Update: Were saddened to learn that most of the team who gave this place its charm has left. First to go were Lanai and Morgan who were always bubbly and inviting. Barbara cut back her hours to only Saturday nights but its unclear if she is still here. And tonight we learned that our favorite, Phil, has separated with Grapes and the reason given is well-practiced by his replacement. There is no camaraderie anymore. The welcoming atmosphere has been replaced with a cold wine service who doesnt want to educate you...they only want to pour a wine that you already know. Sad to see this transformation for our go-to place which may turn into a less frequent destination. This was our go-to place for wine where we had to go at least once a week to get our fix. It was a neighborhood gem with an amazing wine list and featured weekly wine offerings. The new menu started off great when Chef Travers was given more creative license, but the menu hasnt changed with the season so its stale. We looked forward to the specials of the week email to see what creations he thought up for the upcoming week but havent seen much variety since our last time here before vacation. Lanai, Morgan, Barb, Kenna, and Phil were the real stars though. The passion and knowledge each of them had for the wines made it an even more enjoyable experience. Sad to see its lost the ambience in favor for just being another wine bar in the area.

A little taste of France right in Annapolis! Like stepping into a Paris cafe. The food is high quality, wines excellent (and generally available for purchase next door at Wine Cellars of Annapolis), and company warm. Our favorite place for all occasions, special and ordinary!

Grapes is extraordinary! The wine, the food and the staff all exceed expectations! It has to be the finest small plate restaurant in Annapolis. Top that with the exceptional wines and you have a night to remember!

The chef at Grapes is a genius! Creative flatbreads, amazing specials and youve got to try the whipped goat cheese topped with fig jam! Great food, a large selection of wines and a knowledgable staff to serve it.

The staff is fantastic and they stand behind what they make. If something is not perfect, they make it right. The manager, the owner and all the staff are just great! Best Frau Grau in the area too!

What a terrific small plates and wine restaurant. So close to where we live, this is a treasure. My wife says not to post because we want to keep this place a secret.
