I had to come home and share my experience from this little bit of heaven. Every one who knows me knows Thursday is date night. I take my wife somewhere special each week. This week I found SOTSOT on the web and it looked too good to be true. We got to the location just south of 25th and College around 7:15...and the place was not crowded so we got immediate service. The young lady that waited on us was like a long lost friend and was so nice I felt my self wondering why I hadnt met her before. She gave us some hints about the menu and then let us get to looking over the simple menu. My experience with the web and pictures has been like that date you thought it was going to be turned out to be someone almost 20 years older? In most cases, you see a picture of food from the menu and you have to wonder...is this going to look that good? I ordered this 3 item sampler with Etouffe, Jumbalaya and Bourbon chicken....and if you get the chance...you should do the same...I am saying...this was so wonderful...I have never had such a delight. And on special was an appetizer that was 3 shrimp sliders...blackened shrimp on a tasty toasted bun...with a slight amount of slaw and topped with diced onion and tomato. .you get three of these things...and it was just a glorious treat. Overall this place service, food quality, and ambiance was so good - I just want folks to experience it. As an added treat - we saw the chef on the way to our car. I was quick to tell him what a gift he has. Do yourself a favor and give this place a chance. You wont regret it.

Caught a Saturday late lunch. The owner was gracious, friendly, enjoyed answering questions, and was very open to feedback. The food called back to recent NOLA vacations. The etoufee was correct. Add a touch of hot sauce to make it pop IMHO. My wife and I split the Creole Cakes and the King Fish, which was the special. Both were very good but I enjoyed the Creole Cake most. The Creole Cake was the owners take on shrimp n grits. the grits are set overnight and lightly fried on order and remind meof an excellent polenta. Toppings of peppers onion and plentiful shrimp were sauced well. Great flavor and texture for me. Will looked forward to having it again. The King Fish was very tasty The fish itself, as promised, was neutral and firm. Be prepared for small bones. The sauce and shrimp topping really made it. Be sure to spread that around to get the best in each bite. Sodas were available by the can. The owner indicated an exterior space will open soon and beer will be sold. That sounds like a great fall evening with friends. We will return with great expectations based on this visit!

Just ate there with my family. I was born and raised in southwest Louisiana so I know what these dishes are supposed to taste like and everything was great. My daughter had the seafood gumbo, I had the bayou cakes (grit cakes with shrimp), my boyfriend had the etouffe, and my son whos only four ate gator bites and macaroni bites. The service was great and the owner was very friendly. He even brought out some sample of dishes for us to try. The atmosphere is very nice too. Being a Louisiana native I am very critical of anywhere that claims to serve Cajun food and I can say that this place has gotten it right! We will be regulars here from now on.

Every time we go the staff is so friendly, it is very clean, great portions. I always get the catfish poboy and it is the best sandwich I have ever had, better than New Orleans and the sauce was so amazing my son was just eating it bare. They give you 2 large long pieces of fish, its more than enough. I love this place, trust me you will not be disappointed.

Nice addition to fall Creek place neighborhood but food is just subpar. Service is good and friendly but definitely not sourcing any fresh or local ingredients (you can by all this processed/frozen food at the ghetto kroger on 16th St.). Bread is best thing going for them - which it should being a po boy.

Took over an hour and a half to get our food, the service was extremely slow. It wasnt even busy. The portions were small. Food was OK. The decor was tasteful and they did a good job with the set up. Maybe it was an off day for them but they really need to hustle to be successful.

The food was delicious! The wait was loooooong! The soft jazz set a relaxed atmosphere. I dont think the wait was typical, just a snafu. Look forward to visiting again.
