I am a veteran of coffee house culture, so when I moved away from my familiar haunt in St. Paul, I looked for something to replace it locally and Munkabeans is as close to that as I can imagine with better coffee and tasty breakfast items. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is eclectic and unpretentious. This is a perfect place to sit with a friend or two and have a decent conversation while loading up with caffeine in the spirit of beatniks, hipsters and idealist at heart that has been the hallmark of intellectual culture for hundreds of years. I dig.

Paying almost 30 bucks now for to large coffees with an extra shot and 2 burritos. Then watched them move my burritos back behind an order of 2 salads(took her 15 minutes to make those). I waited for 25 minutes for 2 damn burritos. If youre going to raise the price to where Im paying almost 7 dollars more you had better get faster employees. And yes i understand it takes longer to make the burritos, not the point. So in my opinion the price change alone will keep me from coming back unless they fix the issue

This place is my new favorite coffee shop. The staff is very friendly and they do great under pressure. On my second visit, I happened to walk in shortly after childrens birthday party. It was a very overwhelming situation for the amount of space available, but the staff kept their composure and got everyone through the line quickly and smoothly with only 2 people staffed at the time. Also the bagels are awesome! However they toast them, makes them super tasty... Soft with just the right amount of crunch!

I can sit in a comfortable chair and enjoy coffee or energy drinks. It is a responsible environment kind of place. Good temps in both Winter & Summer. The locale, downtown Hopkins is a walkable distance from home or as a stop off when I come from work on my way home. They used to have live music but I think some copyright enthusiasts stopped that. The help is friendly and the coffee, drink, food and treats are good and reasonably priced. I like it and the crowd is diverse. I will return.

My family and I have been customers of Munka for over 10 years. Been there threw all new owners and never once had a problem. Its sad to say we no longer give our business to a company that provides the type of staff it has today. I would highly recommend keeping small children away from this establishment until they start to regulate who they hire. Not a safe environment for small children.

I was there quite early, so I dont know if / when it gets crowded. The service was very pleasant, and the counter staff very personable. The ambience was peaceful, and there is interesting art on the walls, as well as seating facing the window to the street. The quiche I had for breakfast was perfectly adequate, and certainly a sufficient serving size, delivered with a smile.

Super cute shop on a super cute street! Love the option to sit outside in the front or the back! Cozy couches and a fun little chalkboard and book area for the kiddos are perfect so mom can relax for a few! Had a delicious lunch and spent a couple hours catching up with an old friend. Felt totally at home here! Friendly staff and fast service too! Great experience overall!

This place is by far one of my favorite coffee shops. I love their naked burrito and special K bars. One issue I have is when school lets out nearby it gets loud and obnoxious. I bring a headset to listen to music during that time, but sometimes it does not drain out the noise. I give 4 stars for the loud factor which unfortunately they may have no control over.

Average local coffee shop. I always try and buy at local shops, and usually the quality is a little better. Here, I had ok coffee that seemed like a watered-down dark roast. My fiancé had a latte that tasted a little off. I will likely give them another and hope that day was just a fluke, but if its not, very, very average coffee.

Nice little independent coffee shop. Better than average food with several great sandwiches and a variety of snacks, sweets, and ice cream. They have a small parking lot in back or on street parking on Main Street, can almost always find a spot on the block.

Thomas Vittoria is the new owner and he has brought Munkabeans back to its original glory plus the coffee is better than any Ive tasted. They are now baking all their sweets and sandwich breads in house, YUM!. The music is back too and it is awesome

I did not enjoy my experience here at all. The man behind the counter yelled at me for wanting milk in my coffee and proceed to bash another coffee shop as I was telling him I usually go there. I will never come here again.

Not really anyone else in there at the time and we had to wait 15 minutes for a bowl of soup and two sandwiches, they use the microwave to heat up their soups! What are we in a college dorm? The food was decent though.

One of my favorite spots! Great coffee, ice cream, sandwiches and pastries. EVERYTHING is homemade, bananna bread and scones are my favorites! The chicken salad sandwich is really yummy! I come here any chance I get.

Great coffee, great prices, nice chill funky atmosphere. The only down side: is it is small and the music can get loud. Not much to do about the size though, its the price for the super-duper Main Street location

This place is easily spotted off of Main Street in downtown Hopkins. Near the stage theatre and $3 movie cinema. The food here range from pastries, wraps, sandwiches, coffees, teas and other goodies.

Their broccoli soup is awesome. The broccoli is crisp and delicious, not mushy. Next to Dillys restaurant in Tempe, this is the best broccoli soup Ive ever had.

This is one of my daughters favorite coffee places to go to. She recommends the Hopkins mocha. The black coffee here is very strong and tasty.

We enjoyed Daves Daily Dose and a Mango smoothie. They have a variety of seating including couches. The toys were nice for our 2 year old.
