Bar-none the best hibachi (and Japanese food in general) Ive had in Bloomington or Indy and the best service of ANY restaurant Ive been to in either city. No exaggeration on either count. Menu is reasonably priced and varied, with everything from standard hibachi fare (steak, shrimp, chicken, etc.) to "fusion" stuff like curry and generals chicken. The waiter was charming, polite, and super helpful, especially with our kids: He stopped to chat with our son a few times and even encouraged him to run and goof around in the restaurant at one point when we were the only people in there. Seriously cannot say enough good about this place. I came in expecting a full-blown hibachi with a grill at every table and almost left when I saw their one grill was at the back (with chairs so you can sit and watch) - VERY happy we didnt. Our new favorite restaurant in town, both for the quality/price of the food and the excellent staff. edit: Should also note the atmosphere - I never really pay attention to that, but I couldnt help but notice it here. Great music selection, lighting, and table placement. Overall it had the food/service/atmosphere of a high-end place but was far more reasonably priced than some of the locations weve visited around Indy.

If you are looking for purely good sishi, unfortunately Hana is not it. I ordered Chirashi which supposed to have bed of sushi rice but it did not come with any. Also there was no tuna on my assortment of sashimi...well, the biggest issue is that all of the fish was too waterly. This happens when you do not defrost frozen fish properly. Defrosting frozen fish is not a problem as most good sishi restaurants even in Japan do that to keep fish fresh (actually most tuna gets frozen on the boat when they get caught). Defrosting properly requires good experience, or it becomes waterly fish like we had. For spending $50, it was not good. If you are looking for good sushi, go to Sakura or Asaka. We usually go there but i just did not have time today and tried out Hana for take out. Hopefully Hana gets better as the people are nice and I can see they are trying hard.

Went twice. 1st first it wasnt busy but the steak was lukewarm at best. We just received an excuse that the cook made the rice and vegetables after the meat, so we let it go. 2nd time at about 6 pm on a Friday, right before they got very busy. We waited an hour for our entrees and they served my husband his hot entree 15 minutes before bringing mine. Other people who arrived after us were served their hot entree before us. I asked for the manager but no one came to our table. There was no gesture to offer us our appetizer for free or anything and the specific request to have the steak hot this time never happened.Dont order a glass of wine because they serve it in a small champagne glass. We will never eat there again. Overall the food is fine but the service is unacceptable.Service is everything...

5 stars is not enough stars for this place. The atmosphere is fantastic, neon lights on the ceiling and a soft, smooth, peaceful feeling. We were placed in the way back but for us that was again- perfect. Now to the food, started with an app and then was brought our sushi entree. We tried four different rolls, while we figured out our top favourite, we would order any single one of them again. Before we were through the rolls we had decided this was our new fav in Indy. The mango ice cream was the cherry on top of an incredible eating experience. As a couple that doesnt get out much, this was a dream come true. Pricing was fair, I was expecting it to be exactly what it was. Grabbed a carry out menu on our way out. A serious treasure that youre going to want to go back to but keep for yourself.

This was an amazing experience! I loved the atmosphere and staff. The food was so good, I am glad to have a place like this so I dont have to go all the way downtown in Indy to get good Japanese cuisine anymore. I am not sure what to recommend as everything so far has been great. My favorite experience so far was the Nabeyaki Udon. I loved the presentation with the style of the bowls and the wooden lids; I easily enjoyed it more than Mikados equivalent. That broth was too good, I did not want to stop ^_^. Check this place out if you are near by, or even if you have to go out of the way a little bit. It is right by I65.

This is our favorite sushi place! Scott and his team always create the best sushi! Unique dishes and always fresh and delightful! The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxing. I have asked Scott to "surprise us" with a new dish - and his creations are always mixtures of tastes which flow wonderfully together. His menu is delightful for those who prefer cooked or those who prefer traditional sushi. This is our favorite place to take friends and relax! They have a wide assorted menu that always has something different and delicious!

Was looking at this place for over a month and finally went in to try it with the wife. Best choice ever! Service was informative and friendly. Teriyaki chicken bento box was great, the California roll was spot on, but best of all the fusion rolls were awesome! The ocean bullets were the best followed by the fire dragon! Incredible. Topped it off with mochi ice cream which was super good! Cannot recommend this place enough! Will definitely be back for more!

Scott and each member of his his crew are fantastic! What a relaxing and enjoyable experience - every time we dine here! I am always impressed with the great food and considerate and cheerful staff! They go out of their way to make each meal delightful and memorable. The variety of the menu is inspiring. Scott is always working hard to provide new and exciting dishes to enjoy! He is a craftsman, an artist, who uses food as his canvas!

Probably the worse dragon roll ever. It was a sliver of eel and a whole lot of cucumber. And no eel above it. We mentioned it to the staff and their response was that they used the right amount of eel. Yea, Ive traveled all over the country and that was the most un customer oriented response ever. Not sure why they have such high ratings. I supposed its because there isnt something better to compare. Definitely not coming back.

We were traveling through the area looking for something different for dinner besides the usual fare. We found this restaurant on Google maps and were sure glad we did! Jacob was very attentive to our table asking if we had any questions about the menu and ensuring our dinner was prepared to our liking. I really liked the variety offered by the Bento box and everything was very tasty!

The service was very adequate, everyone was polite and friendly. I ordered my favorite Japanese dinner (chicken yaki soba) and my dining partner ordered his favorite (crab rangoons) and branched out for the main course (hawaiin passion chicken). Unfortunately, neither of us liked our meals. The flavor and textures of both main courses were just wrong. (the fried rice was fine).
