I really really wanted to like this place. I love non chain small bbq joints.Ive heard word of mouth that ppl love it and those kind of reviews go a long way with me. right before i went I read a review describing the bbq sauce as ketchupy. Thats exactly what it was, tasted like doctored up ketchup. also the pork didnt have a smoky enough flavor for me, which I dont understand as you can smell the hickory in their smoker. I cant bring myself to give the place less than three stars because its so popular, and hey this review is only MY opinion, so dont let it scare you away, give it a shot. Sauce is everything to me is why I cant give it more stars. People were quick and nice, and they were playing some great real old school country, not that pop country crap.

I went there for the first time and got the most uncomfortable stares and a slight attitude from my cashier. Prior to paying for my order I notice that indeed they had accept debit cards. It was about four people ahead of me which most of them used their cards without being asked for I.d. so when its my turn not only did I have to show my I.d. in order to get my food she acted as if I didnt have enough to pay the entirety of the amount which was 54.87 money worth spent but felt a little unwelcome.

I have lived near this place for over 15 years and only just started going there a couple months ago. Food is good, cheap and plentiful. The barbecue sandwiches are above average. Service is always pleasant, the staff are always polite and friendly. Ive heard the chili cheeseburgers are good, and I love chili cheese burgers, so Ill try that next time and come revisit my review.

Ive been eating here for over 20 years (since I was a young-in). Almost all options are good! Their barbecues are delightful, but I usually go there for their double cheeseburgers, best around and unique flavor! Fast, friendly, filling, and reason ably priced. Only bummer is that they are closed every Sunday and Monday.

My familys been eating here for as long as I can remember. Its a small place. Youll drive past it if youre not paying attention. The people are friendly and the bbq is hand-chopped to order. Great chili burgers, Brunswick stew, and of course... BBQ. Their most popular item is the chili burger. Try one.

Always great food. I have eaten here since I was a kid back in the 60s. My grandparents loved it and I still love. It has only improved with time. They stick to a simple menu with the things they do best; and, they do barbecue better than anybody. I love the chili cheeseburgers and the coleslaw too!!

I thought I would be impressed with the smell I get when I drive by, but sauce is bland (watery ketchup flavor) at best. Sides are no better. Pork is the winner, but I need something to go with it. Employees are nice, but not overly friendly to customers that arent regulars.

Was expecting quite a bit more based on reviews. Disappointed that only bbq is pork and very finely chopped and drenched in ketchuppy sauce. Thought for sure they would at least have ribs. Service was fast and friendly and cashier was welcoming.

This place is by far the best BBQ place around. Always perfection, never fatty, and it just melts in your mouth. The only thing I dont like about this place is that its closed on Mondays :)
