Had lunch today at Kent Island. Hostess started to seat us and my wife asked for a booth and I asked for it to be near a window. She passed a set-up empty booth beside a window, and took us to a table against the wall. As she tried to seat us, I asked if we could go back to the booth. She acted as though we couldnt make up our mind. My wife noticed she was chewing a big wad of gum as she talked to us. Didnt bother me, but really set off my wife. We started with 1) sweetened ice tea and 1) unsweetened ice tea. When it came, our waitress admitted she had no idea which was which, and we could just taste it and switch if it was wrong. We should have left, but instead ordered MD crab soup, crab cake salad, chicken salad sandwich (asked for cole slaw, but when it came it had chips), and a special turkey-salad stuffed tomato. The meal was served without the soup, we finished nearly 1/2 of it and then she came back to see if all was OK. When I mentioned the soup didnt come yet, she just walked away... and did return with the soup, which felt like it had been nuked in the microwave .... scalding hot cup, saucer and soup looked boiled over. We quietly finished, but as we were ready to leave, my wife noticed a table near us who had been there before we arrived, and still hadnt been served. Then the food came out, but it was wrong and needed to go back to the kitchen. Then, I noticed on the return of one of the plates, as the waitress came around the corner from the kitchen, something was hanging off the plate and she simply used her hands to push it back up on..... it looked like salad, but I couldnt be sure. So, we agreed to "check that box"; no need to do Adams Ribs again. By the way, Im 66 years old, and this is the second complaint in my life Ive registered with any eating place. Its impossible to enjoy good food surrounded by obviously sloppy staff. You might tolerate 1, but all 3 that were working in our area?!

Chose the restaurant as a likely place to eat on Wednesday. There was a good sized crowd but not maximum capacity, so I was wondering why some wait staff were buzzing about without any true efficiency while others were standing around chatting. Our waitress, although friendly, did not know the beers on tap off hand. I ordered the brisket sandwich with well done fries and coleslaw, but shortly after changed my order from fries to hush puppies. She went to see if the ticket could be changed and then another waiter said it could, but there was an extra charge of $1.00. That was fine. When the meal came the fries arrived, crispy. I understand if the order change came too late, but the hush puppies failed to appear and no reason was given. After my boyfriend and I finished our meals (no wet nap with ribs?! seriously?) the hush puppies finally showed up, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with cinnamon butter. New chef that night? Who has never heard of hush puppies? When questioning the waitress, a random spiel occurred and it seemed she either didnt want to admit the kitchens mistake, or she didnt know what hush puppies were either. So...if accurate orders arent your style and you want to eat beef or pork that vaguely resembles barbecue, and youve never heard of or ingested a hush puppy in your life this place is for you!

Good but expensive. I ordered the ahi tuna Caesar salad. I asked for my tuna cooked rare and it came out medium well in terms of how tuna is cooked. Very disappointed, obviously someone in the kitchen doesnt know what ahi tuna is (sushi grade tuna, rare should mean only the outside is seared and the inside should be raw). And if Im wrong about that, apparently so is every restaurant Ive had this at prior. The dressing was also very thin, I had a puddle of it left on the plate when I was done. The taste was good, but the quality wasnt there.

Friendly staff, delicious food, great beer selection and reasonable prices! First few times we went here, we were surprised how good everything was! The ribs are fall-off-the-bone good and would recommend the Gator Wings to anyone! Their barbecue sauce tend to be a sweeter one, but even people like me (who like smokey sauces more) will enjoy them. Beer selection is always rotating with tons of local favorites and new selection every time you go. Staff is always friendly and prices are VERY reasonable for what you get.

Great place. The ribs are fantastic. The Cole slaw is perfect. My husband loves the chicken. The service is absolutely top notch. We have been there several times. Recently, we celebrated our sons 7th birthday there. We were a party of 20 with a cake and gifts. The service was over and above what was expected. The orders were correct and the timing was good. The restaurant staff was helpful with the cake and gifts. Very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Im not sure why some reviews were not so great. Honestly, I found the ribs tasty and cooked to perfection. Nice sear on the edges, caramelized sauce. Perhaps a touch bland, but a bit of salt woke it up just fine. The cole slaw and beans were as good as any Ive had. We finally checked out Adams Ribs on our drive back from OC to DC. Might fine dinner. We all enjoyed it very much and plan to return each trip to the shore.

Mac and cheese is super cheesy and its made with queso so theres tomatoes in it. The ribs are seasoned and cooked to almost fall of the bone. The barbeque shrimp is amazing and wrapped in bacon. The pulled pork, however, was not amazing. I definitely wouldnt do that again. Also the onion rings were not great. The Caesar salad was good as well.

Dont waste your money! Had a full rack of ribs that were nothing special but the worst part of the meal was our baked potatoes tasted like they had been re-baked! Burnt and hollow from sitting ALL day. Just a over all bad experience. Go to McDonalds instead. Seriously, it cant be worse and it wont cost you an arm and a leg.

Adams tap house and grill is our favorite place to go on Kent Island! The staff is awesome and all of the food is great! Special today is Texas Chicken Club. Texas BBQ chicken breast with bacon and cheddar on Texas toast. It was delish! Chicken was cooked perfectly. The bacon cheddar and Texas toast worked great.

Solid beer list, great wings (go grilled, those are the best - and keep an eye on the Wing of the Week flavors for creative variations on an old fave), and pretty solid ribs. Ive never been thrilled with much else on the menu, but those three bring me back. Solid wait-staff, and great bartenders.

The facility is clean and inviting. My husband had the ahi tuna and I had the honey bbq wings. The food was excellent and it was delivered to our table promptly. As we are traveling back to Pennsylvania, it was a welcomed surprise. My husband noted the mile marker for a return trip.
