Smelled like a dirty ashtray, as soon as you walked in. We chose to carry out because there was no way I was going to be able to breathe if we stayed. The food was ok, nothing spectacular as other reviews said. I had the Barbeque sandwich, husband had the patty melt. The pork on my sandwich was super tough and dry. That was so disappointing! You would think a restaurant named after a pig would have their pork be the crowned jewel of their menu. This had to be leftovers from last week. Husband said the patty melt was not worth the $7.99. The coleslaw was not good at all, it was trashed. I really am disappointed in this restaurant. It is convenient location for us, we are only a few minutes away. I doubt we go back, mainly because it smelled so terrible and the food wasnt worth changing clothes as soon as we got home, as WE stunk like an ashtray!

If not for asking the park ranger at Mammoth Cave, we would have driven right past this place. It seems like a family-owned diner and everyone was super friendly to us. The food was great (definitely went up more than a few times to the buffet). They treated us like family. If youre looking for some southern-style homemade comfort foods, stop in at Porky Pig Diner. Oh, and make sure to grab a brownie to go....Delicious! Visited March 2015

I always go to the Porky Pig Diner after Ive been hiking in Mammoth Cave National Park and its ALWAYS great!!! I eat breakfast which is buffet style and Ive never been let down. The service is great and very friendly and its always clean. I would suggest the chocolate gravy! It sounds weird, but its good. If youre ever passing by I would definitely suggest you try it out!

Can be hard to locate but well worth it. The restaurant is not located in Smiths Grove. Instead, Google this: Pig Kentucky. Its at the intersection of 422 and 259. Specialties are a pulled pork sandwich and fried (boneless) catfish. Good service, friendly people, price okay.

Catfish with lighter than air batter was amazing. You cant beat the pulled pork, of course. I also loved seeing the shelves and shelves of " pigureens". The staff Knicks you down with charm. Were so glad we took the back roads to get here.

The owner/cook was smoking... which is crazy to us who live in non-smoking states. I hate smoke so that pretty much ruined the experience. Food was good enough.
