Im giving this place a 4 star rating because we loved our waitress, TK! She made our first experience a wonderful one! We were a little put out at first because we were told itd be a few minutes for our table (we were fine with that), but when we sat at the bar in front of the bartender he never greeted us nor gave us eye contact. He was more concerned with his ice cream drink and who was walking into the restaurant. Another bartender came over, was not friendly, seemed irritated, and miscalculated our change for our 2 drinks. My husband gave her a $50 bill and she gave us change for a $20. No apology at all for the mistake. Thank goodness our experience went up from there at dinner! There are a lot of supper clubs out there, not sure if well be back to this one.

Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Norwood Pines. Food was great, waitress was fast & personable, and the place itself is awesome. The downfall of our experience was the bartender. He seemed totally pissed to be there. I ordered a few drinks, and he never said a word. No "thanks", nothing. I paid by credit card, and he practically threw my card back at me, then sulked away. Strangely, he seemed to talk to other people who appeared to be "regulars", but I guess we just havent earned his respect yet. Yes, they were busy, but still, a smile or a thanks makes a big difference. Even so, the rest of the experience made up for him, and well go back next time we are in the area.

We had a 6:00 reservation on a Monday night. We were seated immediately and then didnt see a waitress for at least 20 minutes. No relish tray until an hour after seating and after we requested it. Our soup was cold when it was finally delivered. Our waitress came to apologize and said the food was almost ready - after which we STILL waited 15 minutes. Our food finally arrived 1 hour 40 minutes after we sat down. The food was mediocre at best. Even after comping our appetizers we still paid an absurd amount For one of THE WORST restaurant experiences of my life. There are plenty of other places to eat in Minocqua, dont waste your entire evening here.

This place is so north woods charming that we decided to have our daughters wedding reception here. The owners, John and Tom, overwhelmed us with their hospitality. They were so accommodating to us. We have a place locally but did all our planning from the Chicago area. They even took care of some cultural dishes we had catered. The appetizers were outstanding, followed by a delicious dinner. All our guest complimented the food. They made our daughters reception a very memorable night for all. We will definitely return. I highly recommend a visit. Thanks, Mike & Donna Rahul & Melissa

90 minute wait before food came out and no effort to bring childs food earlier than the rest. Good thing we packed a fruit cup ourselves. Drink orders also took a long time. Better order two up front because itll take that long before you get a refill. No apology or explanation offered. Acted like that was normal despite plenty of bustling activity by serving staff. Once it arrived the food was good, but the service and wait time need major improvement.

My family had a tradition of coming here. Despite the years of patronage, the hostess sat my mother and I in the closet. The table wasnt even big enough for two people. There were other open tables. It was just such an insult to be stuck in the corner. We always spent well over $100 for two people. How can they treat us like that? I am so upset....its hard to change tradition, but we deserve better service for our money!!!

WONDERFUL!!! We ate there tonight and it was the best meal we have had in a long time. We both highly recommend this restaurant. We had the beer-batter walleye and a 6 oz filet. Both were delicious! The extras were good also. Nice atmosphere. The after dinner grasshoppers are HUGE, made with ice cream and delicious!. I recommend them.....be sure to save room.

Been to many supper clubs near Minoqua and this is our favorite. A little pricier than other diner options in town but the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the scenery around the restaurant are worth it. Look at spending around 20-30 per entree. And if youre vegetarian the homemade marinara is legit.

Great steaks and prime rib. The ribs are not incredible but not bad either. Gr eat Northwoods atmosphere and they give you a good amount of extras along with your main dish. I have eaten here five seperate times and have never walked away disappointed.
