This location is closest to us so we favor it but the quality of service is poor so we are forced to choose a different location. Three times in a row, our carryout order was incorrect and overcharged but I did my best to overlook it based on the language barrier. On the 4th incorrect order and overcharge, I called to complain and was told that a gift certificate would be waiting for me at the front desk. It was not there a couple weeks later when I had the chance to go back and was told a manager would call me. That hasnt happened either. I will not be a patron to this location anymore and might find another favorite Mexican restaurant.

There are quite a few El Nopals in Louisville. This particular one is the most convenient for me. Every El Nopal I have been to has consistently quick and friendly service. They seem to keep the same servers for a long time; I hope this means they treat their staff well! The food is fantastic, and I recommend the Chili Lime Tilapia if you are looking for something a little different than typical Mexican dishes.

My wife and I drive past several similar style Mexican places (including another El Nopal) to visit this one 2–4 times a month. The staff is friendly, and unless they are getting slammed, your food and drinks arrive quickly. (Once we had our server apologize for the delay when it had only been 10 minutes after wed ordered.) Sure, this may not be "authentic Mexican", but the food is always fresh and tasty.

Looking for a Mexican restaurant close to where we were staying - reviews looked good, so went for it. Did not disappoint. Server was great; food was very good with an ample serving size. The only drawback was they were out of Pacifico.

People this is not Mexican food. Have you ever eaten in Texas, Arizona, California and its not just El Nopal, every Louisville tex mex is the same. Its weird cause we have a thriving Mexican/American community?

Yall, the food is great, no doubt. But when I call in and you tell me 10 mins, Im grouchy when it takes 50. Im ok with a +/-10 buffer, but 50 means you pretty much forgot. Twice. No bueno.

Typical local Mexican variety. Local chain with locations all over town. Food and service are acceptable. Nothing overly special.
