With a come as you go policy youll feel right at home. You get your own key to lock up the place as you come and go. We arrived earlier than check in due to an unkown time difference and were accommodated. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners of the surrounding areas. Eateries are around, but scarce so they provide a made to order menu which is quite reasonable. Breakfast was great and family style. You sit with other guests and enjoy coffee, milk, or orange juice to go with eggs, bacon, waffles and fresh fruit. The place has a great personality to it, unlike your conventional hotels that are pretty much cookie cutter. Enjoyed the stay very much so.

My fiance and I stayed here this past weekend. We had a great experience with the friendly staff. Breakfasts were delicious! We also really enjoyed the aspect of everyone staying there eating together and sharing stories from their travels. The hotel is very close to Mammoth Cave Park. So if you are making plans to visit parks this would be a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it! If you are looking to do anything else you might have to travel a bit. We went into Nashville and it was about a 1 hour and 15 min trip to downtown Nashville. Check in and Check out was a breeze as well! I highly recommend this place!

Stayed one night before going to Mammoth Cave for a tour. The hotel has been renovated beautifully and appropriately for the age of the house. Owners are very nice and are passionate about their business. Breakfast served family style in large dining room with other guests. Location is easy to find and the room (Renfroe) was definitely large enough for two. Bathroom in room was great. There are trains, as the hotel is close to the tracks, but it did not bother us while we slept. We are happy we stayed there!

Lovely place and owners! Karen accommodated our early departure time (8am) with fresh fruit, oatmeal and coffee. The rooms and all of the inn itself are decorated beautifully and according to the era. Very comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom. The only downside, which Karen and cant control, was the train that is about 40 yards from the front of the inn, which I think runs every two hours all throughout the night. You may consider bringing earplugs if youre even a slightly heavy sleeper.

The place is good and friendly but the location has nothing around. Every restaurant or pharmacy is a drive of atleast 5-10 miles. The rooms at the inn are good. The inn lacks some pretty basic amenities like refrigerator or microwave. Definitely get a rear facing room, since the railways go by pretty frequently all day and bothered me at night. Overall, the place is very personal, its fun to have breakfast with the other guests and meet different people. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our nights stay. The Grand Victorian is like a museum. We had fun checking out the antique decor. Our room was newly renovated and very comfortable. Breakfast was served to all guests family style and included scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, orange juice, and coffee. The area around it is very quiet. It backs up to a cow pasture and a park pavilion. There is a railroad running right in front of it, but we only heard a train pass once while we were there.

Like home away from home! We enjoyed our visit to the park and didnt have to worry where to eat when we were done for the day. Great breakfast each morning and they have a restaurant available on-site for lunch and dinner. Just the right amount of privacy with many antiques and history to explore but if conversation is what you want, there always seemed to be someone around with local information.

This B&B was absolutely gorgeous! The hosts were great and beyond accommodating when we arrived later than expected. Breakfast was also great. Truly the only complaint I have is that we didnt get much sleep due to the train less than 100 yards away. The train went by practically every hour during the night and blew its horn every time!

My husband, Robert, stayed here and just cant stop talking about how very impressed he was with the owners renovations of this vintage hotel. It was extremely welcoming, clean and charming. The breakfast was very good!! He cantt wait to take me there when he goes back to visit his friend, Michael Wright, in Cave City.

Charming old-style bed and breakfast! The owners are friendly and love what they do. In a very small town with the only attraction (other than beautiful rolling hills along backroads) being Mammoth Caves National Park. Next time Im visiting MCNP Ill be sure to book a room at the Grand Victorian Inn

Our place to take a relaxing step back in time when we go to Mammoth Cave. Elegant, historical bed and breakfast. The owners and staff are very nice people. Delicious home-style breakfast! A charming, peaceful place to be, and I very much recommend it. Well be back! :)

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful, the inn itself is charming, and Gary and Karin are great. Mammoth Cave is nearby, and it was nice to explore the park for the day and then come back to a nice room. I would recommend it!

Avoid This hotel at all cost. If you do not believe me just stay here. If you like a hot room, poor food, absentee managers, and loud trains that keep you up all night this place is for you. Honestly not the place to stay

The room was cute and cozy, this inn itself was charming, and the breakfast was amazing! Best pancakes Ive ever had. This is a great place to stay if you want a more personal, unique experience than a chain hotel.

Did not stay there, but bike ride took me there from Mammoth Cave, Diamond Caves nearby. There is an Interesting ruins of pre-civil war hotel next door to the Grand Victorian.

The Inn is beautiful. The food in the restaurant was very good. The portions were big. We are train people, so having the train tracks just out the front door was wonderful.

Consider first where you are, it beats any commercial chain based on charm and authenticity. Highly recommended for a bed and breakfast.

Beautiful place, good food and fun to watch the trains pass. Train will wake you up once or twice during the night, but its worth it.
