Tuesday, April 22, 2015 Mandeville Seafood Market & Eatery (located at the old location of Petunia’s Restaurant). 2020 Highway 59, Mandeville, LA. As the name indicates, this is both a restaurant as well as a well-stocked seafood market. In addition to the regular fresh and frozen seafood items you might expect, they also carry turtle meat and (I’ve never seen this before) CRAWFISH SHELLS for those of you who would like to make your own crawfish bisque! They also carry a nice selection of giftware, cooking supplies, condiments, and cookbooks. And now for the food. We ordered the seafood platter. It was delicious and was sufficient to serve two. We also ordered boiled crawfish to go which was freshly boiled and perfectly seasoned. Both orders were reasonably priced. The Market The restaurant itself was clean and the staff was friendly. The food was served piping hot and in a timely manner. We’ll definitely visit Mandeville Seafood Market & Eatery the next time we’re in St. Tammany Parish.

My family and I ordered pick-up from Mandeville Seafood today (3/19). We ordered crawfish and a shrimp po-boy for my wife. The po-boy cost almost $10 and it had 7 shrimp on it. I called to complain because we actually ordered a large and got a small. I spoke to a manager who argued with me when I pointed out the lack of shrimp on the po-boy. She told me that "every seafood restaurant does that" and didnt seem to care about my feedback. I pointed to several other restaurants in the area that have much better po-boys...Rusty Pelican, St. Roch, Pontchartrain Po-boys, Acme Oyster House, New Orleans Hamburg and Seafood, etc.. Ive been a long time customer of Mandeville Seafood, however based on feedback from other friends and my personal experience from today, there are much better options. I believe they have lost their focus on customer sanctification.

Its been three weeks since we were here. Very happy with the look and ambiance of the place. Food is ordered at a window, take a number and they bring your plate out to you. The staff was friendly and inviting. I had the seafood gumbo with half a shrimp poboy and my wife had the other half with onion rings. The poboy was full and seasoned well as were the onion rings. The best part for me was the gumbo. Its been a challenge finding a good seafood restaurant since we have moved to the north shore as I grew up in Metairie but this is pretty close.

The people that work there are jerks. I took my mother to eat there for her birthday and she wanted more cornfritters since they only put one in her seafood basket. I asked the lady working at the counter if I could buy a seperate order of them for her and she said she would bring out more for free because they forgot to add more to the initial basket. The waitress brings out a large basket with ONE very small cornfritter in it lol. Needless to say, I wont be going back to Mandeville Seafood.

My wife and I ordered take out tonight. I had a cat fish platter and she had boiled crawfish. First the catfish was by far the worse thing Ive ever eaten. To say it was bland would be an understatement. The food was so bad its not even social media worthy. The crawfish was also bland. Wed done better getting it from a supermarket rather than a "seafood" place where we expected the quality to be much better. We didnt eat it. It went in the trash. Eric J. Downey

Hit or miss, at best. I only gave it 2 stars because you cant beat the family box deal and the staff on the eatery side are mostly young hard workers. Weve used the seafood side for years and have been relatively happy despite the inflated prices and miserable staff. More recently theyve been selling junk live seafood which is unacceptable. Im going elsewhere for my live seafood.

I have to stop by here before I head back to Dallas.. The restaurant side has everything you may want right now, and the fresh seafood side has everything you may need to cook up some yummy cajun cuisine later! Everything you can imagine and more! Try the Crawfish pies in the frozen section.. Soooooooooo Good!

We love the market and the restaurant. Good crawfish, great seafood platter. We have always received good customer service. We usually go in there for a few pounds of fish and about 5 or 6 pounds of wild shrimp. We have never had any issues with the seafood from the market. Seems fresh. And we love to cook!

Roast beef poboy was very good. Stuffed crab poboy was OK. Shrimp that was on the poboy could have been cooked a little more. The boiled crawfish had no taste. Seems like they could have soaked a little more. They were very busy. So they could have rushed a little. Will come back.

Beware! Their crawfish are dirty. They obviously do not purge them properly. Pretty gross! Also, very rude. There is a lady there with the worst attitude ever. Its really a shame!!! Plus, they are ripping people off with some of available products such as lemon oil.

Great fresh seafood as well as fried seafood. Always pretty busy and can get very packed around lunch time which causes a bit of a wait for seating but its well worth the wait. The gumbo is delicious as well as the cheesy crawfish bread for an app.

If you like fried seafood, this is a place you will want to go. Everything on the seafood platter was pretty good except for the oysters. Im not all that fond of oysters though, so other people would probably like them just fine.

I ordered a shrimp/oyster poboy to go. In and out in a resource able time. Poboy was great. Also got the Seafood Gumbo and Chicken and Duck sausage for later. Dinner for later in the week. Will update once I try it.

Great fresh/cooked/boiled seafood. Po-boys rival anything from across the lake, boiled seafood has great flavor, and you can dine in and watch the game if you want. You can also pick up fresh seafood to cook at home.

Awesome, fresh seafood at the market and the restaurant. We have never had a bad experience and are here for the market, restaurant or both every week for the past 6 months. The staff are just as great!

Good quality seafood, cooked well. Very friendly staff. Air conditioning was set a bit cool, so bring a jacket because they are Wirth a visit. Can also get fresh/frozen seafood to prepare at home.
