MY IHOP HELL EXPERIENCE! - We went there on 8/11/2017 for breakfast (3 adults 2 kids). The first thing that we felt was strong bad odor, we were seated in a section in the back close to the kitchen. The waitress was trying to be nice, but rushing us thru the order taking. Then we saw her and other waitresses constantly arguing, having attitude, even yelling at each other. It was a very hostile environment. Then we hear dishes/glass breaking in the kitchen. It was 1 hour after we placed our order and still no food. Then, before getting up to leave, I asked to speak with the Manager. I was told he was cooking. Another waitress came and she brought the Manager. I told the Manager that this was unaceptable, we were there waiting for 1 hr. after placing our order, all that yelling and fighting and waitresses attitudes and I also told him we were leaving. He was very apologetic, and then our breakfast was brought out to our table. We ate and then at check out I was told that the Manager took care of it. Ok, but I dont think that customers should be exposed to such bad experience. I really hope some one from IHOP headquarters get that store in order and get rid of the rude waitresses and get a staff that can be efficient in serving and make your customers feel welcome. My rating for thi store is 0, but since that is not an option, I rated 1. My suggestion, DO NOT GO TO THIS IHOP!

If I could give this place a zero star I would. My husband, daughter and I were very displeased with the service here. After waiting 30 minutes to overhear a conversation by our waiter to another table that there was a problem in the kitchen, we waited an additional 30 minutes before I requested to speak with the manager because there were two tables that was seated after us that received their food, ate their food and paid. When I requested for the manager, the waiter came back 5 minutes later stating that we will receive a discount. I was highly insulted that the manager did not even have the decency to come to speak with us after we watched him go to a white family who also had similar concerns about the wait and slow service. Instead he assumed that all we wanted was a "free or discounted meal" maybe because we were a black family and there are assumptions about black people. The manager on duty at the time chose not to hear what our concerns or issues were. We did not eat here and got up and left the establishment. We will never go to this IHOP again and recommend others not to as well. We went on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 12pm to 1:30pm.

This is the worst IHOP I have ever been too. Our server was pleasant personality wise but the service itself was horrible. Maybe 5 tables out of the entire restaurant were sat including ours. For two adults and a two year old it took two hours to get in and out. All of our orders were messed up. And after taking it back four times it still was not right. My sister ordered eggs, ham and toast-and they brought her eggs, sausage, bacon(raw on one side and burnt on the other) and hash browns. After taking it back four times and still not getting it right the manger said he would comp our food-but my sister still wasnt given what she ordered. Even the kids meal was incorrect and other than a request for shell eggs, there was nothing unique about the order. Food was missing off the plates and it was so slow no one ate together. It took 25 mins just to get our drinks. I will never go back. This experience was awful.

Service was terrible. We had to wait over 10 minutes when we first got there when over half of the restaurant was empty. I think they had 2 waiters working, the rest were just hanging in the back area. I asked the server if allergens were handled separate from the rest of the food and she assured me yes. Within 10 minutes of my meal, I felt sick. I checked online when I got home and wheat/peanut allergies are not handled in a separate area. Please educate your staff on allergens. While mine are mild, some people could have had a much worse reaction. We had to ask 4 times for a refill. My friend had to ask a manager for ketchup. Dont waste your time at this location, I would not recommend it. If you are in the Richmond area, eat at the ihop on Jeff Davis in Chester, that one is much nicer and always has great service.

My family & I walked in to 2 employees sitting on a bench talking. They saw us walk in but did not greet us nor seat us. After 5 minutes of waiting, we were seated by an employee who seemed to be fairly new. He took our drink order & told us he would return shortly with our drinks. 5 minutes later, a lady (she looked like a manager) walked up and asked to take our drink order as well so that goes to show you she was not paying attention as to what her employees were doing. The waiter brough us our drinks and took our order. It took about 30 minutes to get the food. Half of the food was cold & half of the food was burnt (hash browns). It took forever to get a refill & the bill. They were slow too so that goes to show you, they didnt care. I would not recommend anyone to eat here.

Walked in to an empty front half of the restaurant, but only waited a minute or two before the host approached from the back of the house and seated us in a friendly manner. Restaurant was about half full and our server, Jessica, was absolutely amazing. She anticipated needs that most servers never think of (I.e. asking us if we had enough cream and if we wanted a refill of the pot right away since two cups almost empties the coffee carafe). she was personable and knowledgeable of the menu. great at offering extra options such as cheese that again many servers just dont take the time or effort to offer. the food was standard iHop fare which is to say great for the price. thank you Jessica for blowing my service expectations out of the water!

This is terrible the server was nice and it was not her fault but, we waited 2 hours no joke, then I know it is there job to sing Happy birthday but it was right next to my 2 mount old brother, well that got him crying, we had to wait two hours what made us more mad is that people that came later that just got there and they got there food before us, I will never go to this I hop again it is so bad, we are on vacation and we wanted to do a bunch of things in Williamsburg but now not only do we have not enough time but we also cant do all the things we wanted because now they are closed for the day,I dont know what is wrong with this place, this was so bad, we wanted to only be there for a hour and not waiting for food to actually eat

There is something about iHOP I really like. But this place isnt one of the better places. Service is usually mediocre and while the food is okay to almost good, it takes awhile to get the order correct. For some reason the manager ends up helping his wait staff get initial drinks, order to the kitchen, from the kitchen, etc. The last two times here the wait staff completely forgot to ask if we wanted desert. This is in keeping in that after taking the order and bringing food, the only time youll see your wait staff is when the walk by for some reason from the front to the back of the restaurant. I keep hoping that theyll get it all together, but they keep failing me.
