Im pretty picky about Mexican food, so when our favorite restaurant closed down it was hard to find a replacement. However, El Ranchero is absolutely fantastic. The food has always been fresh and very authentic. Portions are large, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is also excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. Im really glad I tried El Ranchero and will keep coming back!

Ever since the place was taken over or rebranded (which ever the case might be), it has not been nearly as good as the restaurant in the same spot years ago. For better text-mex, walk to Hot Head, for better Mexican goto the other side of Walmart to Mi Tierra... For the best in the area, hit Buttermilk Pike and go to Montoyas!

Very small portions. Who every heard of just serving rice with your burrito and no refried beans. My girlfriend got the chorizo quesadilla and it didnt come with anything. At least the margaritas were good. Were sticking with El Jinete in Taylor Mill. Hands down destroys this place.

Ive always gotten great food and service. They have some really good authentic options, meaning everything on the menu isnt smothered in cheese and sour cream. Their homemade hot sauce makes it worth the trip all by itself.
