I was really excited to come here! I got the Groupon and came on over. Come to find out, there is no service here. The host reeked of sweat like he just ran a marathon. And the only waitress didnt seem to understand that she had to communicate with us. The most we got out of her was that it was her "first day back" and that "the chef is old and slow". I wouldve given Mikato two stars for good food but it took 50 minutes to make a single order of beef fried rice. Im seriously not exaggerating, fifty minutes! This place is a bad gamble. If you want good sushi served by a human, go to Rikishi down the street.

Stop in for lunch with my wife, she had scallops and I had the salmon in which both came with vegetables, rice, and soup or salad.....now all though the salmon and scallops where fair the vegetables where not, they where very mushy, the rice was extremely bland....and for the soup and salad, well it didnt matter which one you ordered they brought you what ever they wanted to, the service was so pour they could not even get the drink right....this place is by far not the best place to eat, I would not and will not recommended this spot to any one........

Food are pretty good. Comparing to other sushi place in town (Crestwood/LaGrange area), its not the best but not worse either. Its not as good as Rikishi and the portion are much smaller, but the price are lower. This is better than Raw in LaGrange though. If you go in for lunch, this is a place for only a couple of people and not a big group. With 4 people youll be waiting about 40 minutes to get your food. Overall I would recommend this place as an alternative if Rikishi is not open.

The Mikato Steak and Sushi Restaurant in Crestwood is an awesome dining experience. They serve great food and along with very friendly and attentive service and a charming atmosphere it made our dining experience there very enjoyable. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fine Japanese steak, sushi and seafood and a great dining atmosphere to try this restaurant. They also provide carry out too.

The food is excellent, but we will never return. The service is the worst Ive ever experienced. We waited an hour for our food and each persons meal was delivered 10 minutes before the next, my two kids being the last to get served. There were only 4 or 5 other parties in the restaurant. If they could get their act together, it could be a great place.

Food was really good, but it was so sloooooow! We order rolls and ordered from the menu for our kids. We got our rolls in a reasonable amount of time, but there was only 10 people in the place and we had to change our kids meal to a to go order. I cant imagine what it would have been like if it was busy.

Easily the best sushi in Louisville and better than anything I have found in Lexington or Columbus. Expect to spend $7-10 per roll, and each person will need around 1 1/2 rolls to be full. I always order something of the chefs choice, and Ive never been disappointed. I cant recommend this place enough!

Always fresh sushi, and never takes too long to come out. Customer service is beyond excellent - the sushi chef always interacts with our toddler and even brings him treats (chocolate/strawberry milk, yum!) We drive 35 minutes one way to come here and its always worth it!

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. I only had sushi so I cannot comment on the hot kitchen but the sushi was decent. The hamachi didnt taste the best but the salmon and nigiri were very good.

This is a new favorite spot for my partner and I - we always use the $17 Groupon for dinner. Great sushi and the staff is very friendly. Dont spend the extra $4 for soup and salad, though - not worth it.
