We ordered as a group from my job. We all thought it was pretty good until a bug showed up in my co-wokers Chicken Tikka marsala!! a pretty huge bug. Everyone was pretty disgusted and threw their food away. I made sure to take pics before we got rid of it. We called back, and after finding someone who could speak english well enough , they didnt believe us. They told my boss to go dig it out of the trash and they would send the driver back. I personally dug it out of the trash, and no one ever showed up! I called back and they kept asking me if i was sure....very unprofessional. Apparently my entire team can mistake a huge bug for a burt onion.... If you dont mind bugs in your food, this place is awesome. But as for me, i dont like being fed bugs, forced to dig in the trash, forced to wait for help, all while being called a liar. Eat 24 baltimore was equally disgusted about the situation when we called them and we recieved a full refund. They are professional. Watch out people!!

I read a review by Shailendra Mishra. It sounded pretty personal. I read many good reviews about Lumbini on Google and on Zomato. So, thought to give it a try. They were so welcoming !! My server did not speak fluent english but she tried her best to make me feel comfortable. At one point when she realized that she wouldnt be able to communicate any more she called her boss who was the owner. I ordered for Gosht Vindaloo. They served it fresh. The portion was really good. Came with rice but gave me complimentary side dish which was fried potatoes and chick peas. Although the side dish was not great but the gosht vindaloo (which is goat cooked in a spicy gravy) was really good. The spices in the gravy were well cooked. The rice was also of good quality and not to mention the naan was very fresh, crisp and well done !! I give this place a 4 star and I would strongly recommend people to go here.

This is now one of our favorite places in the area. Had gone in for dinner a couple of years ago & food was so tasteless, we left with only eating part of our meal. We live in the area & one day we wanted a change from our usual favorite restaurants. So we decided we would give this restaurant on more shot. We went for the lunch buffet & were amazed how good it was. It is American mainstream Indian food but it was well seasoned, every dish on the buffet was delicious. I am a meat eater and ate my fill, particularly the goat curry. My partner is vegetarian & there was a wide range of vegetarian dishes that were absolutely delicious. We went back a couple of weeks later to make sure it wasn 't a fluke & it was just as delicious the second time. This is now one of our regular spots.

Been there a few times. The food has always been good - albiet slightly inconsistent on occassions. The waitstaff is always extremely friendly and helpful. However, I noticed something odd on my recent visit there. A guy had handed the tip to the waitress in her hand and she looked completely taken aback. She then put the cash on the table and began clearing the plates. The manager then came to collect the bill. I then began noticing how every time someone paid in cash, the manager would swoop in to get the bill. And thats when I realized: they dont give tips to their waiting staff. Utterly disappointed at this behaviour, especially for a restaurant that is doing as well as they are. As much as I love their food, I dont know what to make of all this.

My personal favorite when it comes to Indian food. I would say its the best in Baltimore. My family and I come here rather often on special occasion and being Indian, can vouch that it is authentic and well done. The decor isnt much to look at, but the service is good and food is great. It is a bit pricey but worth it. Their goat and lamb dishes are always fresh. The rice is cooked properly, which can be very hit or miss at most Indian places. They are generous with it as well. The naan is also amazing, i highly suggest it.

This place is not BYOB! And we only found this out after the server allowed us to open a bottle of wine we brought, WITH A CORKSCREW THAT HE SUPPLIED US. The manager was very polite, but said we would have to pay for the wine if we wanted to drink it. I would have had no issues dining there had they told us they were no longer BYOB before we opened the wine, but we got up and left. They need to update their Google profile.

Food was ok, service was horrible. Waitress seemed a little prejudice trying to hurry me and get me out of there. Didnt ask if everything was ok, didnt ask if i wanted anything else. Now mind you im from out of town on a business trip and was looking for a vegetarian place nearby my hotel and got treated like one of the locals. Thats my first and last time eating there if im ever back in Baltimore.

Horrible experience. Called them In advance and drove 15 mile. When ordered the food, they were so unprofessional and told that we cant take your order since you are not ordering any starter. Such an idiotic rule they have that you cant order main dish without started. Will never visit them. Also, the restaurant was not clean and very annoying smell. We had to come out without ordering any food.

The food is great but unfortunately their web order form does not function. After waiting 45 minutes for my order I finally called them. They were polite and informed me that their order system does not always function and that I should have called them. For me this is unacceptable as there was no instruction on their web site telling me to do this.

There was barely one vegetarian choice. Sad to say that that the palak panneer I ate upset my stomach. There was water spill that I had to remind 5 times to come and cleanup but they silently skipped doing it until we left. I had to sit in the mess and eat. I am not sure if the management changed. This was not my experience a couple of years back.

The food is overpriced. Three people served on us and everyone messed up our order somehow. Servers didnt seem to understand what we were asking for. Served our food without the bread we paid for and just brought it in the middle of the dish. It also took almost 40 minutes to get our food. We will avoid this place in future!

Lumbini is one of the best Indian restaurants in Baltimore. I have eaten here countless times and they always provide incredible quality food for a reasonable price. The best deal, however, is the lunch buffer for $9.99 which includes a large portion of their menu. I highly recommend eating here given the opportunity.

They have the BEST Shrimp Tikka Masala!!!!!!!!!!!! Its sooo good! They were my first experience with Indian food and everything else has failed to compare to them ever since! I definitely recommend to anyone. If you like spicy, just tell them and theyll make it SPICY! Love this place. Officially Obsessed!
