You wouldnt expect much from China Go, judging from the outside. After eating, you would realize that your expectations are correct. A fast food Chinese place that serves their wares from warmed chafing dishes like you would get at Panda Express.
I got a three-item meal with beef and broccoli, the house special chicken (the lady behind the counter let me in on what makes it special - its a lemon chicken), and the spicy General chicken.
The latter two were breaded fried pieces of chicken, but of course leaving them to sit in their own sauce for any meaningful duration leaves the breading soggy. I cant say much for the flavors, but to call the General chicken "spicy" was a gross exaggeration.
The beef and broccoli fared better, due to it not being fried. Bamboo shoots and carrots came along for the ride, which I thought was a nice little way to mix up the typical titular ingredients for the dish.
A big ol heaping of fried rice or lo mein come with the meal, and you get your choice of a crab rangoon or a chicken eggroll.
The saving grace of China Go is the absolute mountain of food they give you, as depicted in my included photograph. It cost a scant $7. China Go knows their audience, and while I cant say I would return, I would certainly recommend it over Panda Express, if youre hankering for some cheap Chinese. Support local business, and all that.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE china go!!!!! if you EVER have a problem...or if you want it made a bit different..like less breading..more sauce..super fresh..ANYTHING,all you have to do is ask and they are MORE then happy to oblige!!!!! they make it their point to get to know their customers! ive stopped going to ANY other chinese place because ive gotten sick from EVERY single one of them! this is the only place ive never gotten sick from!!!!!! thank you all at china go for making your customers your top priority!!!!!!!!!<3

Just discovered the new location on East 13th. Excellent flavor and quality. Im sooooo happy I found this place. Good Chinese is hard to find. Went back today for second round of Orange Chicken after last weeks wonderful experience. It was awful! Stringy, dry chicken. Batter was mushy and falling off the chicken. Im guessing that is was not made fresh and had been sitting around in some warming pan. Shame on you China Go. Thats not how you keep your customers coming back! Im changing my rating.

While the service was very courteous and did a lot of things to try to improve our experience, the actual Chinese cuisine was overcooked and lacking flavor. In addition, the shrimp had a fishy smell that should not exist if the shrimp was fresh, or at least just unfrozen. Strangely enough the catfish was excellent, and the fried rice was better then average. In closing, Id youre looking for rice and fish, this is your place. All other aspects were severely lacking. Would not go again.

Super friendly and helpful owners and operators. Good prices on amount of food you get with the 1, 2, or 3 item meals. It is in a small suite, so if its busy, seating can be hard to get, but if youre just popping in for a quick grab and go, its ideal. Not their fault, but parking can be difficult, just park in the Walgreens lot just to the North and walk a few steps to the restaurant. The steps and ease of parking are worth it.

I was a huge fan of this place but it seems everytime I eat there it seems to get worse. The food has seemed to have lost its original appeal. I do Stoll crave it though, from time to time. But then when I do eat it, I just dont get the result my craving was anticipating.

Friendly employees but the food is terrible. Their food tastes the way Chinese take out tastes the next day when you reheat in the microwave. Even their rice is off. The red sauce you get with sweet n sour chicken is orange and citrus flavored. Always disappointed.

This is my favorite take out restaurant, for the amount of food they give you did the price us astounding and ice never had a bad meal. The pineapple ribs are a fantastic first try.
