I went there with a large group of coworkers at lunch. The service has been fantastic and quick everytime weve gone. The servers have always been really nice and helpful with any questions and the staff has been really accomodating when you need to alter the dish for specific dietary needs or preferences. This is a great place for lunch during work. The food has been fantastic everytime. Ive tried a chicken soup which was fantastic and burritos that were so delicious and flavorful. The portion sizes are great too. Plenty to eat but not so much that you are going to have a doggie bag. This place is decently priced and worth the money you will spend. This place has been put in my regular rotation of restaurants that I go to for lunch.

Our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the East End of Louisville! The food is slightly different than the normal Mexican fare you find elsewhere and the portions are huge. The only thing that kept them from receiving five stars from me is the menu doesnt have as many options as I would prefer. The staff are amazingly friendly and exceed normal service. Please give El Rio Grande a shot, you wont leave disappointed.

Went Saturday evening about 6pm. It wasnt busy and much of the staff was just standing around. There were about 10 other tables with people. Service started off quickly bringing out chips and salsa, but we waited about 20 minutes to place our orders. Food was delivered promptly and was tasty, however the beer on draft was flat. We waited another 15 minutes to get our checks and didnt see our server.

Food was amazing and the prices where nice the only complaint was the service. Its kinda a 50 50 cause half the staff was super nice and helpful. However there was like 2 or 3 who made it clear they didnt want to be there the night we went. Unfortunatly we got one of these waiters and she was rolling her eyes everytime we ask for something like more drinks. Over all I would say give it a try.

Ate there for lunch.. food was great however the service was horrible... no drink refills until the end of our lunch.. and waitress had an attitude as if she didnt want to be there.. no smile.. made it a bad experience for my self and family..will never eat there again...

Very welcoming, great food, great drink specials until 7:00pm. Always friendly and accommodating for our big groups. We have sat in the bar and been treated well as well as pushed many tables together in the dining room. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Really good! Fair prices, pleasant staff, we were there later on a Sunday Night, and place was pretty quiet. One warning - the portions were huge! We took several "take-out" boxes, and it became a 2nd dinner the next day! Enjoyed it!

Great service. Large seating area. The food was good but over salted. Two issues: I could smell air freshener as soon as I walked in and while eating. The salsa and fajita were very salty. Will be back!
