I went there for the first time this Friday... Good stuff first - seated in 10 minutes on a busy friday evening - wait staff is great - food time to table was not bad considering the place was full Bad stuff - old dirty office carpet..needs to go - whole place smelled bad - food was sub par... we got a half dozen grilled oysters...they tasted ok (chimes grilled oysters are wayy better). Oysters were small but they may just be running small this time year... we split the large fried seafood platter. Food was so oily the batter was falling off...fried catfish was mushy. I think they were trying to fry too much and cooled the oil (from experience)... Overall we likely will not be going back... not with the many better seafood options in our area like Orlandos to name one. That place is great! Hope yall find this review useful.

Crappie place. Was seated at a filthy table. The table skirt was sopping sticky wet with garbage. While seating the mess was spreading and seeping through my trousers from my knees to the top of my thighs. I asked the waitress for a bar towel. She halfway cleaned the skirt. I had to ask again for the bartowl and cleaned myself as best as possible. I then finished cleaning the skirt and then started on the table top. Then she asked if I wanted to change tables. The table was clean now, but we moved anyway. Eating Sunday dinner with nasty paints wasnt my idea of a good time. Cancelled my evening plans to return home and shower. Didnt even get a were sorry.

We were traveling through Louisiana from Oregon and wanted to try po boys. We found this restaurant based on reviews from other users and were excited to try it. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated immediately. We ordered and then had to wait for over 50 minutes to receive our food. I ordered the oyster and shrimp po boy and on the second bite pulled a piece of plastic from my mouth. Lost my appetite after that. Wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

Chargrilled oysters were really good. Also had roast beef po-boy that was delish. Others in my party had root beer floats for dessert and they were really yummy. I opted for banana foster cheesecake and was dissatisfied. If your going to offer a dessert synonymous with New Orleans you better not use frozen cheesecake, and at least attempt to throw a couple banana slices on the plate. A drizzle of caramel does not a bananas foster make.

In a word....exceptional...The food was outstanding, Jake Palmer (general manager) was better! His infectious charisma demanded attention and his savvy talk and savvier food acumen left not only my taste buds euphoric but also myself in general....The meal came only second to Palmer in the satisfaction stakes, to describe him...A triumph!....Palmer is an absolute triumph and I for sure will recommended to all that he must be endulged.

The original is one of the "go to" places for oysters in the NOLA area, this location serves the same good oysters that are expected in the Quarter, with a decent cup of gumbo or an oyster loaf to go with that almost always satisfies. The service is attentive and fast, and the idea that its a tourist attraction seems less evident than in the New Orleans locations.

I eat here once a month and believe me i wish it was more often. Great food and great staff, you really cant get better than that. Any time we have a friend visit who hasnt had southern cooking yet, we bring them here. They also have tvs with sports always on (not that i pay much attention to those) and they have really good mixed drinks.

The fried fish & shrimp platter is excellent. I did not post a photo because photos of fried platters basically look the same. But make no mistake, the fish is light and delicious as is the fried shrimp. Both served hot. Get Jennifer for your waitress and you will have a dining experience worth coming back for. #rawsome

Very convenient for killing a char-grilled oyster craving without having to fight the tourist masses in downtown. This location is great to take visiting family and friends to experience ACME. Provides all the menu items of the one downtown. I love the char-grilled oysters.

I eat at a lot of great southern restaurants.....this is not one of them. Their food is over priced for the portion sizes. And out of the several things I ate it was all just run of the muck. I liked my meal but there was nothing I would ever come back for.

Serena did a fantastic job! The food was delicious and great price/value. The manager was genuinely friendly and spent some time answering questions about the sauces. Even gave me some extra to take home. Will definitely stop in our next trip through.

The seafood platter was the bomb. But the raw oysters was not salty at all nor cold. But it is Friday night and they are busy. A few of the waitresses could use some training. Guess an ex waitress is the worst critic. Overall great but oyster not.

Wait staff was friendly and on top of everything. Food arrived quickly and was one of the best seafood platters I have had in a long time. Too much food to eat at once and had to take it home with me. Ate for for breakfast the next day.

The worst service ever. The server forgot our drinks twice. She went to refill one drink and was gone for 20 minutes, we looked around and saw her talking to what appeared to be friends at another table. Well never go there again.

Asked for a shrimp remoulade salad and the wait staff and chef looked at me like I had two heads. I was born and raised in New Orleans. Who of us has not heard of a remoulade salad. Very disappointed will never go back

The food was good! I got the Fried Half & Half Shimp and Fish. Dont be fooled by the proportion, there is a chuck of bread under everything. Waitress was a little slow, but not horribly. Over all... it was a good eat!

Visiting from out of town and was looking forward to eating here. Food was very disappointing, their batter was blend everything deep fry. I dont mind deep fry as long as its good. I recommend another restaurant.

As usual Acme Oyster House food was very good. One problem we did have was the char grilled oysters were overcome with parmesan cheese. No oyster taste. Great service, food came out in the correct order.

It is delicious thick gumbo like my Mama used to make. It will cure what ails you. You can get a cup of gumbo and a half-poor boy sandwich for about $10.00, and thats a full meal, folks.

Havent been back here since they switched from catfish to Swai. Wrong flavor, wrong texture, wrong aftertaste. I used to go here at least weekly for the fried catfish before the switch.

Service was prompt and friendly even an hour prior to close on the weekend. Food was good and nice portions only thing was it could have been hotter.
