I literally eat here almost every weekend. The food is great. The service is terrible!! It is not a large place and I have never seen it packed. Theres are 4 tables outside. I have never gone there and seen more than 2 tables outside being used. There are 7 tables inside. Ive never seen every table used. However these kids cannot handle it!! The past 2 weeks the service has been very slow and wrong. However tonight was by far the worst! I sat outside at a dirty table for at least 15 minutes and NO ONE came to clean or even tell us that someone would be with us shortly. I went inside and stood at the bar for another 10 minutes. Watched 3 girls dancing in the back to "drop it like its hot"! I said excuse me multiple times to a girl that walked by and no acknowledgment! I asked if I was invisible and one girl said No and nothing else!! I waited another 5 minutes and had to leave because we were obviously not going to be served. They watched us leave without saying a word!! 3 of the girls werw standing outside smoking at this point! As an owner of my own business I hope this review gets to the owner of this place because the service has been declining over the past few weeks.

I had great food but the one of the worst service experiences ever so not sure how to rate that. I sit at bar, the bartender is watching a soccer game with coworkers. After 5-10 mins, comes over, visibly annoyed she has to be interrupted, to take my drink order. In the middle of taking my order, someone scored a point in the soccer game and she turns and walks away, literally mid-sentence, back to her coworkers to watch what happened on TV and continues watching the game! She did not come back to get my drink order for another 5-10 minutes. I should have walked out, but I didnt. I got the Sopes and the food was surprisingly great. Another bartender, a nice and friendly one this time, served me my food and my check because the first one was still pre-occupied with the game. Management should have a talk with that lady about her customer service...

We left New Orleans after our trip and our wallets were hurting. We rode through Slidell and stumbled upon this sanctuary of deliciousness on google. The ride through was sketchy, going through the heart of Slidell, but as soon rode into this little corner of paradise and there we found a sign from the heavens.. "Tacos and Beer" Our waitress was superb and the ambience was even better. The food was.. jdixudjz Sorry.. I had another orgasm thinking back on it. The food was, to say few words, to die for. To live for. To kill for. Maybe he latter was pushing it a little but it was genuinely close to it. In retrospect, we got taught a lesson in south western cuisine and where to get it. Definitely coming back again, if for nothing else, for the *censored words* tacos.

Ever notice how all Mexican restaurants are pretty much the same? Not this one! Its definitely a good different! I always thought that I hated guacamole. Turns out I just hate bad guac. Tacos and Beer is AMAZING! Im not even done yet. While the food is great, the service is even better! I dont know if they train their people right or if they just hire the right people, but it works. We had more kids than adults in our group. Danielle the server went far above and beyond getting the kids orders in and getting it all right. She anticipated everything we needed and took care of us!

Taco Tuesday is the best! The menu is awesome. I have tried several items but my favorite is the tacos. I recommend that you try each one once because they are all high quality and delicious. Even the cow tongue taco was great and I was definitely skeptical. The fresh made margaritas are great as well, but I would highly recommend choosing a DD before you arrive so the person drawing the short straw knows it going in. This is a great location for a casual gathering of friends any night of the week.

We had a pretty good time here and actually sat outside. The waitress was a little off and couldnt answer questions about the food or drink, but we managed to make it work. The watermelon drink was kind of a joke... I mean... how are you going to drink watermelon seeds? The taco plate for around $6 is the way to go!!! Great stuff. Rated low due to the waitress, but I think it will be better on our next visit.

I cant tell you how the food is yet because I have been waiting for an hour for it. Granted we came on a Friday evening at 6:30, but three other groups walked in after us and have already been served. If the food is good I may give this another star. Update: the food was ok. I got the chicken and it tasted like a Vienna sausage. Service was shoddy. I wont be back.

The only mexican place in Slidell with delicious & authentic mexican food. And such a great location in old town slidell (across from the old soda shop). Their steak tacos are excellent and their salsa is orignally good & spicy. Tacos Tuesdays there are a great deal with tacos specials and live music from the Coco Cruz Band!

Used to be a great place but in a rapid decline. Prices are hiked up recently and food quality is receding, no correlatuon for that. Used to go for margaritas every thursday, but now I just recieve a glass full of foam and strawberry syrup that isnt even mixed. Have discontinued my patronage.

Okay, so I ate here in 2014 and it was fantastic. Gave it 5 stars. I revisited again in Dec 2016, and it was not good... Flat beer, soggy food... I think maybe it could be hit or miss depending I whos working- or theyve gone downhill. But service is great!

I just had some Steak Tacos from there. They were real good, it took about 5 mins for them to make but they taste a lot better than taco bell etc...Give them a try, they are right across the street from the old soda shop in Old Towne.

Good location and atmosphere. Service is decent, always friendly smiles. Awesome selection of meats for tacos. Food isnt as cravable as the location and price, especially "Taco Tuesdays". I prefer to catch lunch here over dinner.

Probably the best Mexican in town. It loses a star because service goes down rapidly when they get busy. The Barbacoa is delish, and their flavors bring something to the table that most fare in this category lacks. A must stop.

This is the THE PLACE TO BE in Slidell. The food is tasty and affordable. The service is perfect and staff is great and full of personality. They have a great thing going here and I will back regularly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love the vibe, very hip. Open very late. We come with our young kids for late night fun. Food is very good, more ethnic than Tex Mex. The hand crafted tacos are great! Take a risk and try the lengua :)

Love this place! Best tacos and margaritas! And the Chile toriados, Wow,! Keep up the great food! Been working here a month and eat here 3 times + a week! Great place!
