop place, as authentic as it gets. If you want ambience and decor go someplace else, but if you want genuine awesome Italian food for the soul, try it here. My favorite is the Chicken Sorrento.

Very good new york style pizza and other italian items. I have only had the pizza and cheesesteaks from here and both are very good. The prices are good and its a general casual place to grab some food. You will not be sorry getting something from here.

My son got a great piece of pizza (that they asked if they could cut into smaller slices for smaller hands, big help) and I got an amazing piece of grilled salmon over a very fresh salsd. All for a very reasonable price and very nice service.

My daughter and I eat here very regularly. They have the best red sauce Ive ever had in any Italian restaurant and thats no exaggeration. Highly recommend Trattoria Amore, especially over the chain Italian restaurants.

Great local Italian restaurant with a wide variety on the menu that doesnt equate to lack in quality. There are occasional situations where orders are wrong or pizzas a little overdone but overall great place.

Some of the best pizza in Columbia! Tasty sauce, the right amount of cheese, and a good crisp crust. Highly recommend this over chain pizza. Also, Mondays is $7 (large/cheese) takeout night!

Love their pizza! Called them yesterday to order 25 pizzas for a neighborhood party. They were ready right at the established pick-up time and everyone at the party loved the pizza too!

Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The pizza is actually the least expensive Ive had in years and its also pretty much the best. You cant beat this place.

A good number of our Friday night movie nights are catered by Trattoria Amore. Great cheese pizza and pasta combos, feeds a family of five on the cheap. Yum.

Best NY style pizza in Maryland. So yummy, I could eat the whole pie myself. The spaghetti and meatballs are also very good. Service is excellent.

Very nice, the food there is awesome. We usually get plain cheese, but the pepperoni is heaven too. Definitely recommend going to this place!

Dont bother. Canned sauce, deli ham claiming to be prosciutto, limp and chewy veal. The indifferent staff is just a bonus.
