went in they said it was 35 min wait for the table, then we waited for 30 mins and called back and asked how much longer and the lady on the phone said to "come on right in there are only two tables ahead of ya!" went back in the resturant and asked for the table, they lady said 35 min wait but there was a table available and empty.. but yet they still didnt seat us. I Told the waitress I had spoke on the phone with someone and they said to come in, the waitress went to the back table to talk to someone and the lady gave me a full body check, which made me feel uncomfortable.. the waitress came back and said yea 35 mins wait. my friend and I left and Some other lady who too was told to wait told us they have another location on light street and is a lot bigger, we then made our way there. Luckily we found a table took us less than 5 mins to place the order, we waited for 30 mins and then asked one of the waitress (who gave me very unpleasant look...) our order hasnt come out yet.. she said she would check, she went to the back and never came back to us and attended other tables. we then waited another 10-12 mins and then my friend asked another waitress and the waitress went back and came back and said the food is about to come out. we waited 8 more mins.. and realized the two tables who came approx. 25 mins after us had already gotten their food and we did not. we then called one of the waitress again and said can we have the check please and she said the food is coming soon, and we said no we will pay for the drink and we need to go, because we had a flight to catch. the girl went up to the front desk, to talk to another girl, in-regards of us wanting to leave, while she was coming back to us, another lady came with the food after 50 mins of us waiting. we asked if they can pack it, we had to leave.. then one of the waitresses came back and said shes sorry that the order came late becuase we came late??? she had the audacity to make up a very dolt excuses, which did NOT make any sense. she said she put in our order last? but why? the tables around us who came after us had gotten their food but us yet their order was put in first? nothing added up we didnt say anything got our food packed, paid and left. My friend later brought it up and said you know why that had happened right, and I told him yes I know, he said he realized it was because I was the only hijab wearing female there. I told my friend, yes I realized it the 2nd time when I asked the waitress and she didnt even bother to really check, and i got the nasty look from the waitress as if I was an alien. It is SAD because in the first restaurant they told us to come right in until I went in the and the lady saw me and then said to wait 35 mins more even when there was a table available, and in the second restaurant still got those nasty looks yet made us wait and gave food to the people who came after us, but us.

Along with 72 other reviewers here we also saw this place on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I thought the Captain Crunch French toast looked like the bomb on the show. Unfortunately they want $9 for 3 pieces of French Toast. Better be really good for $9. I tried it and it was so not worth it. The presentation on the show is wildly different than what you get in the restaurant. DDD shows the french toast with identifiable pieces of captain crunch. Their menu shows identifiable pieces of captain crunch. When you get it severed that though all you get is perhaps a dusting of captain crunch from the bottom of the box, no identifiable pieces. On DDD they show that the french toast is served with fresh fruit and fresh whipped cream. In the restaurant it is served with old browning fruit and no whipped cream at all. I also ordered bacon crispy and it came out limp and undercooked. Not sure why a place that prides itself on breakfast cannot make bacon. My wife ordered pancakes, and she has had better pancakes out of a bisquick box. It was very expensive for the quality of food I would expect out of a Denneys. It is so not worth going there for the food! On the plus side our waitress was in the DDD episode about 53 seconds into the show. She was extremely nice and professional. She didnt bat an eye when I asked for the bacon to be taken off the bill. And she seemed genuinely remorseful that the food was not what we saw on TV, nor was it very good. I should clarify the food wasnt bad, it just wasnt worth more than a Denneys price for it. My hope for this review is that the owners read this and dont reject it. Make the changes that are needed to live up to your reputation or I assure you I am only the first of a long line of people who will give you a bad review. Finally for the record I have been to several other DDD restaurants and they have mostly been off the hook good. You can read my other reviews on them on my profile.

We were in Baltimore staying at the Marriott and needed a place to eat late at night. A local recommended the Blue Moon Cafe and when we got there around 3AM, we knew we had struck gold... Its a casual place with great service that fosters a friendly atmosphere and we had a fun time joking with the tables next to us while waiting for our food, which was absolutely phenomenal. I had eggs, bacon and regular french toast while my companions all opted for the Capn Crunch French Toast (I tried it. It is EXCELLENT). My food was great and I think the bacon was some of the best Ive ever had. The food was so good that we rushed out of our conference on Saturday morning to make it back to Blue Moon before the closed for the day. So glad we made it... Gina, the manager, was super cool with us and recommended the Eggs Benedict with spicy MD crab (and I opted for it on a homemade biscuit) with hash browns. I loved it. My partners had Capn Crunch French toast (again) and one guy had the ChorizonEggs (also delicious). Wed also heard about their sticky buns, but were told they were out of the normal kind. Luck for us, the busser (nicknamed "Chicken") came through with the chocolate chip sticky buns. Wed already stuffed ourselves so we took em to go, but after a long drive back to NYC just a couple mins in the microwave and we were in heaven. In summary: - Excellent, well-prepared, homemade food - Great portions - Friendly staff - Fun atmosphere - Fairly priced If you are in the area, make it a point to go here. I cant wait to go back.
