Can I give NEGATIVE stars?!?!? To start off, I dont blame this on the waitress. It looked like she had the entire restaurant to herself, so I dont blame her for the piss poor service. After waiting much longer than it takes to dish out stale pot roast and cook tasteless scrambled eggs, our food came out with the exception of my sisters pancakes and bacon (her entire meal). After 15 minutes of waiting, the manager and our waitress FINALLY realized we were still missing pancakes. We were told they went to the wrong table, which I doubt. This might have been excusable had the pancakes they brought us been good. However, after waiting 20 minutes, the center of all her pancakes were RAW. Dripping pancake batter in the plate RAW! Im pretty sure my 5-year-old nephew could do better. Not only did we have to ASK for a replacement order, which took another 15 minutes, but my sister found an egg shell in her order when we got home! Had I known this at the time, we would have simply walked out and I would have told the staff to screw themselves! On top of all this, and getting such a "discount" because of THEIR screw ups, we still had to pay almost $30 for 3 adults and one childs meal. Ridiculous! On the way home, we relaized we had been in the restaurant for 2 hours! Two hours of my life Im never getting back! This was the single worst experience I have ever had a restaurant. The only reason they get one star is because I cant give them less. Please, do not eat here if you expect to have a decent meal! Culvers next door is a MUCH wiser choice!

Good to have more choices in the Simpsonville / Shelbyville area. Wait staff were very nice and place was clean but dinner choices were a bit limited. Wife had a burger with fries and I had the potato crusted flounder with broccoli. Wifes burger was okay with decent flavor, but appeared to be a frozen patty, not handmade. Fries were good. She really liked the sauce that was optional. Nothing spectacular. Thought it was a little overpriced considering you can get a fantastic burger at Red Robin for the same price along with all you can eat fries. My flounder was moist with a semi-crispy texture and had a mild flavor, but I could tell it had come from the freezer, not from a freshly battered filet. Broccoli was also frozen and a little overcooked. We also got some of the cherry bread from the bakery which was tasty. Very fluffy and moist (almost too moist), but had a very good flavor. More like cake. We considered purchasing a loaf to take home from the bakery in the front of the restaurant. Its nice to have a "sit down" restaurant close to the Outlet Mall. The building looks very small, but once inside it has several tables, so dont let the outside looks fool you. Bob Evans is known for their breakfast, which you can get all day long, so if youre in the mood for breakfast fare for dinner, then Bob Evans will be right up your alley. All in all, I give it 3 of 5 stars for having decent food, great service, good baked goods, and good location. Thanks Bob Evans for coming to Shelby County!

I was craving some yummy blueberry french toast so I stopped by on my way home from work. Took almost 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and take my order. Then a new employer with an awful attitude did not know how to place a to go order. She constantly had to ask someone from the kitchen to help her. She was frustrated and finally after placing my order she takes a brake and 15 minutes later I am still waiting for my order until someone from the Kitchen steps out and asks If I had been helped. Apparently my order was just sitting around waiting for someone to prep to go. They are low staff and need to improve their customer service. Also the temperature inside was way too cold, many customers were trying to warm up.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way back home to Chicago from Tennessee. We ordered coffee. For whatever reason table only had french vanilla and hazelnut creamer, substitute sugar. So when our coffe came I asked for regular sugar and regular cream. I watched our waiter bring a tables food out, cleaned a table and take another partys order. She brings our food out, still no cream or sugar. 12 minutes for cream and sugar. Brioche french toast was gross. Slice of apple pie to go had strawberry or cherry filling all over it. First time at Bobs and probably last. No tip left for poor service.

We arrived around 10 am on a Thursday while traveling through Kentucky. The restaurant was not busy. It looked clean. We were promptly seated and anxiously anticipated ordering and receiving our meal. We saw a few servers milling about however no one acknowledged us for at least 10 minutes. Maybe we should have made a greater attempt in getting someones attention, but instead we got up and left. Still without any acknowledgement. This is not typical of our visits to other Bob Evans restaurants. Maybe it was a lack of communication between the hostess and the wait staff?

Carry out service was standard. Cashier seemed new or lacked register experience. Upon arriving home, Chicken that was ordered crispy was grilled, salad had no dressing after a 2 minute conversation about the flavor of that same dressing. But the whole reason for the visit was the food, which was GREAT. I wont let sub par service that could be excused due to lack of training and/or experience deter me from returning again.

(Simpsonville KY - Jan 4, 2016) )Great place to eat. Easy to get to from the exit. Patty G. was our server for breakfast, about 7:45AM. Food was great (blueberry crepes for wife and eggs, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy for me). Patty G. did a great job serving us, keeping us in coffee, and checking back with us for our needs. Restrooms were very clean, no offensive smells. We HIGHLY recommend this location.

Five minute wait ended up being 25 minute wait. Food tasted fake. Tough bun on cheeseburger....100 percent beef tasted like soy....french fries tasted like paper. Never ever thought McDonalds food could taste better than a sit down restaurant food.....but we should have gone to McDonalds. Waste of time and money.

Ive been to this Bob Evans three times. The food is good just like any other Bob Evans, but dont come here if you like to drink much while you eat. They take forever to get refills.

The food is always good, you can give them that, but their service is so unorganized. Half the seating could be empty and theyd still have a line out the door.

The food was ok and the service was not very consistent. For the price that is not a great combination. Will go next door for food next time.
