this place.... -_- first off the waitress was ok nothing really wrong with her...weird girl but was alright at her job but the food on the other hand....no good I ate a ham egg and cheese sandwich really greasy from all the butter and then I find a piece of plastic in my food...just thought "thats awesome" I got mixed fruit which tasted old the waitress tried to warn me but I thought she was saying it was a bad mixture of fruit not that it was old! my boyfriend had a omelet with a Spanish style stake in it (cant remember the name) but it had hairs in it...not one hair but like 3 and he said the stake taste nothing at all like it should that it was just a piece of meat with too much sauce on it to try and mask the taste overall that was my first and LAST time eating there not to mention its not in the best area of Newport news

Walked in IHOP about 10:30 pm on a Sunday night and our waiter sat us down and told us that he was the only server and there was only one cook and that there were a few other tables. We said its okay and ordered. The food and service was outstanding. The waiters name was Malcom. He did an amazing job being the only server and so did the cook. It really bothers me that even on a Sunday, he was the only person. No manager or anything. He was very patient with all of the customers going in and out and all of their nasty attitudes. Just wanted to tell people how great Malcom is.

I tried to place a simple order so by the two me I got there I could pick it up and go to work! I have never been so irritated because this is my usual IHOP and I love the people here but after today I doubt if I do any more call in orders, there is no reason for it to take almost 10 minutes to place an order over the phone and I know how restaurants work, my daughter is a chef, my other daughter is a manager, hostess and waitress at the same restaurant for almost 9 years and youngest is a hostess/waitress too!

I have eaten at this particular IHOP on several occasions. Each time I have eaten here, I have been a little skeptical of the quality of food and cleanliness of the establishment. Today, proved me right as I found a fly sautéed in my potatoes and my friend found a spider on his pancakes. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here and I caution all others to eat here at your own RISK!!!

This place should be ashamed to be called a restaurant. They sat us down (by choice) between two dirty tables. One full of plates covered in flies and the other table was dirty with a large bowl of blueberry colored grits. The restaurant smelled like a cross between dirty laundry and sour milk. Dont waste your money or time visiting this location!!!

I had my breakfast here on Presidents day weekend. I visited IHOP in other locations, but this one is the best so far. The food tasted really good, fresh and like home-made. Ive got combo breakfast option and portion was huge (and all under $10) . Their french toast was amazing. The client service was very good. I will definitely come back here

First our waiter was so nice,funny,and flat out awesome because she took great care of us and even did everything from the table she made a refill to go,and was our cashier that never happened to me. The food was amazing because the egg wasnt cold,super runny,and made perfectly. Best IHOP in the world i am so coming back

I find it hard to believe they were on the phone for over 20 straight minutes. Tried placing a carry out order for my wife on her birthday and couldnt even get through past the busy signal. It is almost like they left the phone off the hook intentionally because they couldnt handle the business. Had to go somewhere else

Chilling, no really the temperature was in the 60 degree range and we asked to have it turned down we were told the AC was turned down but it was so,cold because the thermastat was set on 60. Then came the excuses, blah, blah, blah is all I heard because my ears had closed trying to keep my brain functioning.

During my last visit, I needed to request 3 different sets of silverware, because they all had egg residue on them. The time before that, there was a lone crackhead sitting 2 tables down, harrassing and literallt driving customers out. Terrible place! Dont take your children there.

Always enjoy excellent service and hospitality. Staff is very nice, efficient, and courteous. Even during Sunday after church slam have never experienced excessive waits between the server checking on our table. However, expect a bit of a weight to get a table on Sundays.

Ate here one time and the service is pretty good. Waited for only a few minutes to get seated despite the packed restaurant. Service is not the fastest with a packed house but still good food came out of the restaurant which was great since I was hungry.

One of my familys favorite places to go to eat. Im not surprised that the franchise has been around for so long. My only concern is that I dont think they value their employees as much as they should. I hope they are working on correcting this error.

Really have nothing to complain about. Ate breakfast here on 2 seperate occasions(breakfast). Ihop is my favorite restaurant for breakfast and I have been to several on the east coast. The best one I have been to yet.

We received our food quickly and our waiter, Lee, took such good care of us. He was bringing us stuff before we even realized that we needed it. Excellent Service...Great food. Definitely recommend this location.

Terrible customer service. The employee rushed and huffed and puffed while I looked through the menu and later gave me a smart comment and almost over charged me without saying anything until a manager came .

Wait help works hard, but looks like a lack of bus help has everything backed up. Noticed the same issue at the Williamburg IHOP awhile back. They could be doing more business. People are waiting on tables.

The food was terrible. The country fried steak and eggs. The meat didnt taste like meat, it seemed like it was microwaved. I could only take about 2 bites before I had enough.
