I dont speak from one so-so experience. I speak from literally HUNDREDS of great experiences. I used to work in the same shopping center and would go there nearly every day. My family and I still go there on a regular basis. That includes birthdays, etc. The man who owns this small chain Gianni, and his manager Roberto, are fantastic. The food is very good, traditional Italian from the old country. It is consistantly served hot and with a sense of pride. I prefer the subs (GREAT ITALIAN COLD CUT!) and the Spaghetti w/Meatballs. You can get pizza by the slice and wine by the glass in addition to Italian dishes and subs. I have NEVER been disappointed with my food or the quality of service. They are all a little shy, until you get to know them, but are very eager to please and take alot of pride in their work. If you are looking for a good meal, especially if you want to take the family out for an informal dinner that is a good value AND has a family atmosphere, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place which we simply call, THE ITALIAN PLACE. Located in the Kings Contrivance Village Center near Harris Teeter. Enjoy! Michael

The man was rude on the phone when I asked if they had any specials. He asked me if I "wanted something for free." I simply asked if they had a pick up deal for pizza. As I arrived no one was at the counter but other employees were in the back working. A man popped from around the corner and said "YES?" I explained that Im here to pick up two pizzas and explained my order. They dont take your name or number but tell you how long and hang up on you. I had to call back because I wasnt done the order. The pizza was soggy and the toppings were thrown on after the pizza came out of the oven. They literally fell off the pizza. It wasnt good and we wont be going back. I gave two stars because the restaurant was clean in the pick up area, if not it would have received one.

I happened upon this fantastic pizzeria and was happy to hear shouting of our order in Italian and seeing the dough made from scratch. The toppings selection was decent, feta, artichoke, roasted peppers, etc., not sure if they offer roasted garlic. The pizza arrived with a perfectly crisp crust and was not too thin which paired nicely with a glass of their chianti. Service was attentive and this family of five ate (almost every bite) for $30 with tip. In the end the owner took my 2yo ds for a tour of the kitchen. Great place!

Called to get delivery becuase of the great reviews, I was directed to a website (no option to order over phone). The website was intuitive, however it seemed to "nickle and dime" as the process went forward. For example; Minimum order price 3.5% additional for delivery. $5+ delivery charge. Long story short, there was so much difficulty and additional charges that after tipping a driver $21 worth of food would have been well over $45 from my understanding. The food must be very impressive, sorry I didnt get to that point.

The service at this restaurant is terrible... try calling in for a carry out order and you will get the rudest people you have ever met... mention this isue to management and their response is oh well go some where else... Ill take you up on your suggestion... I wont ever eat here again... and will do my damnest to tell others to do the same... PS. your food aint that good anyway!!!

The pizza is very good. The service is very bad. We order from them a couple times a month. They frequently get orders wrong. They generally seem annoyed to be talking to us. During the last order I made, the guy said "Whats the next pizza, come on, come on," when I paused in my order, and hung up before I could ask him to repeat the order back to me to try to avoid mistakes.

Trattoria E Pizzeria does it right!.. Nice chewy crust not loaded down with gobs of wet sauce and just the right amount of cheese and toppings.... excellent! Who needs delivery when this is worth the trip. Salads and calzones are also very good...and guess what? The place is run my real Italians...imagine that! a treasure in Kings Contrivance gets both my thumbs up! DC

Rating is based on the pizza, I havent tried anything else. This is the closest that I have found to NY style pizza in the area. They have regular and Sicilian style pies. Everything has been very good. Its not a fancy place so decor rates low, but its fine for a quick meal.

They have excellent pasta (no really!). Fresh pizza is good. Avoid the pre cooked food and pizza by the slice. This is a carryout establishment with a few indoor tables. There is a nice courtyard outside with a few tables. Most of the employees speak little English.

Not that great. My wifes calzone arrived cold. We asked them to warm it up, so they microwaved it. My veal was acceptable, but wasnt anything you couldnt get anywhere else. This place isnt worth going out of your way for.

Visited here on the recommendation of a co-worker. Pizza is pretty good and the price is unbeatable for pizza by-the-slice in this area. Con: AC does not appear to be functional during the height of Summer heat.

This is my all-time favorite place for pizza in Columbia. Comes very close to New York style pizza which I love. I just wish the slices were little bigger. They always make me feel like family I love the service.

When you are new to an area, the first thing you have to do is find a good pizza place. Luckily for us, it didnt take us long to find Trattoria. Their NY style pizza is simply the best in the area.

This place would get a 5 however the first time I went everything was horrible. My assumption is do not go before close and only go during busy hours.

Growing up in New York Ive tasted the best pizzas around. Trattoria makes me feel like Im in a pizza shop back in Brooklyn New York. Excellent taste.

Best NY style pizza in Cilumbia. Anyone who says it isnt, is lying to you. Thin crust stays crispy and toppings are minimal keeping it light.

This review is based solely on the pizza. It is some of the best in the area, especially if youre from the NY/NJ area.
