Ive never eaten in the restaurant, only gotten carry out several times. But, oh, what a great place. I have high expectations for Mexican, one of my favorite cuisines. This place is awesome, and whenever Im in New Castle I start dreaming about what Ill eat here. Ive traveled quite a bit in Southern Indiana and Kentucky/Tennessee. Always look at yelp and Google reviews for good places. There are a lot of deluded people down south who think theyre eating good Mexican, cause every place Ive tried thats over 4 stars has bland food thats floating in a cheese pool. No thank you. However, El Chile Poblano deserves its ratings. Ive had burritos, enchiladas and nachos from both locations in New Castle. Quick service, well packaged and absolutely delicious. Ive had people tell me to try Los Amigos as well, but I cant bring myself to do it. This place will be getting all of my business.

When my family & I first moved here we ate at Los Amigos & we were greatly disappointed as it was the typical, run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant you can find pretty much anywhere. THEN, we found El Chile Poblano & could not believe there was such an incredible Mexican restaurant with authentic food & drinks (like horchata) right here in a small town in the middle of Indiana of all places. I have lived all over the country, including Florida AND Texas, and this restaurant sits among the best of the countless Mexican restaurants where I have eaten.

Really good Mexican food right in the middle of the American heartland! Best tomales Ive ever eaten, generous portions, fabulous sauces, so happy that inclement weather forced us off the interstate and into this restaurant. Too bad Ill have to sleep off my early dinner instead of hitting the road again!

Enough food in the Texas fajita for 3 people. No kidding. Full service bar is top notch. Quality and quantity of food far exceeds that of other eateries in New Castle. The service is quick and the food is exactly as ordered, no matter how picky one is. LOVE IT!!!!!!

El Chile is the best Mexican Restaurant in New castle! Great food served quickly in a large portion size. The staff are kind and helpful. The building is kept clean and the Hispanic decorations help provide a wonderful atmosphere. You cannot go wrong with El Chile!

Great customer service and the food hit the spot. We walked in at 7:30 on Christmas Eve night, their sign said they closed at 8. They were so amazing as they sat our table of FOURTEEN and happily did so. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to the entire staff.

We shared a single order of frajitas. It was too much for the both of us. The food and salsa were great, chips and service above average. Visiting here from Utah for 5 days. Ill eat here again before I leave Indiana.
