Very interesting place and also very confusing at first. Took us a few minutes to figure out where to order, how to order and what to order. But once we figured it out things went great from there. There were about 20 people already dining when we walked but It only took about 10-15 minutes to get our order. Portions are pretty decent and the price was very reasonable. Everything tasted good even though both dishes could use a little more flavor. But all in all we liked the dishes we ordered. The restaurant itself could use a little updating and better setup but hey its working so guess its a judgement call. We may not become regular weekly customers but its definitely been added to our list of repeat places to eat out. So Stop in and give them a try yourself and you might add it to your list as well. Just give them a pass on the decor and focus on the Food.

I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE, EVER. I called this place to see when they closed and they picked up and told me they stop taking orders at 9:30pm. It was 20 minutes until close when I called them back, realizing that my family and I needed to place our orders (our very simple order) to ensure not arriving at the last minute. We tried to call back and they completely ignored us and when we got there at 9:32, they completely snubbed us (some of us from out of town) and just looked at us like a bunch of dumb animals through the window. I tried calling several times before they closed and no one answered. I will never go to this place and advise anyone to go to Pho Good or basically anywhere else because these people will have terrible customer service. Go to hell, assholes!

This place is a hidden gem! I never would have suspected this cafe to be hidden back in a little strip mall between Hardy and Metcalf off 103rd. I was lucky enough to venture over there one afternoon. Decided to give their pho a try and wow... It was one of the best I have had (compared to some of the other local places). The portions are huge for the price you pay! Usually go with a medium bowl of pho and that will fill you up. Have to reserve the large bowl for those days you are starving! They also have bubble tea that is excellent! I will certainly be back to try some of their other menu items!

I like to try new places to eat. My first venture here I was going to get the stir fried noodles (something familiar). The lady told me since I was getting lunch to go I should get something else, shot me down also on my second choice and then recommended the Pho. I have been addicted ever since. I have even now searched for other restaurants that offer Pho and gone and tried theirs. Cafe Vie has by far the best. As I try new places I put them in order, "well here is better than there", but not one has bumped Cafe Vie from being the #1 Pho in the Kansas City area.

I dont feel like we eat here enough and I visit this restaurant almost 5 times a month. From the beef pho to the spicy pork bulgogi, there isnt a dish that I havent love from Cafe Vie. During the lenten season you can find me there every Friday for lunch to have a piping hot bowl of their delicious seafood pho, mussels, calamari, and shrimp its delicious. Theres a variety of dishes to choose from and like I mentioned before, you cannot go wrong. On the visits where I leave a little room for a sweet something or other I treat myself to a pineapple or mango boba tea.

SLOW AF! First came out very peppery phó, which was one of 4 items we ordered. We waited 30 minutes for the other entree, which was very sub par, then had to continually remind the staff that we were still missing the other two items that we ordered. We were warned that the service was slow which I accepted going into the cafe, but to have the order come out at different time so you couldnt eat with your dining partner and have other later orders out before yours is ridiculous.

This place has decent casual Vietnamese and Korean food and large portions. They have Thai food now too but cant substitute tofu for those dishes apparently. Ive tried the tofu pho, bibimbop with tofu, and gimbab (their only vegetarian dishes). Even though this is advertised as a Vietnamese restaurant not Korean, I much preferred the latter two and will absolutely be back for them. Good lunch spot if you arent in a huge rush and dont have super high expectations.

I come here often and I love this place! They have good food and a variety of drinks. If you just want water, its self served. One thing to note about this place is that you have to throw away your own dishes at the end of the meal. Not just leave it there on the table. The menu items all come with a few sides. I would not recommend the Ramen but everything else YES. Try the Bulgogi(beef) Sandwhich or Tonkatsu(fried pork) if you dont know what to get.

I had pho but the truth is it tasted good but its nowhere near to what a traditional pho plate should taste like. Ill have to go to a more traditional Vietnamese restaurant to satisfy my craving for pho. Its an ok restaurant, no waiters, you gotta order your own food like at a take out place and take it to your table yourself. Nothing wrong with that but not upscale like other places.

Its a little confusing, the first few times you arent sure how to order and where to go to get your food. But, last time we were there the staff was friendly and helpful. The food has always been good for us. We love the pho and the bowls of pho are huge (get the medium unless you are really, really hungry). Weve also eaten the jjajangmyun and it is not as flavorful and we like it.

This is Korean fast food restaurant. You get in line to order your food, then you go to another to wait for your food. There is no waiters or waitresses. After you finished your food, you have to clean your table :-((. Think of McDonald. If you come for Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), you are in wrong place. The chef of this restaurants does not how to cook Pho. Trying else where.

Came in for weekend lunch. Only two other parties, figured the tofu pho would be served quickly. Twenty minutes later, a sour looking woman behind the cooking glass says its still not ready. Really, whats so hard about a bowl of noodles and chunks of tofu? Finally got the food, it was just OK. Not worth $7 for a medium bowl. You have to serve yourself and bus your own table. Lame.

Went there on a whim today with a small group. We loved it. I highly recommend the beef bulgogi and the lychee bubble tea. The pho was also delicious, though huge, and the spicy pork was quite good as well. Id definitely recommend this restaurant. My husband served overseas for several years, he was very happy with how similar everything tasted to what he got overseas.
