I just had breakfast there this morning. I took pictures of the place because it was my first time patronizing the place, and had come here to read the reviews beforehand. This is not a greasey grill, nor is this where you ought to go if youre worried about spending. I ordered the "Popeye Scramble" which had bacon, spinach mixed into the scramble, and melted cheese on it. The potatoes were cubed, and they tasted good. The scramble tasted fair. There was also a toasted muffin with a little cup of butter to the side, in case you wished to not do with the calories. I did. I also used the jam that was on the table in individual serving packets, but these were not the common fare youd find -- it was Dickensens brand -- and I found Pure Marion Blackberry, Pure Concorde Grape, and Pure Pacific Mountain Strawberry flavors. I also sampled their own brand of pepper sauce: Another Broken Eggs Pepper Sauce, by putting a dab on my spoon to taste, and THAT I would say could go. But you should know that this place is more for breakfast as a social occasion, to sit and enjoy with friends and good conversation. They even have a bar and serve wines and coffeed cocktails. I hope the pictures come through with this review. Take a look for yourself. If youre looking for value for your buck for breakfast, go to McDonalds which is right in front of Another Broken Egg, or go to some other greasy grill place. If youre discerning, willing to spend a little to be able to expect and demand attention, as well as enjoy a clean dining area, then this would suffice. My only possible reason to complain would be that I had to ask my waiter for more water. That came right away, as did my food order not long after Id ordered it. I gave it stars on all counts, but check it out for yourself. There is a menu online you can look at, and I just checked -- my pictures I uploaded are pending approval by Google before theyre posted. This cafe does not have paper napkins on the tables -- theyre cloth, so be fair in your expectations and assessment. I went there to treat myself, and it was a treat.

My husband I frequent here because we like the atmosphere and they have healthy eating options. There have been 3 times weve been pretty discouraged. 1) kale salmon salad had moldy, yellow kale. Rather than replacing the salad or asking if we wanted something different, they discounted the salad itself about 25%. 2) Left is waiting for 45 minutes, without serving/asking about drinks. We walked out thinking that was going to be our last visit. The manager called and offered us a free lunch. Which was nice but we had to starve till after work because our lunch hour had been burnt up and it took us 2 weeks to use because we live across town. 3) ordered a green fried tomato blt. Ate half of it and there was this gross black hair sticking out of the other half. Told the waitress. She took the plate away. Instead of replacing the sandwich, just briskly brought us our check and gave us our drinks for free but walked away still hungry after. Too hit-and-miss Im afraid for the cost. Hope this helps.

SOME (NOT ALL) WAIT STAFF RUINING BIZ HERE...Not only have we patronized this former stop along our travel route numerous times, but have also introduced countless new customers here---until recent. When our group visits its never for a quick bagel or coffee. Were always excited to try many different entrees and regularly spend $50 - $100+ each visit depending on # of guests we entertain. Yes, the wait can be a little lengthy at times, but weve never minded waiting, spending, or driving a bit extra for tasty food! However, our last stop will be just that until personnel changes are made w/some of the wait staff. Seems like the food was still good, but the only thing our party remembered was certain wait staff w/bad attitude. Their poor choice of words and actions in front of our guests and other customers was unfortunate and entirely set the tone for our groups experience there. We remain optimistic those issues will be resolved so that we might someday return.

Went to eat at just after 7am this morning at the location in Shreveport LA. I ordered the quiche of the day and they served me a slice of the same quiche that I ate the day before that looked like a dried up dog turd!!! I was informed by the waitress that if not all the quiche was served that day, they have 24 hrs to sell it which means reheating and serving it the next day. I would expect better from a restaurant like this. I wrote a detailed explanation on the back of my signed receipt to the manager. I assure you that I intend to let you and all my family and friends know to not trust your restaurant for freshness!!! This is disgusting and unacceptable, congratulations on running off a top customer who dines there enough that the staff knows my name!!!

My husband and I went to Another Broken Egg, and as soon as he started eating the sausage, he became very sick and threw up. We tried to tell the manager, but she was only concerned with whether she would charge us for his meal (which we didnt even ask about). We wanted her to know that there was something potentially wrong with the food they were serving. He was fine before he ate their food, and fine once it came right back up. The manager just said we were wrong and gave us back the upcharge for the upchuck sausage. We used to love Broken Egg, but we wont be back because they treated us like we were trying to steal a meal from them. It was not friendly or helpful at all.

Im new to the area and have only been to ABE twice. Each time Ive had the shrimp & grits and Ive had the City grits once. They are both good enough to make me want to slap somebody. The rest of the menu looks good but I may not go often enough to want to try anything else. The place is clean, ambience is nice and the staff is approachable and friendly. I will probably visit once a month on carb days as Im doing cyclical keto at the moment. I recommend that you try the Shrimp & Grits. They get five stars from me based on them alone. I want to go in the kitchen and ask how they are made so I can save gas money.

They have a nice selection with a southern flair - bananas fosters sauce, shrimp. You wont go hungry with all they give you. The pancakes have a nice consistency. I like that they offer turkey sausage in addition to the pork products. They also have a gluten free pancakes and lower calorie options. There are burgers and salads for those who want lunch instead of bunch. Its pricier than diner breakfast, but the environment is pleasant and the wait staff is nice and attentive. Good for a date or nice dress-up family brunch.

Just tried it for the first time despite the recent negative reviews, and let me tell you Im SO glad that we did! It was a Thursday morning about 8:30 am and they were moderately busy. All of the staff were extremely approachable and polite. Our service was extremely fast and the food was amazing! Theres something so enjoyable and relaxing about the atmosphere here, we will all definitely be back for more!!! Oh and the coffee cups- super unique. Loved it all.
