Hands down the best BBQ joint Ive ever been to, and Ive been to a lot. Their pulled turkey sandwhich, baked beans, and potato salad are the best. Now, I have to tell you about the fries, the fries are these perfectly golden and crispy morsels that put fast food fries to shame. The Carolina twang sauce mixed with their sweet BBQ sauce is amazing not only on the meat but also on the fries. The place has really nice outdoor seating, smoker and nonsmoker friendly and a really cool atmosphere. Staxx is technically fast food (and let me tell you their service is fast), but the dining area is so nice and the food so good it actually feels more like an actual sit down restaurant. Their prices are on the pricey side for fast food, but on the cheap side for a sit down restaurant. I kid you not, I would eat there everyday if I could afford it both in the bank and in the hips.

Was greeted at the drive thru with "We cant take any more orders right now" hardly believing my ears I said "SERIOUSLY!!!" She then said yea our computers are down and we cant get then to come back on. Ok! First of all that is bot how to greet a customer. Secondly is there no downtime procedures??? How did we sell food before computers??? Third, this is the second time this has happened at this place and we have only been there 3 times. Sad because we do low carb and its one of the few places we can get meat to go.

Im really sorry to give this place a bad rating because Im all for family run operations as opposed to the usual restaurant chains. I gave it two stars and not one because it at least filled my belly so I was no longer hungry. I had the smoked chicken: dry, dry, dry! The ribs: dry, dry, dry! The corn bread: dry, dry, dry! The cole slaw: passable The baked beans: I have no idea because they LEFT IT OUT OF MY TAKE OUT ORDER!!!!!!!! (The Diet Coke was fine.) And imagine, all this for only $19.00!!!!

We ate here after touring Buffalo Trace Distillery...the ribs were okay, the Mac & cheese tasted like it was fresh out of a box with garlic powder tossed in, the green beans were ok...worst of all there were ants crawling all over our table and us while we were eating and all over the tray return as well! The employee never apologized just said "thanks well wipe the tables off" sorry to say we will not be returning...

I visit Staxx on average once a week. Their food is good and you will not leave the place hungry. Their staff are friendly and the owner is a super nice guy! I was volunteering to make some smoked pull pork for a charity event and asked him if he would be willing to sponsor some BBQ sauce for the event. There was absolutely no hesitation from him to help out. Awesome sauce!!!

Great food and a good atmosphere. It is a fast food place, so dont expect an over-the-top experience. But, if you want friendly service and good BBQ this is the place. It is a delightful change from tasteless burgers or restaurants where you are rushed through. Easy parking and outside tables when the weather permits. I really like this place!

This place is awesome. On a cross country road trip with 3 kids. Stopped in for some lunch and a break at Juniper Park. Manager saw my BFM tee (Chive On!) and decided to comp our meal. Totally made my day. Not to mention the food was legit! Great brisket. Thanks guys and good luck. Will be a stop I make when in the area.

Were from Charlotte and we were passing through. We chose this place because it was noted on Google about the best bbq in Frankfort. The ONLY thing that was good the pulled pork bbq. Our sides were not that great. As for the employees they seemed as if they didnt want to be there, werent friendly, and never smiled once.

Yum, yum! I never expected to find this level of quality & taste in this area. You must try the pulled pork and wings. You go in, place your order at the counter, and they bring it to you hot and fresh a few minutes later (took less than 10 minutes for a 4 person order). Check out their website!

Got BBQ here after a Bourbon tour, and we loved the brisket and cheap beers. The sauces were awesome too. But best of all, the owner was the nicest guy, chatted us up, and gave us recommendations for Nashville (our next city) - but we liked his best!

The pulled pork sandwich meal is the best food value in Frankfort. A whole lot of food for around $8 (including drink). Im picky about my pulled pork, and theirs is very good. Try the Carolina Twang sauce. Its at the drink bar not on the tables.

Went there for the first time Saturdayand was very pleased. The ribs were very good and the pulled pork sandwich as well. Ive seen a lot of negative posts about the fries but I for one thought they were awesome! I will definately be going back.

Chicken wasnt too good. Pork was ok and the mac n cheese was fair. Condiment items were gross & looked old and expired. Dining room floor was sticky and dirty. Stores cleanliness could be brought up. The crew was friendly and helpful.

Compare this resturant to the one in Tennessee it is AWESOME. BUT this is the second worse bbq i have ever had. It has no taste at all. The sauce they have is not much better. I will never come back here again. Thanks. All

Ate there for the first time today, Not bad, but not especially good either. Average brisket, VERY good smoked wings, below average frozen shoestring fries, and bland baked beans. If I ever go back, itll be for the wings.

Fast, but not fast food. The quality of the pulled pork is even better now than when they opened. We love the sides, too. A great last minute meal when you need to feed a group. I highly recommend Staxx.

What a fine, blues themed, local BBQ joint ! Nice clean place with a decor twist on local history. The BBQ has their signature flavor and they have plenty of special side dishes. Go often !

The service is great and so is the food! I live the wings, the sweet potato fries are top notch, and its pretty inexpensive. Great stop for lunch or dinner, or to feed a group!

Pulled chicken was excellent however the ribs I subbed for my two meat platter was 5.00 extra and not worth it! This seems like more of a fast food BBQ place.

Cant say enough about this Local favorite. A sauce for every palate. Delicious items to please any cravings. I choose Wings & Ribs and was totally satisfied.
