Everything about my experience at the Lafayette Brewing Company was sub-standard. Our service was lousy; we had to wait almost 40 minutes for simple hamburgers and chips. When we finally got a hold of our waitress she told us that the place was busy and they would get our food as fast as they could. While I can understand a busy kitchen, I do not understand the poor service we received from the wait-staff. We only saw our waitress three times in a hour. Once to take our drink and food orders, once because we waved her down to ask about our food, and the third and final time when she brought us our checks. At the very least, she could have come and checked on us and. After that fiasco, we went upstairs to the concert. Even though the place was only a 1/4th capacity there was no place to sit, the bar was over-priced, under-stocked, and under-staffed. Bottom-line, I wouldnt recommend this resturant to my worst enemy.

Ive been coming here since I was little, and LBC has stayed mostly the same during all of those years. My absolute favorite thing here is the onion rings appetizer. The rings themselves are huge and generally come out steaming hot. Two people can split this appetizer and barely have room for a full meal afterward, and its fine for 3-5. If youre there during the day and not seated by a window or in the bar facing the TV, theres not a whole lot to look at, but there are free refills for soft drinks and root beer to keep you occupied as you wait for your food. Waffles fries disappeared from the menu for a while (years?), but they were back as of my last visit.

Great inexpensive lunch option, (daily $6 drink and sandwich deal) walking distance from my office. The iced tea is always great, never been a big fan of the brew though... its me a lot of folks like it! Lunch specials are priced right and served fast enough. Just re-reviewing... still lots of good lunches for the price. Iced tea that tastes like iced tea!!! Thank Brew-co official out to lunch place for me downtown. 6/6/13 update.... still super iced tea! Shrimp Tacos a new favorite... a lunch that doesnt weigh me down or make me sleepy. CHeers LBC!! You are a good neighbor.

Food was great, service was terrible. It took quite a while for the waiter to get to us after we were seated, so we ordered drinks and food on his first stop. Our drinks came pretty timely, but it took over 30 minutes before we got our water. Our food took well over an hour. The food was great, but we sat for another 30 minutes after everyone finished their meals, and eventually had to flag down another tables server to get a box and our check. Very disappointed.

Went here recently with my wife. Experience was fantastic! Service was prompt, even on a busy evening. Facility was clean. Our server was great and made sure we were taken care of. I had a couple of Star City Lagers and they were good as hell! I had a Midwestern Burger and added a slice of Ghost Pepper Jack. It was great!!! Wife had some chicken thing, dont remember what it was called, but she enjoyed her meal, too. We will be coming back as long as we live here!

Good atmosphere, EXCELLENT service (I believe my waiters name was Tom), very good food, and great drinks. In our party, we had the chicken nachos as an appetizer, smoked pork, basil pesto grilled cheese, and fish & chips. No complaints other than the bathrooms being a little eh, but definitely not truck stop material. Ive been near Lafayette for years, and Im ashamed to say I just tried this place last night. Highly recommend the LBC!

Great place to enjoy high quality locally brewed beer with friends. The food is your average bar food and nothing to write home about. But the main reason I go to a brewing company establishment is for their beer, the food is only to compliment it and allow me to drink more beer. So with that said, I recommend this to anyone who appreciates a quality beer. The atmosphere was pretty good too.

Ive been to the LBC (Lafayette Brewing Co) multiple times per year for that past 5 or 6 years and its one of my absolute favorite restaurants. For starters, their home-brewed root beer is phenomenal. Ive tried a good number of their menu items, but my top picks are the pulled pork "beer-be-cue" sandwich and the double bison burger deluxe (2/3 lbs bison burger with cheddar and bacon) - mmm!

For a brew house this has a fairly small range of options. They have a lot of beers - but theyre all along the same lines and someone aiming for lighter or less hoppy beers can only enjoy the root beer. They do serve beers on Sunday (I dont know how!), but I didnt enjoy the experience. The friendly staff tried real hard, but the lack of options just ruined it for me.

Ordered half order of fish and chips, fish came out dripping of grease. Not crispy at all... Kinda mushy. Staff fixed a new order immediately. Waitress must have been having a crappy day, dropped off the new order and walked away. Said "Thank you" and seemed like she didnt give a Ratts arse. Came back later like a whole new person. Second order.... Awesome.

Underwhelming. The food is average, atmosphere matches the historical-feel of the town, and the beer is alright. The 85 was good and aggressively bitter, and the Star City was decent with a strong oat aftertaste. Both beers were room temperature, which we dont prefer... Not even sure if they were supposed to be or not.

We held our wedding reception at LBC in the upstairs banquet room. Kate, the general manager, was AMAZING with helping us plan all the details and the rest of the staff working with us on our big day were incredible too. Thank you guys for making our wedding such a special day and letting us all have such a great time!

Great local craft beer. Friendly service. Decent foods. Most meals are modifiable, using potabella mushroom in place of meat is great way for vegetarians to eat here. Menu updated yearly. Events upstairs (friends of Bob events, science on tap, other musicians) are always a treat!

2 things you need to know about this place: Scotch Eggs Black Angus Oatmeal Stout Bother are awesome and I get them every time I go. I get the bison burger with the true blue set up and it is also great. Cool atmosphere and great for all ages.

I always enjoy lunch here. Best iced tea too, and they keep your glass full. The specials are well... actually special! Piping hot soups.. ... still not ga ga for the beers, but they are good, Im just not a Porter, Stout, or IPA lover.

I have always recieved great food and service whenever I visit the Brew Pub. It is an wonddrful place to relax, with or without friends, and enjoy either lunch or dinner. Lunch-time is the best time to visit as it is not very busy then.

We ate there 8-9-2013. Food was mediocre at best, one of us had lukewarm chicken sandwich. Two of us ended up with nausea and diarrhea. Been here couple years before and didnt have such a bad time. Will never go here again.
