This was a terrible lunch experience. I went to the restaurant for lunch because I was getting my car repaired nearby. I ordered 3 Taco lunch special which I thought was $9.25. Expensive I thought but maybe worth it... how wrong I was. The guy behind the counter brings me a half full basket of stale chips and really bad watery salsa. Then comes my tacos..... I thought they would be huge for the price but they were average in size and tasted very ordinary. Not good and not bad. I was feeling ripped off and still very hungry, so I asked for more chips and salsa. MISTAKE.... I got another half basket and half a crock of watery salsa. At this point Im thinking I need to get out of here and Im never coming back so I go to pay and find out they upcharged my tacos 50 cents because they had taco meat and they charged me $2.00 for the horrible chips. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF AND THE FOOD SUCKS! How they think they can get top dollar for terrible food out of a grease hole in the wall is beyond me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Cuando abrieron originalmente este lugar era espectacular con comidas muy caseras y auténticas. Algo debe haber pasado o cambiaron al chef o algo porque la comida de golpe no es igual, las tortillas no son más caseras y hechas a mano, son compradas de las que vienen en bolsa. Se convirtió en otro restaurante mexicano común y corriente sin nada espectacular que ofrecer o diferente o auténtico.

FINALLY! This area has been devoid of authentic Mexican food since I moved here in 2005. Tacos Tijuana is authentic, with guacamole for their nachos, spicy salsa, and even nopales as a side! Although theres no sign saying "Seat yourselves," I think that is the intent. The waitress and cooks were friendly and the prices were reasonable. I forgot to try the horchata, but will definitely do so next time I go in. Highly recommended!

If i could give this place no stars I would. Looking at recent reviews pretty much sums it up.. Place is dead and looks deserted... No music ... Tea was old, stale, and weak... Steak was so over cooked I was worried it had been sitting around a long time... Tortilla were so old they crunched when bitten into and stale.. Salsa was so thin it was like tomato soup. I am not eating the rest of my meal... Headed to Taco Bell

Extremely rude service. The waitress had no idea what we ordered. She didnt know what unsweet tea was. She brought our cold food to us and threw it on the table. After eating we waited for 30 minutes to get our check. When we asked for the check the manager yelled at us that we wanted it seperated (which we never asked for.) And Im not over exaggerating, she yelled Im out face. Never again. Eater beware. Go to La Tolteca!

Waitress didnt speak english at all. Didnt understand what we wanted for an order and asked us which food was ours when it came out. Never got a check until we asked for it and then was yelled at when we did. Then waitress came up to us and asked what we got like she didnt write anything down. Food was mediocre. Depressing atmosphere. Go to La Tolteca instead or even Qdoba.

We went there for lunch on cinco de mayo and it took them 5 minutes to seat us even though we were the only ones standing there. Then they sat us an unwashed table and 30 minutes passed but nobody even got us drinks so we left. Youd think for it being a holiday like cinco de mayo theyd have more than 2 waiters.

Excellent Authentic Mexican. Tamales were second only to homemade. Very friendly service, even for us gringos. EDIT: I knocked off 1 star because the portion sizes seem pretty inconsistant. My last tamal was half the size of previous ones. Everything still tastes good, and thats the most important part.

Waitress was not nice, slow service, 20 minutes to take my order but it was out in less than 1 minute. Cold steak taco, warm beans, cold rice. Asked for chips and salsa and she gave me a look like I was asking for the world, never got them. I will never eat at this place again. Dont waste your money.

Was seeking some eats and they were near. After being seated, we waited far too long for service. I wouldnt of had a issue if it wasnt for us being the ONLY ppl in the restaurant. Guess having 3x the space for the dining room didnt matter to management....the bar is where they profit.

The chips and salsa were okay until we reached the bottom of the basket...and found a torn cigarette butt! I didnt know the young bucks that worked there so I couldnt discern whether it was a mistake or if the cook was being mischievous. My family and I left in disgust.

Never mind me that this is located in a strip mall. Walk in and think you should be fancy only to realize thats it has no consistent theme or decor Food was decent however waitress couldnt get the order correct I wont be returning, dont waste your time nor money!!

The food here is fantastic. Im not surprised when people say the place looks empty... its a huge restaurant! Anyway, these guys are the REAL thing. I really enjoyed my burrito. Too big to finish, so had the rest for dinner. Bar is open! Cheers!

The waiter was quiet but very polite and served us quickly and atmosphere is nice. The iced tea wasnt very good but the flautas with beef were so good! The rice on the side however was bland and room temp. But overall, Id eat here again.

I ordered 3 tacos: chicken, steak and pastor. Each one was cooked to perfection and exactly what I was looking for in a taqueria. The hot sauce and green sauces were excellent. Even thought this is out of the way Ill be back.

Absolutely amazing and consistently great food. They have been around since the early 2000s but have recently expanded into the larger restaurant setting they deserve. Absolutely authentic Mexican food.

Drinks were flat, chips were reused and already had salsa on them, place was completely empty and that shouldve been our clue to RUN! Will never go back and do not encourage anyone to eat at this place

Slow service during the day at 1pm. Server could not reccomend any food as he did not eat here. Total experience was 90 minutes with 3 people at our table and 3 other couples upon arrival.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I ordered a sandwich recommended by the young lady working there. It was excellent. I went back three days later to get another.

Understaffed and empty. The food looked good but lacked flavor. The decor was lacking, looked like they were about to move out. I wanted to like it but I dont think I will be back.

Fast service but food was terrible. I had enchiladas and there was hardly any meat or cheese. Husband had a quesadilla, his also was very lean on the meat and it had no flavor.
