The food out of the kitchen was alright but the sushi was horrible and everyone around was complaining about it to. The poor waitress felt bad because everyones sushi was coming out late and sucked. I even recall the sushi chefs getting mad at her for telling the costumers the truth. She said they had gotten new sushi chefs and even a couple people complained the to manager who seem to not even care and kept apologizing but doing nothing. The next day I went back to get togo, and everything was good except the sushi yet again... I called to tell the manager who didnt seem to care and I could barely understand with her broken English. The prices are extremely high as well. JUST go to Houma if you want good sushi and food.

Atmosphere: Too bright / No Asian music playing Waiter: Disinterested & Inattentive Price: Appropriate Food: The clear soup & ginger house salad dressing were really tasty. I dont normally like oriental clear soups, but this one has a very robust flavor, garnished with bits of mushroom & green onion. The ginger salad dressing has a very tangy, refreshing flavor. Ordered the hibachi entree of Shrimp / Filet Mignon / Lobster. The lobster was very overdone: tough & skimpy on the portion. The steak & shrimp were fine. The noodles served w/ the entree were silky. There was something off about the fried rice. The grilled vegetables were good. Conclusion: Nothing really exceptional here to return.

This is not a good place to eat. If you like fresh food and a clean, hospitable setting then you will need to look elsewhere. It is sad to think of how much delectable, fresh seafood is available in this part of the United States. Alas, it is not available at Geaux Fish. The service is subpar as well, and they will automatically add a gratuity to parties of 5 or more. FYI, if that is a pet peeve of yours.

Love the food here, the sushi is great, and its probably the best dining experience in Thibodaux. The service is a bit inconsistent, Ive been when it was very good but the last time I was there it left something to be desired. However, if you happen to end up in the area its definitely worth a night out at Geaux Fish (and give the Asparagus Tempura a try!).

I go to school in Thibodaux and Geaux Fish is definitely the best place to go. I always get the Thibodaux Roll with a side of fried rice and eel sauce (dont worry, its deliciously sweet). I have been to several sushi and hibachi restaurants and this has to be my favorite.

HD a great lunch date with my husband at 3pm and the place was empty and a bit dark but our server was wonderful and the 2 sushi rolls and shrimp tempora with clear soup and ginger salad were all amazing! Can wait to go back!

Clean place, great sushi However, the waiter was really rude. I had to ask her to speak up a few times because she would talk to be with her back turned. Kinda of expensive also.
