Got the groupon for takeout and decided to try it. They refused to honor the groupon because we placed our order online via their own website. They insisted the fine print says this isnt allowed. We read the fine print out loud to them to show that there was no such restriction listed. Apparently ordering online from their own website (instead of calling) means they pay a small fee to some business who facilitates the online order and they arent willing to take a double hit with the groupon. Fine with me if that is spelled out clearly. It isnt. A good business would honor the groupon and then go fix the fine print for the future. The guy just rudely kept saying it wasnt possible. Not true- its totally possible, he just chose not to. Isnt the whole point of running a groupon to incentivize people to come try your business with the hopes that they will return and pay full price in the future? They totally turned us off with teh bad customer service. The food was decent but we wont be returning and will not recommend to friends.

I have had Indian all over the world and this was the worst Indian food that I have ever tasted. My dish (Malai Kofta) tasted like Easy Mac mixed with pure cream. I could taste no spices whatsoever. The Vegtable Samosa appeared to be instant mashed potatoes with canned peas. The Paneer Tikka Masala also appeared to be mostly canned peas with a very low quality masala sauce. I hope that they can change because this really gives Indian food a bad name. I would never take someone here who has never had Indian food, it would ruin it forever. The only positive note is that it has a clean interior. There is a much better/higher quality restaurant a two blocks away on York Road (across from the library) called Cafe Spice.

I am a fan of Indian food and have visited Indian restaurants all over the US whereever i could visit. In terms of taste and flavor kathmandu kitchen comes a distant place away from true authentic indian flavor. If you truly want to enjoy Indian food visit Asiana Indian Cusine in Cockeysville. I stumbled upon this restaurant because of an Indian acquaintance and ever since have become a fan of this restaurant. Their service is awesome and very customer friendly. If you get a chance try their Buffet..muuaaah. My mouth is watering :). As an appetizer do try the chole chaat (ask them to make it medium in spices if you are wary of the spice level). Its awesome

I ordered on Eat 24 and was told it would take 45 to 60 min for delivery. It took 55 min...it was in the the time frame but just seemed a little long. The delivery girl was very nice. I got a vegetable dish in a spicy tomato based sauce. The vegetables were straight out of a freezer bag....little dices carrots, peas and the tiny round potatoes. Nothing was sauteed and the vegetables were tough. The sauce was bland and oily. I love all kinds of food....but this was really, really terrible. I ate a third and threw the rest out.

Clean and modern dining room. Relatively small buffet featuring the typical selections. Entree flavor was good, basmati rice was a little crunchy, fried rice was a little bland, nan was in the buffet (not fresh to your table). Only $8 and change, so a buck or two less than is typical in the region. Dont make a special trip but if youre in downtown Towson and feel like Indian, this ones OK. FOLLOW UP: Better during my second visit. Now I WANT to go back for the excellent buffet at a bargain price.

Great decor, great staff, and some of the best Indian food Ive ever had. The chicken tikka masala is literally addicting... currently on day two in a row for dinner... Its BYOB which means the drink prices are unbeatable, and the daily lunch buffet is a great deal. I honestly wish more people knew about this place. Its a real hidden gem in uptown Towson. Just make sure you bring a fork if you order carry-out. Thats my only advice.

Excellent Food!!! Everyone should try momos, the Nepalese Dumplings! A few people giving average rating probably didnt realize Nepalese food is a bit different than Indian food! The names sound alike but Nepalese food is tad different and it has a Tibetan influence! Overall, this place has a nice ambience, great food and attentive staff! Anybody who likes spicy food should try Chicken Chilly-- YUM

One of our favorite places in the entire Baltimore metro area after living in five different neighborhoods across over a decade. We keep coming back to Kathmandu. Love the korma, tasty samosas, never had to wait too long, service is just right. Crave Kathmandu on a regular basis and have celebrated several of our life events with dinner at Kathmandu.

I was told to expect food 45 minutes after I ordered. It arrived after an hour a a half. The delivery person didnt deliver it to the house, I had to walk down a particularly long drive because the driver didnt want to drive up to the house. Food arrived lukewarm, was acceptable. Will not be ordering again. Called 3 times, no satisfaction.

I just ordered some Indian food for delivery from this place and oh my gosh it was delicious and it wasnt very spicy at all which I loved because I enjoy Indian food but not when it is very spicy. I will definitely order again and again. We had the Shrimp Tikka Marsala and Chicken curry and it was just perfect.

This is my favorite Indian lunch buffet. Well actually its Nepalese but it tastes very similar to Indian food. The veggie korma is my favorite but its also very rich. The service is pretty good in this place as well. I wish they had a dinner buffet as well. I would absolutely recommend this place.

The food is decent but I ordered this by delivery for work and they couldnt even give me a fork to eat my food with, when I called they said I had to request a fork. Why would I need to request a fork if youre delivering this to a business. Please do better

We had chicken curry and chicken tikka masala with naan. Food was excellent. Perfect spiciness, great flavor, served piping hot. Naan was soft, hot and fluffy. Service was very fast and friendly and decor was clean and inviting.

Im always pleased when I order from Kathmandu Kitchen. The food takes a little while to come out but thats that sacrifice for made to order food. If you are looking for fast food McDonalds is a 5 minutes drive away.

The food was incredible. The Service was awesome. All around a great restaurant. I am not sure how people are unsatisfied. They ask you how spicy you want the food and brought a ton of extra food for free!

I would have given a 2 star but the waitress was really nice. Food is mediocre and food on buffet appeared to be old and dry. I went for lunch w/co workers and they enjoyed it. Well to each its own!

Delicious food at a reasonable price, I love the chicken korma the best!! Prompt delivery and respectful service. If you need an Indian (Nepalese) food fix then this is a good choice.
