I stayed at a hotel nearby and was feeling like Mexican. I get seated at the bar and served a beer. Then i wait. And wait. After twenty minutes of not being served i get up and ask the front to get my check. I pull out a five for my miller light and the waiter asks if i want change. Heck yeah i want change. He doesnt bring me a check and says the bill is $2.99 and i give him my five and he digs into his money pouch on his waste and gives me $2 and asks if its ok if i dont get the penny. So in a nutshell a pretty terrible experience lol. Maybe its better when they are really busy, but based on my experience i would not recommend this place. However i had a great experience at Ocharleys next door.

My husband and I came here for lunch and he ordered the Bracero Salad. Which was merely a salad at all. It was a pinch of lettuce with dry chicken drenched in sauce. Not at all what the menu explained it would be. When my husband asked the waiter for more lettuce for the salad, instead of being a complete jerk, the waiter brought him shredded lettuce for tacos. Not at all what he wanted. I, on the other hand, ordered enchiladas (chicken and bean) yet again the chicken was dry, the beans had hard places and it was just not enjoyable at all. Not to mention the waiter barely checked on us and wasnt very personable.

El Bracero has become one of my favorite places to eat in Hopkinsville. I have had nothing but good experiences there. The food has always been good, hot, fresh and brought to the table very quickly. The servers can come across to some people as being "unfriendly" because they wont stand at your table making conversation (trying to get a bigger tip) as in some restaurants. Instead they are more concerned with getting your food out to you. I have always gotten great service and their prices are reasonable.

Food was average & service was lacking. First, a "tiny" bowl of salsa was served with the chips. Second, our Waiter failed twice to respond to requests for more salsa & napkins. Another employee failed to respond to the request as well. It appeared that our Waiter was too interested in chatting with a co-worker & watching a baseball game. My temper was hotter than a jalapeño when I complained to the Mgr. Despite our disappointment, I left my regular tip of 20%.

The waiter was so RUDE. NEVER WILL I GO BACK THERE. FOR SOMEONE TO PUT A MENU IN YOUR FACE AND ASK IF YOU CAN READ ENGLISH BECAUSE SHE DIDNT KNOW SOMETHING CAME ON THE ORDER SHE DIDNT WANT. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED IN THE SPOT. IF YOU COMING FOR THE ECLIPSE I WOULDNT RECOMMEND YOU GO THERE.

I ordered the lunch #5 plus a tamale on the side. I must say the food was excellent and the price cannot be beaten. Im surprised to find this gem tucked away in a corner Kentucky town like hopkinsville. Id give a sixth star for having great food outside of highly urbanized areas. That is rare.

Its clean and the food is really good from beginning to end! Even their salsa is yummy! A lot of places Ive been to around here the salsa tastes like tomotato juice..no flavor. My only " complaint" is the servers arent very friendly. They do there job but, they dont seem to care muvh

I ordered water and it tasted like it had soap in it. The chicken was dry and partially burned and the salsa tasted more like tomato paste. The service was awful, we were checked on maybe once. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone and well never be back.

The food and everything was good until I found two hairs in my burrito. Im a certified ServSafe Food Sanitation Manager and this is completely unacceptable. If this is indicative of their sanitation practices my family will NOT be eating there again.

Loved the salsa. My meal came out quickly, and was delicious. The service was... well, just functional. Never a smile or friendly tone. Maybe it was just my server this evening, off maybe it us always this way. I would come back for the food, though.

Wish I got cheese sauce w my Togo order... came with the meal... chips and salsa didnt but that was in the bag... get the stuff thats paid for before you pack the extras... amateur hour for sure cant even eat the entree but I have chips and salsa...

food is good but typical of mexican food in this area... lots of cheese sauce (which i dont like) but they have good salsa and thin crispy chips. the pineapple chicken sandwich is excellent. mexican type food is ok but not authentic.

The food was under seasoned, my chicken enchiladas were dry. The margaritas was pre-mixed and tasted like the strawberry bucket margaritas mix. It was sub-par food, the staff was okay, and the food was delivered quickly.

Not the kind of Mexican food Im used to from Arizona but the food is good and the service is the best in Hoptown. I rarely have to wait longer than 10 mins for food and the waiters are always super attentive and friendly.

Third visit passing through on roadtrip. Food excellent all three times. Service worst each subsequent time to the point probably will not come back. Completely ignored by waiter except taking order and getting bill.

This place is hit or miss. Sometimes awesome sometimes terrible. The servers all seem rushed and when they are busy they may burn your food. Chips and salsa are good and the beer is cold and is served quickly.

The food here is great! The Bracero Bowl With The Roasted Corn (topped with mayo & parmesan cheese) is really fantastic! I could make chunky Guacemole my main meal. I just have them leave the jalapenos off.

One of the only sit down places in down you could be in and out in 30 minutes because they are so fast! Everything here is good! Just make sure if you get sweet tea to track down your server for refills.

El Bracero is part of my homecoming everytime! They are extremedy friendly and welcoming. The food is great, and service is fast! The portions are always large, so expect to have something to take home!

I think this may be the best Mexican restaurant weve ever been to. Everything is very fresh and delicious. The salsa is amazing. Im not sure of the name of what I had but OMGOODNESS!
