It was awful. After having the wrong order delivered, We were sitting outside and hadnt even gone in and a waitress accused one of our group of stealing beer from an inside hallway. She refused to listen and called the police on our companion. She pulled him in a back room and refused to let him go. The police arrived and saw our receipt showing where we had paid for our drinks. The entire time the manager refused to speak with us and hid in the back when the police arrived. We were begging other wait staff to get the manager and look at the receipt and they all just ignored us. They were gathered in a circle giggling about the situation. It was embarrassing and frustrating. I was told by the manager the next day, only after Id called and spoken with three different people that we could come back and have a meal on the house, that the girl who had accused us had been fired and they wanted to apologize. When we went back exactly none of those things happened. So if you want to have the cops called on you, by all means go here and ask for Chrystal.

Yuck, the only word you need to describe this place. Mexican restaurants seem to have exploded on the Nortshore so there is no shortage of options and I would strongly encourage anyone looking for good Mexican food to avoid this place. The chicken is so saturated when you try to eat a hard or soft taco with it they fall apart, the quesadillas have so much cheese the flavor of whatever is in them in destroyed (and I generally find it hard to have to much cheese on anything) and the fajitas dont really have any taste but salt, pepper and oil, just bland. As to the drinks the margaritas taste like something that comes out of the pre-made bottles you would buy at the grocery store. This place has several locations .. Mandeville, Hammond, etc and Ive honestly never found any of them to be very good. Occasionally the rice, beans or salsa is decent but those are all inconsistent between the locations. I wouldnt say the worst Mexican Ive had but plenty of other better options in the area.

Walking in I thought I was going to love the place, the hostess seemed very nice...but then we got our waiter. First of all, the waiter didnt bother greeting us and just asked us what we wanted to drink. He got an attitude that we didnt know what we wanted to drink right away. Then, when he came with our drink he didnt bother to go around the table to give each person their drinks, we were a table of 10 people. He made us pass down the drinks to the people who were at the opposite side of were he was giving out the drinks. Second, every time we asked for something, his would answer with a attitude. For example, we asked about what kind of drinks they servedand he said "you know what other restaurants have..coke,Sprite, and ect..". I could go on and on about all the things that were wrong with our waiter experience, but Im sure people wouldnt read the review of it was that long. Point being food was good but our experience with the waiter was horrible!

We eat here often. Consistently great food and very friendly staff. The only negative I have which doesnt bother most and is a bit picky on my part is the parking. Most of the spots in the lot are just big enough for a large Harley not for monstrous SUVs. If you are lucky you can get an end spot or one that was mistakenly made larger than others. My resolution to this is to park in the Wal-Mart lot and stroll on in. This is especially true if you have a child to get out and are respectful enough to not hit other peoples rides.

Horrible experience!! YET AGAIN! The food had quality has gone down hill since the new management has taken over within the last year or so. The ceviche is good but not worth the effort. Was threatened by the "management" to be escorted off the property or arrested after complaining about the quality of the food. We have given the restaurant several chances but will NEVER go there again. And will tell anyone who wants to hear not to waste their time eating there.

Their Queso is great! Their margaritas are awesome! Service is friendly! If you get the Chicken Quesadilla, which is fantastic, make sure to get the grilled chicken and not the stewed chicken. There chips are served cold, literally pulled out of a trashcan. Ask for Wheat chips, they make them fresh every time! This place can be loud, but thats part of the atmosphere.

Excellent service for a quick bite at lunch. Outdoor open seating is great and the ambiance is very nice. Now for the food, I had the shrimp cocktail which is boiled shrimp immersed in a spicy tomato sauce with chunks of onion, avocado, and cilantro. Excellent healthy meal in a normally heavy food eatery.

We usually go to Garcias up the road but decided to give this place a try. Food was ok, not bad but just wasnt up to par with what I was hoping for. Service was ok as well, not bad but not great. Took longer to get a glass of water than a beer, same on refills.

I prefer the la carettas in mandeville, the waiter acted like he didnt want to give a second helping of chips and salsa. the portion size of the chimichanga was unacceptable, it was half the size I normally get other Mexican places. I ended up leaving hungry.

Love it. We needed something festive and warm when it got down into the 30s in March and this place looked good. Did not disappoint with tasty food and drink recipes and friendly service. It was weird that no one knew anything about March madness though...

1. Papis 2. La Carettas 3. Los Somberos Papis is the best IMO. Great chips, salsa/queso, margaritas, and the steak fajita tacos are amazing. Service has been great and good family atmosphere. Great lunch deals too.
