We had a very bad experience at this place. We went to this place for a buffet lunch on Saturday. We had few guests with us. They have lunch till 3 pm and we were little late and reached there at 2.45. We were told by the server that we have only 15 mins to eat because they are closing at 3. We requested him to give atleast 30 mins and he said no. Server was very rude to us and told us that it was our problem that we were late and not his. So we had no option but to leave. Food is anyway average and expensive here. If you want to try good Indian food then there are better options in mount Vernon FYI darbaar owner/ manager, when you write lunch is till 3 it means door closes at 3 and not that if anyone is eating has to leave at 3. If you want to prepare for dinner then keep the lunch till 2 or atleast close the doors so no one can come inside rather then insulting the customers and building your bad reputation. Because we are Indians and local in Baltimore, many people ask us about good indian restaurants here. Darbaar youll be getting very bad publicity from us.

Cant beat a great lunch buffet, 2 soft drinks and tip for $30. I went all vegetarian on this one and everything was delicious. More fresh vegetables for the salad section would be a welcomed addition. There are several Indian uses for cucumber (which they had there) to make appetizing salads. A little pickling and curry and they would make that part of the buffet equally as appetizing and the rest. BTW, dessert was included with the Buffet, but I did not over indulge. I rarely give bad reviews to local Fells Points restaurants but this time I have to. I love Indian food, however, I never got to experience this. We were seated and waited 15-20mins before flagging down a server. They took the order and quickly bought over the wine, which was a surprisingly good Malbec. However, 45mins later we still had no food. When asked how everything was....I replied not good. We left the restaurant. This place is a shambles. I will not go back again, even after being given our food for free. Its not worth it and it ruined the night.

Perhaps they add spices to your dish only if you dine in. Last night I ordered delivery with a friend. We shared garlic nan, paneer makhani, and chana masala. The garlic nan was delicious. However, the other two dishes had very little flavor. The Amys Organic frozen mattar paneer has a better taste than either of the dishes we ordered. After adding a lot of hot sauce, my meal was satisfactory. I do not plan on going back.

I took off two stars from my reviews because though for quality is okay, they dont have more options for vegetarians. Secondly the ambience is not that good looking. The place is kinda old looking. They dont have their dedicated parking which is understood though since they are located in downtown where free parking is almost impossible.

The customer service here is horrible. I recently went here for my birthday and experienced the worst service Ive ever received. The food was over-priced. The placed smelled like they left the gas burner on and the bathroom was super untidy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The food was good but difficult to enjoy after one of the employees threw up on the ramp right next to me. No one even cleaned it up that well. The employee that threw up was also the one bringing plates and food to the buffet. Hopefully what he has is not contagious.

We were so happy to see an Indian restaurant open up in our area, and this place does not disappoint. We keep going back and taking friends with us. The food is terrific, the service is excellent, the owners are sweet. We hope they stay around for a long time.

Its a great little indian restaurant, I particularly liked the Thali mixed plate. Its was enough for two and delicious. Ive eaten at many indian places, and this was up there with the best, as authentic as youll find in the area.

Really, really good food. Nice, quiet ambiance. You need to know what to order though - all the stir fry dishes are fantastic if youre looking for a serious meal. I usually get Tom Yum Soup, and the Yum Salad with chicken.
